  1. Slide three is now a picture of a baby! Perv.
  2. Replace "Mitt" with "Obama" and "Massachusetts" with "Chicago", and you can sum up the way a lot of us feel about Obama!
  3. I think there is plenty of blame to go around on both sides of the aisle. Maybe people were naive to think that Obama could get everyone to work together. I wonder if he really believed that he could get things done or if it was just a bunch of hollow catch phrases? If he believed his own hype, this has to be a really tough reality check!
  4. Mitt agrees with me! “The theme ‘Yes, we can’ seems to have been replaced with ‘Well, maybe we can't,’” he said. “I believe that with all the challenges America faces, the simple solutions and the hope that were sold by the Obama team are inadequate to the task ahead.” http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/...-a-rocky-start/
  5. Really! You type this abortion of a post and criticize my reading comprehension? I had to read it 3 times just to figure out what you were trying to say. I must not read as well as you. "Actually it was always not only "Yes, we can" but it was "No, you can't" (meaning the stubborn Republicans who had their chance for yes we can the last eight years and blew it). And it's still "yes we can" and still "no, you can't" unless you bring something to the table and join us. Obama has said, and still says, in the exact same way, that we the country will get out of this. He's always said it's a huge mess and won't be easy but yes we can. The only no we can't is if he gets zero support from the other side that he needs."
  6. Like I said "no we can't, but it's not my fault". If Obama's slogan was something like the jumbled mess you just typed, there is no way he would have been elected!
  7. That's priceless. When your argument falls apart resort to questioning our patriotism and cite some BS polls. I can assure you that I don't "want America to fail" and I would never make such an arrogant, moronic, and pitifull statement about someone else just because they don't agree with me on a message board. Very sad.
  8. Agreed, nothing beats the champagne of beers! I generally keep Yeungling in the kegerator and bring a couple sixpacks of tall High Lifes to any classy BYOB event. During hunting season they were camouflage!
  9. It is amazing how quickly the rally cry went from "yes we can" to "no we can't, but it's not my fault".
  10. You're right, just because she is married to a guy who has failed to pay several types of taxes many times over the last 16 years has nothing to do with her judgement. Just claim that you had no idea there were a bunch of liens and pay them off when the press finally outs you. After all, when you are married to a powerfull politician, what is the IRS going to do to you? He was not disputing the taxes over the last 16 years, he is only now questioning them because it looks better than saying "I just didn't feel the need to pay them".
  11. For someone who fakes outrage at my post which you claim is "loaded with fabrications", you might want to stop fabricating your own posts. He has not been disputing the taxes owed for the last 16 years, they are caliming that they did not know there were any liens on the business and they were unaware of the taxes owed. Another person claiming ignorance. It is funny though, they paid them off right away when it could affect her nomination. I was incorrect about the lien being on the home instead of the business, but you seem to be fabricating excuses at record pace. "Solis and her husband, Sam Sayyad, were unaware of liens against his auto repair shop until USA TODAY asked about them Tuesday, White House spokesman Tommy Vietor said Thursday. Vietor said Sayyad went to the Los Angeles County tax office and paid what he was told he owed — about $6,400 — to settle outstanding liens." This doesn't sound like an assesment issue to me. "Records show Sayyad had two liens, from 1994 and 1996, for $1,255 in unpaid state sales taxes. The remaining two, from 1994 and 1995, are for $786 in unpaid county health and safety fees." http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/20...and-taxes_N.htm
  12. Using Suze Orman to back up a point is a recipe for failure. She is an entertainer, not an advisor. Whenever I get a call and the person mentions that they "heard it on Suze Orman" I know something stupid or missunderstood is coming next.
  13. I like your strategy, place the bar so low for this administration that you can't possibly be disappointed.
  14. Way to miss the point. Obviously nobody should cheat on their taxes. But I don't think screwing up taxes makes my mechanic any less of a mechanic. Now the Treasury Secretary on the other hand better understand taxes if he is going to be a good Treasury Secretary. He doesn't, and that makes me question Obama's judgement for picking him to head the IRS.
  15. You really can't understand why people expect more from Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner for example, than the average citizen? Lot's of jobs require you to be held to higher standards than other people. I have to report my investments among other information because I am a Registered Rep. I can be fired for failing to report these investments. I am held to a higher standard than others in this regard due to my profession. I fail to see why it is out of line to expect someone who is in a position of power with the IRS to understand how to do his taxes.
  16. Call me crazy, but I prefer nominees not to have tax liens on their homes for the last 16 years. I guess I'm just expecting too much from the "most ethical administration ever".
  17. Do you think 95% have ignored tax liens on their homes for 16 years? How about owed over $30,000 in back taxes? Do you feel that politicians should be held to a higher standard when it comes to correctly filing taxes than the average mechanic, salesman, janitor, etc?
  18. Sounds a little better than the current mess of a bailout. Thanks.
  19. On a serious note, I would be interested to know what Mitt Romney would be doing about the stimulus. I really liked the fact that he had some real world business experience.
  20. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/...fter-president/ (CNN) — Students at former Ludlum Elementary School made history when their school became the first in the nation to be renamed after President Barack Obama. It’s virtually unheard of to name an educational institution after a sitting president. Students and parents gathered for the official name change ceremony Wednesday morning where the “Barack Obama Elementary School” sign was unveiled.
  21. This looks pretty good. I may give it a try Sunday...And schedule my bypass for Monday. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/28/dining/2...no_interstitial
  22. Isn't vodka supposed to be tasteless and have no odor? I always found that odd.
  23. Single malt is much better than even a good blended scotch. Try a Balvenie Doublewood or Dalwhinnie with a splash of water (not tap) and you will appreciate the difference. As far as mixing scotch, I'll make a Rusty Nail once in a while. 2 parts blended scotch (Famous Grouse is my favorite) to 1 part Drambuie. mmmmmm
  24. Another great Brothers of a Feather tune. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELgr-zcjkdE...feature=related
