The knives on the bus

But people who are scared don't usually throw accurately, what if you hit a bystander! You wrench throwing tough guys are all the same. -

Damn it, my life has no meaning if I haven't convinced some jackass on the internet of my "bravado". Typical anti-gun argument with the "you would shoot a bunch of bystanders" argument. I can assure you I would not be hiding behind the seats crying, and not because I'm brave, but because I would not be able to live with myself if I stood by and watched another human be brutally murdered. Apparently you have no problem with that. -

I would think one time would warrant it, but that's just me. I guess it takes more ruthless murders for you to feel the need to protect yourself and family from that possibility. Do you think most murder victims were "paranoid enough to think it would happen to them"? probably not. -

Thank God nobody is allowed to carry a firearm in Canada or this guy might have been hurt! -

Jeremiah's has the best wings in Rochester. There are a few good places to get plates though. Mark's Hots makes a mean plate, but you may want to wear a bullet proof vest. -
3 or 4 bodies I would assume.

I'll pass thanks.

"First time caller, long time listener" Who cares! "I'll hang up and listen" I'm always tempted to call WGR and say "first time caller, long time listener, I'll hang up and listen" then hang up. Oh, and "I could care less" annoys me. If you could care less, it implies you care about something. The phrase is "I couldn't care less".

The Best T-shirt You've Ever Owned

you're spelling sucks and your stupid! -
I'm sure the idiot who pukes all over the kid in front of him uses the same "if you don't like it stay home" reasoning. If you buy a SEAT at a football game, you should reasonably expect to be able to watch the game with out somebody blocking your view all game because he fells like standing the whole time. I would bet you are the guy with his back to the game waving his arms up and down and yelling for everyone to stand up.

Are you kidding me! I'm a casual fan because don't stand all game. I haven't missed a home game in 7 years...how bout you? I arrive at the stadium every game day at 8:00am and set up tents and flagpoles etc. I enjoy the game and cheer and yell and amazingly I have yet to ruin it for the people behind me who may not be able to or want to stand for 3 hours straight.

Lifecycle Mutual Funds
HereComesTheReignAgain replied to ieatcrayonz's topic in Off the Wall Archives
They are great if you are a relative novice to investing or don't have enough money to diversify right away. You will most likely pay a little more in fund expenses, but for many people it is well worth it if your alternative is choosing 1 or 2 funds or guessing on the right allocation. A lot of our rollover IRA clients invest in target date or lifestyle funds, but we are dealing with mid to low balances and people who do not have a financial planner taking care of a big portfolio for them. I don't think I've ever responded to a serious Crayons post before...I'm still waiting for the punchline. -
Death Penalty Ruling

I would think that the death penalty would be reserved for cases where the physical evidence along with victim testimony was very convincing. -

I can't listen to the audio at work, but just based on what is quoted in the article, he seems to justify the tactic of ripping apart a young rape victim on the stand. I don't care what you feel your obligation to a defendant is, you would have to be sub-human to destroy a child to free a rapist. I understand what you are saying though. He is trying to illustrate tactics that could be used to defend someone facing the death penalty. At very least, he chose a very poor way of explaining this and he will face a lot of backlash. -

Perhaps, but he does indicate that "as a defense attorney it would be his duty" which indicates that he would use that approach himself and would expect others to also. It would think any decent human would be able to defend a criminal without detroying a child victim's life. I realize that many defense attorneys and politicians are far from decent humans. -

This Representative should be removed from office immediately for this disgusting display. How could you ever justify trying to ruin a child's life to defend a rapist. A Massachusetts politician and defense attorney has touched off a firestorm with his shocking public vow to torment and "rip apart" child rape victims who take the witness stand if the state legislature passed stiff mandatory sentences for child sex offenders. Rep. James Fagan, a Democrat, made the comments during debate last month on the state House floor. "I'm gonna rip them apart," Fagan said of young victims during his testimony on the bill. "I'm going to make sure that the rest of their life is ruined, that when they’re 8 years old, they throw up; when they’re 12 years old, they won’t sleep; when they’re 19 years old, they’ll have nightmares and they’ll never have a relationship with anybody.” Fagan said as a defense attorney it would be his duty to do that in order to keep his clients free from a "mandatory sentence of those draconian proportions." Those comments drew the ire of local activists as well as colleagues. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,371344,00.html -

I know that if it was a member of my family that was raped, the rapist would get the death penalty. I can't imagine what the parents of one of the victims would be feeling, but I don't think I could restrain myself from going after the rapist myself. I know that is not the "right" response and you should leave justice to the courts. -

Heading 13 hours north to fish for walleye with my dad on July 4th for a week. No phones, computers, electricity or people! Nothing but beer, cigars, fishing and relaxation. We are in the Julien cabin. http://www.wetetnagami.com/en/index.php

Bloomberg is one of the few "candidates" for VP that would prevent me from voting for McCain.
