Depends.  If he can't work with Daboll or QB coach Culley and there aren't any WR there for another week, he might be better off somewhere else, working with Jordan Palmer and some of our WR independently

But if he has not signed his contract yet is he still constricted by the bargaining agreement seeing as he isn't on the team yet? That crossed my mind as to why he hasn't signed yet, because the way rookies a slotted there is not much leverage holding out.

    Which is greater ...
Number of posters that know who Spiro T. Agnew is or
Number of posters that can tell you who the last Bills punter was that completed a pass.

I'd say more know the punter, but I can only guess Brian Moorman. I do know Spiro T was Nixon's VP,  I was in high school back then.

Another punter question, who was the punter that also played linebacker?

I think this was another domino to fall towards Tyrod still being a Buffalo Bill for one more year as we draft our long term answer in the first.

I have no problem if he's not, though... hopefully it's because we have Darnold or Mayfield

    ... or Luck :flirt:

You can forget about Luck. He is the reason McDaniel is going to the Colts; a quality quarterback in place to build on. Luck isn't going anywhere.

He's been awesome this game. Granted it's a blowout. Not complaining about anything just happy for the guy.. ok, complaining a little not a fan of the trade.

Darby also played great against Atlanta. He basically shut down Julio Jones (basically, not totally) without help. Julio usually demands double coverage. Darby has played well in every game I've seen him play in this year. But he evidently wasn't buying into the "new administration" and was not a scheme fit according to Peter King - http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2017/08/ronald_darby_didnt_buy_into_buffalo_bills_new_administration_says_peter_king.html.

"said the biggest issues with Dennison he was hearing was the drop in production in the run game and that Juan Castillo was HIS recommendation"

That's interesting because Castillo was hired way before Dennison and McCoy was supposed to be the favored choice at the time. Also, Castillo and McD had the Philadelphia connection.

Word on the street it is a vaginal injury, unsure how extensive, but apparently he will be out a while with the beating it has taken.  He also will not be on the team next year

So a guy with a lot of heart tries to play with an injured knee, an inacurate quarterback and never complains, and you react like that? Pretty low!

If you're a Bills Fan there's only one "Hit Heard Round the World" and Brady ain't in it.

You are so right 26. That play of Stratton crushing Lincoln (who would later play for the Bills) was universally known by that title. Thanks for the vid, great memories of that awesome defense back then.

  8. We have six picks in first three rounds. Hard to believe that more than 6-7 rookies are going to make final roster. So a 5th or 6th pick is worth less to the Bills this coming draft.

As evidenced in the last draft, picks can be used as currency to move up in various rounds. They jockeyed around with almost every pick, which I believe was McD targeting specific players he had designs on. "So a 5th or 6th pick" is worth more, unless you think they're just going to sit in their draft slots.

  9. When I was a boy my parents surprised me on a day we were doing family activities and stopped by the Bills practice at Niagara University.

As so many young kids would be, I was thrilled at the idea of seeing the players and getting their autographs.

When we spotted one of the players going to the practice field I ran as fast as I could toward him. It ended up being Robert James.

James had a big smile, juked me out, wrestled/played around with me and gave me an autograph. He was very friendly and kind and this left a lasting impression on me.

I have met a variety of Bills players under different circumstances -

but will always remember my interaction with James at an age when I looked at the players as super heros.

Thanks, great story. Robert James was one of my favorite Bills players back then. No one could play bump and run, tight coverage better. Unfortunately he was never the same after his injury, or he'd be in the Hall of Fame. One classy guy though.

  10. coy wire was a pretty good LB @ stanford

i tihnk his instincts are more suited to LB, as opposed to a defensive back.  however, good luck with him having to take on blockers and whatnot

He's already proven he has trouble with "whatnot."

  11. Wow this is certainly very telling.  Preston certainly has the size for the position but he must be dumb as a rock not to earn backup duties here.

To the contrary, Preston is very smart. As I recollect he had one of the highest wonderlic scores of our draftees that year.

Also, from his profile: Preston is a highly intelligent athlete who lettered four times in football and baseball at Mount Carmel High School, where he twice earned San Diego Tribune academic honors.
