The best way Buffalo can shut up the "experts" is
dreadlox replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
win the first three?? let's shoot for 19! that would shut up the crtics. realisticly i would hope to see buffalo win just one of these three games. if they win two, i'll be elated. -
that doesn't say a whole lot for their ability to scout/evaluate personnel. they are a franchise i complete disarray if you ask me.

AVP spends most of his time with the QBs. Shonert is(or will be) expendable. the bills QBs were impressive this week so the Offensive QC coach gets praise and the QB coach gets blasted.

As of today JP is still front runner
dreadlox replied to buffaloboyinATL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i can't imagine anything other than injury taking jp out of the starting lineup for week 1 at this point. i'm not sure why the coaches won't just come out and say it, but clearly jp is the guy. -
Kyle Williams now the starter ...
dreadlox replied to daquixers_is_back's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
if we're gonna allow kyle williams to be larry tripplet, can we perhaps see if jp losman would mind being peyton manning for a couple months??? -
What is the biggest question mark
dreadlox replied to BoondckCL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
our punter will again be amoung the league's best. beyond that i'd say there are 52 enormous question marks. -

So Spikes will change LB spots when he returns?
dreadlox replied to MadBuffaloDisease's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If its true it could make a lot of sense...Spikes is the bigger more phyisical of the 2 and after his injury may be a step slower than before....let the quicker/lighter LB Crowell play the weakside LB that's exactly what i thought or maybe just hoped when i read this news. hopefully it will pay dividends. crowell showed us last year that he could get into the backfield on the weakside. hopefully he can produce even more this season. it will be interesting to see how takeo comes back and now i guess how he responds to a new position. also, i'd like to hear opinions from the board on posey. is he done as a bill or is it possible he could get time as DE/pass rushing specialist? -
Yeah, he dropped weight alright. From his belly to his ass.

Do you think now that Nall is out indefinitely,
dreadlox replied to Oneonta Buffalo Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's done nothing so far to think he has a chance to be anything but 3rd string. If the injury is anything significant, he's not only out of the starter's job, but has no chance at #2. That said, he'll be 3rd stringer this year, when healthy, & if he can't get to 2nd string by 2007 it's sayonara. He's not looking like a good signing right now. Wow, i'm glad your not my boss. two days and nall is already a bust. -
Interesting: Did Marv just pick three...
dreadlox replied to Lurker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
he plans on using their semen to create a youth serum. -
Michael Irvin, yes, Michael Irvin has made
dreadlox replied to Lv-Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Something isn't right. Two out of three of these NC State guys have bust written all over them. Maybe not, but cmon, you certainly could make an assumption. So you think mccargo will be the only good one out of the three? -

Marv on with Sean Salisbury and John Clayton
dreadlox replied to JoeF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Handing JP the job and letting PhatPat/Jonas walk makes me beleive that he was playing for 2006 and that he would have made more effort to bring higher caliber players into the OLine mix this year. The discussion can never be more than speculation but I'm inclined to think that given that one more year he would have spent another Day1 pick (or possibly even 2) on the OLine as well as making a serious run at LBentley (who probably would ahve gone to Cleveburgh anyways); and would have had a nice looking OLine when the season started although you may be right in saying that was tom D's plan, i think it is a pretty flawed plan. a successful offense begins with a good line. looking at the good teams in the league proves that. big name skill players often leave their successful teams for lucrative deals elsewhere, and their former teams continue winning games. the loss of premier linemen, although sometimes overlooked , leaves a much bigger void in my opinion. losing a productive lineman also frequently creates a domino effect and can cause other members of the unit to struggle playing alongside unfamiliar and often less talented replacements. i think part of that is that consistency is needed along the o-line as they play not as five players but a cohesive unit. building a team around a young qb and skill players is laughable and the results are what we see now with this team. damn, i thought all my teflon tom angst was gone. -
Marv on with Sean Salisbury and John Clayton
dreadlox replied to JoeF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
from your summary JoeF i can't help but think just how profound the differences are between marv and tom donahoe. marv clearly had to settle for a 5th in exchange for moulds and openly admits he had no other offers. i have to believe tom d would have been very stubborn in that situation which you could view as positive or negative i guess. also the fact marv discusses the logic or thought process behind hirings and signings is a big change at OBD. his frank manner in discussing jp(at least i get that impression from your summary) is also very different from anything tom d would ever say. i'm not sure how marv will work out and he's definitely giving us some reasons to doubt him, but it is refreshing to actually here comments from our gm that are actually insightful and not just a bunch of BS meant to mask all of the failures the team has had -
i agree with the positive posters here. at least this schedule could give us a glimmer of hope for a somewhat competitive second half. the first two road games are tough, but the team i figure will struggle in those early games anyhow with all the new personnel, new offense and defense to learn, etc. hopefully the bills will get it together at some point this season(i know it's a bit of a stretch) and the winter home games should benefit them. i epecially like miami coming to Buffalo in Dec. the 1pm starts are a huge plus as well, mainly on the road. teams in general don't seem to perform well in late (4pm) road games and i have heard many former players speak about that. most say they find it hard to get really into a game after spending the better part of the day in a hotel room or meeings, etc. i don't really know how accurate that may be, but it's always seemed a logical theory to me.

my hatred of miami and new england would keep me watching, but i don't think i would follow the team in its new form.nor do i see myself picking a new team. i'd still just hate the same teams i hate now.

How is Moulds going to get his catches...

the existence of EM will forever be debated by members of two camps. there are kelly holcomb enthusiasts who argue that he most certainly exists. some even claim to hav e"game tapes" proving that he in fact is an nfl "Wide Receiver". most tapes however when investigated are proven to be fraudulent. then of course there are the JP losman supporters who deny any and all claims that there is such a creature named eric moulds on the roster of the buffalo bills or on any other football roster anywhere. "maybe you could find him in loch ness" one bills fan joked last december when reports were rampant that eric moulds had indeed been spotted in an endzone somewhere in WNY. the debate will never be settled until undeniable forensic evidence is found. paternity tests on children in the orchard park area are ongoing to see if this elusive creature has attemped mating with local human women.

well with the release of Brantley, the rest of the bills offseason moves just make no sense whatsoever and seem rather lackluster... oh, wait a minute
