No, I'm not saying it's all on him by any means. He and that offense still aren't built to win a game that way. He's the MVP this year, 1st team All Pro, and put together one heck of a season. They let him do whatever between the 20's, but shut them down after that.

Ngakoue had 1.5 more sacks on 320 more snaps than Lawson. I don't see Beane ponying up $17,000,000+ as season for him. I think the more likely scenario is we re-sign Lawson and get another Day 2 or early Day 3 DE whom they feel has upside at the position.

Yeah, I know that he isn't really a viable option in Cleveland or especially the NY Giants with Daniel Jones. I could have seen him being able to do well with the pieces Dallas has on offense, but he's not a Jerry Jones kind of guy. I thought he might fit well in Carolina with Cam, if they keep him, or if they chose to draft a young QB like Jalen Hurts from Oklahoma. I thought Carolina might have had him in during the bye week for an interview. No go there though. I mean, hell, even Brian Daboll got an interview.

So far you have 3 of the HC spots locked up with Washington, Dallas, and Carolina now getting "their guy" to run the show. That leaves Cleveland and NY. I'm surprised Roman hasn't gotten much chatter because of what he has done with Jackson and that Ravens offense this year.
