  1. I would do it legal by finding out if they played in a sport, joined and layed him out at the appropriate time.... anyone for a game of hockey?
  2. Interesting, Planned Parenthood and the ACLU tried to overturn a right wing written law with consequences so draconian that no exception for the health of the mother was made. It still may be part of planned parenthoods agenda, but that issue was not addressed in the press release. So once again, you RWers are taking something specific and stating it as broad fact. Both sides do it, just pointing out the flaw in your argument.
  3. Wasn't that how all the pedophilia priests in catholic schools were exposed? Through lawsuits, not the courts nor the church who covered them up for years? Lots of hypocrisy on all sides on this one... in this case it just seems wrong. Not sure about the abortion thing, but I would tend to agree with the definition of a child argument, except that you knuckle draggers make an exception in the case of capital murder all the time... I happen to agree with the exception, but there is another one that falls outside of the ideological hard and fast line!
  4. For what???? He already has the power. ??? Did that thing on you moniker have all the bugs worked out or is it still crashing and burning?
  5. In light of the drug etc. I think any strip search without probable cause, a parent present and consenting, should not be allowed on school grounds. Arrest the child and then allow the search. Checking pockets is one thing, strip searching is not appropriate at this age and without consent.
  6. Cuomo, as much as I don't think much of, idea of exposing the names of federal employees (AIG) receiving bonuses should be standard practice. In fact all salaries should be made public as well as their assets. They should all have to fill out a Public Financial Disclosure form as requied under law by all federal employees and be required to go through an ethics review... Novel idea! Making them pay back bonuses should be illegal unless voluntary.
  7. Actually, not a bad idea... I like it, finally these overpaid prima-donas would have some incentive to work for a living or feel the taxpayers wrath!
  8. If the Bills move to Toronto, fans should root for the Giants or Jets.... F TO... double entendra(sp?) intended.
  9. Oh please, what difference, the Press is all over this one... Has Oxy boy already called for his resignation, probably. What about Drudge, yes it is already up.
  10. True... Agree with everything you said, except that Obama better stick to the tellaprompter or he is going to alienate the side that supports him, while he already has the other side calling him in the words of the late George Carlin a "commie, pinko, FA#. That being said, I am wondering about him, McCain wasn't the answer, but it is beginning to become apparent, neither is the Messiah. P.S. I have a son who will probably participate in the Special Olympics when he gets older. Needless to say, I am not a happy camper...
  11. Another on Foreign Travel: http://clerk.house.gov/public_disc/foreign/index.html
  12. Here is one that lists salaries http://www.legistorm.com/blog/tag/Clerk+of+the+House.html
  13. Is that all you rwingers got on Pelosi??? Common pick it up. I want her gone too. Lets see, how about she goes through staffers quicker than most and she is a senior leader. Check out the average length of stay for a staff person in her office. Should be in the Clerk of House's Report that comes out quarterly. Then you can really review your congresscritters expenses. Also, check committee expenditures, some of that stuff is hidden there. Lets see where is a link??? Don't see it but start here: http://clerk.house.gov/public_disc/index.html I will keep looking.
  14. As long as we can include the last administration and Wall Street, GM and the Sub-Prime Banks and Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac etc, I am all for it. Impeach them All!
  15. Bush wouldn't know a teleprompter if it bit him in the !#@$!@#$.... If he could use one, he wouldn't have sound quite as much an idiot as he was. Obama, I agree has some growing pains in the middle of a crap storm thrown his way and I am not thrilled with some of his decisions. But, Wall Street is still acting like a petulant child, because despite creating a lot of the storm they still want their bonus checks....WAAAAA! They don't deserve them. Bonus checks should be based on performance. You knuckle-draggers (fake free marketers) always cry about the Unions preventing this from happening... okay apply it both ways... But I agree with the libertarians, quit the bailouts.
  16. What the....???? I don't like the guy, but if he can perform one year with the Bills maybe he can cash in, but at his age the Bills could use a guy that has something to prove. If not, it is only one year... whatever. I still hate the prima dona... Keep him away from Chippewa Street.
  17. Ah more repackaging of the same old, same old... Whatever! I want more tax breaks for rich athletes... our new Republican constituency... Yeah!
  18. Socialism for you clowns is a nice label for anything you don't agree with.... good name calling. That being said, government involvement in banks is socialistic in its nature... The stimulus part is less defined. Furthermore, with the economy in the dumper for the short-term, some stringing out of the pain while we go through the inevitable business cycle exacerbated by the trickle dicks and spree marketers in the extreme is more Keynsian IMO is necessary. But whatever, nice ad-hominid attack piece.
  19. She is a nice foil for the Republican to blame... they hate her anyway and it is better for Obama if she is blamed then anyone else. I don't like her, but at least she is a loyal Republican hating Dem... And so is Boehner on the other side. You have to respect their motives, they can't stand the other side with every fiber of their being.... Can anyone say "War of the Roses"!
  20. Pot meet Kettle. I hear you, and as horrible as this sounds this is the only way Congress gets anything done, when it appears something is urgent. You would have seen 10 times the pork on both sides if there was more time given to it. Also, this is the same way the Republicans (you don't hear Collins or Snowe complaining) treated the Democrats. That being said when the shoe was on the other foot, we complained just as much to little avail. But it makes of nice theatre, little else.
  21. This crap happens all the time and I am sure the stuff that gets inserted at the last moment and can be stripped out just as easily if Boehner would just do his job. He has plenty of young staff that have expertise in each section and work 18-24 hour days that can point in large block lettering so even Boehner can read it any objectionable sections. But since Republican's answers to the stimulus of more tax breaks for banks and corporation, what is the difference. Right now a short term stimulus of 2 years is what needs to happen until the economy and the bank losses can be weeded out. I still think the mortgage crisis needs to be more effectively addressed but tax breaks for executive bonuses does not generate minus the trillions we have and are wasting in Iraq. so how do you think buying a little time is such a bad thing, now that we dug ourselves such a big hole that has begun to spiral. The first thing to do is slow down the spiraling, and then get everything back under control. But you go on believing that right now letting everything sink or swim on its own merits is the right answer. That and a quarter will be barely even buy you a bubble gum ball these day... forget about a cup of coffee.
  22. He had plenty of time, there was nothing new, the knuckle head should get off his schtick, quit smoking, leave the tanning booth and massage parlors and do something. All the pieces in this legislation were written and completed weeks ago. The only left was what was going to kept in or pulled out. Boehner is a lazy arrogant piece of crap and not even that good a politician... Even the Gingrich/Delay crowd realized that and marginalized him. Now he is pulling A-Rod style bush league theatrics that don't mean anything. But hey really, what has Congress got to do with helping out the economy anyway.... Very few of them could find their rear orifice even if you handed them a flash light and a map, so why should he be any different.
  23. Not under the new laws regarding terrorism. Also, police have been instructed to confiscate this stuff and deal with the rights violations later. I had a run in with Capitol Police a few years ago despite being a staffer there. Talking to the offices LT, he explained their non-written policy to me. I was polite and the said officer was reassigned, but was not reprimanded. My condolences to all those involved. I ran track against Clarence High, as an Amherst High Grad. My deepest sympathies go out to all those involved.
