  1. Manufacturing Meth? Jeez, though not a surprise coming from AK.... Though I would not pin this one on Palin any more than I would pin Blago on Obama.
  2. Latest on the recount, Franken up by 257, projected after challenges to be up by 74 by the Minne Trib.
  3. The only thing is, why haven't American car companies come up with this and push it. (That was a rhetorical statement). Darn loser car executives.
  4. Here, I will add something constructive... check out these new high performance diesels and add in the idea combining with bio-diesel which burns even cleaner. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/7232357.stm
  5. Where are you at with dividing Iraq into threes with Sunni, Shiites and Kurds having their own territories???
  6. You know what I don't get is the fact that we try to be so politically correct with other countries, yet they make no effort not to insult us. Not sure why this bothers me, since we are the biggest bully on the block, so maybe the guys should be granted clemency??? But if you ever insult a policeman in this country, or did threw a shoe or other object at the President here you would probably receive the same beating and would unlikely be able to receive any redress.
  7. Agreed, but it needs to be a national standard at this point, not one set by the states. But that is where the rub is. This is set by the States as written in the Constitution in Section 4 of Article 1. Unless there were to be an amendment to it, this kind of chicanery is likely to continue.
  8. Or the people running the corporations and companies they work for, actually probably less.
  9. Call Sarah Palin and ask for some of that oil royalty money back.
  10. What are you talking about??? Feinstein isn't bad, actually in my opinion, too acomodating to Bush, Boxer is rough a la Slaughter, but I don't get that off Kennedy... Do tell what you are talking about.
  11. Great (sarcasm), Senator Smiley...
  12. LOL, but you protest too much, better not drop the soap any time soon.
  13. Maybe, but you still don't have to be a jerk about it and she often is to the help, especially because they are so under paid... Her perspective is it is a stepping stone, then she should be a positive mentor and not treat people the way she does... This happens across party lines and she is one of the bad actors... And no you don't have to slash and burn if you treat people with respect. Sometimes you have to pick a fight, that goes with the territory, but the good ones can all sit down together afterward and the staff do all the grunt work... Slaughter should have more respect. P.S. No wonder her staff turned over so often... they were to quote Monte Python... running away!
  14. Naw, just your good old down low banker buddies in the midwest who never met a sheep or a young heffer they didn't liyake.
  15. Brought to you by the fake sugar industry of whom is one of Chuck Schumer's and many of NYs politicians biggest campaign contributors... I don't buy this one.
  16. Nice to see Louise is liked up state, I can tell you her staff bailed on her regularly. She didn't treat folks too well. Not sure about her politics, but she was one of those you avoided working for because of how she treated the help.
  17. It is and not because of this, it just is...
  18. More lies of the Republican attack machine... here is what he really stated from the horses mouth! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/rep-barney-f...o_b_150350.html
  19. I agree and I am concerned, NY is increasing spending with less revenue and CT is cutting spending, despite major cuts when times were good, yet they didn't lower taxes...? Where did the money go I wonder.... Both states are screwed up.
  20. Always the extremes Moriarty... you and the negative waves.... Not Walmart, but not Sachs or Anne Taylor in NYC either. There is a balance, but your posts show you don't get that either.
  21. That is why I worked primarily for Blue Dogs... Colin Peterson, Leonard Boswell and a few moderate Dems... Kika de la Garza and Jay Johnson as well as Tom Daschle. Those were always the principals they espoused. Especially, Peterson and Boswell.
  22. Stop spreading that lie... They told the banks to stop red-lining in poor areas and make legitimate loans, doing their due dilligence. So did the rest of Dems. But banks were making too much profit elsewhere to bother doing their research, so they applied to same tactics to high risk areas without doing their homework. A lot of people looked the other way because at least they were making loans, but no one told them not to do their homework.... That is on the banks. Get it right.
  23. None of these guys should be paid as much as they do in this economy or anytime... It is ridiculous. That being said, Football is a team player and just because Peters came on late imitating A-Rod when it no longer mattered doesn't make him an all-pro. Also his comments about blowing one or two plays a game should count when he does some much better the rest of time should count for something is immature and misses the point. He is the left tackle, he can't afford to blow any plays. Does a goal say, hey that's okay, because otherwise I played well.... No, in fact Linde Ruff grilled Miller recently about letting in some soft goals. Peters at left tackle doesn't have room to make soft plays and when the game is on the line he needs to step up, not immitate A-Rod. Until then, his summer hold out will remain unforgiven in Bills territory... Trade the clown and get someone who understands the word team and using the statement I am sorry for not doing better, I will work harder. Heck, he brings half of it on himself with his Diva like TO responses.... Please.
  24. I agree the GOP whored itself out, however the center of the Dem party which appeared to win out is that government should be lean, but effective, not less government necessarily, but effective government at a cost effective rate. There is middle ground here both can agree on. Dems believe in a strong military too, just not the wasteful, lying, contracted out to beltway bandits one under the current admin and we believe in family values... families that stick together except our definition is more broad based. Which is why some of what Ron Paul says is attractive... On taxes we believe in a progressive tax code, not an over burdensome one, but I will give you credit, we are vulnerable on that one because Dems often loose sight of the definition of over burdensome... But we also believe in balancing the budget and living within ones means... Too many folks on both the left and right forgot that lesson at the turn of century and we are now paying for it. But this means that often we can agree with our conservative brethren, if not on priorities, at least on overall levels of taxation and budget balancing. The problem is less about not wanting an economic success for this country on either side, but how to best to get there and what those priorities should be that will get us there. On the paragraph, I left out because I completely agree with you. But understand what you described minus the limiting aspect of you term family, the lack of check on the military, and
  25. Vs. a subprime borrow and spend tard a la Pres. Bush and the knuckle draggers
