Should the Bills bring in Marcel Dareus?
H2o replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If he could improve this putrid front we have and play a decent 1 Tech then why the hell shouldn't we bring him in? I don't care about his past. I don't care if he is a "process guy" or not. I want to see a better product on the field defensively after the weekly show we have been subjected to. -
OLine Pass Pro against Chiefs/Allen unforced errors

And the dime throw under duress to Diggs in the back of the endzone Diggs just flat out dropped. -
Nice nugget there on Shanny facing a McD defense, Dave. Did not know that. I think both games should be W's at this point. I think the last 2 weeks have been an aberration for the offense. We faced both teams who were in the AFC Championship, one the SB Champs, in back to back confusing weeks of football. From a Tuesday night game where we had been working on two game plans while missing a lot of key players and having some key miscues, followed up by a game against the defending champs on a Monday at 5:00pm coming off of a bad loss. I think the Jets fit right into our schedule at a good time where even if a guy like Milano has to be rested again to be ready for NE, or even Tre and John Brown are out again for that matter, it gives us a chance to get back on track. Health will be key in our run to the division crown, but this isn't 2018 Josh despite what all of the haters popping up out of the woodworks want you to believe.

Are we not allowed to win West coast games? Do we not have a team capable of winning West coast games? I know the 49ers just beat the Rams, but they lost to the Eagles, Dolphins, and Cardinals. If we get key players back at full strength like Brown, Milano, Wallace, and Josh's shoulder gets back to 100% then I think we could beat both of those teams handedly. I also don't buy into the Kyler Murray hype. He's decent, but not elite by any means. Hell, he was 9 for 24 last night against the Cowboys struggling defense. SF is also a shell of the team they had last year with all of the injuries and the loss of Deforest Buckner to the Colts. Kittle is a bad match up for everyone and Deebo is a special player, but who else really stands out? Janeane Garofalo? Yeah, not scared of him either. At worst I think we are a 10-6 team this year that still wins the division. At best we are 12-4. This schedule is not a cakewalk like last year's and I'm still confident in saying that.

@ NY Jets - W (5-2) NE Patriots - W (6-2) Seattle Seahawks - L (6-3) @ Arizona Cardinals - W (7-3) LA Chargers - W (8-3) @ SF 49ers - W (9-3) Pittsburgh - L (9-4) @ Denver Broncos - W (10-4) @ NE Patriots - L (10-5) Miami - W (11-5) We win the AFC East, get to host a playoff game, and get a W there in for the first time in 25 years.

Dolphins name Tua Tagovailoa starting QB going forward

He missed a couple of games because he had another one of those high ankle sprains and chose to have a procedure done. He didn't go down with the hip injury until November 17, 2019. -

He played until November last year my friend. It hasn't been that long of an absence. -

I'd hardly call 10 TD's and 7 INT's "lights out", but he would definitely be better than Dalton. The Dolphins aren't going to trade him though because they have no one else if Tua falters or gets injured. -
So much for the user name

They are only a game behind us in the division so I don't really understand this move. But hey, if you want to go with the rook then get him out on the field. -
And that's what I'm talking about. The mental mistakes and lack of instincts for the position. He did the same thing against TN. He always seems like he's guessing out there and guessing wrong at that.

Trent Murphy and Harrison Phillips benched for Chiefs game
H2o replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't believe so. The only reason I even remember it happened was due to people mentioning it in the gameday thread going on at the time. -

To me, this little experiment of McDermott's reminded me of benching Tyrod for Peterman. That blew up in his face as well. Then last night we get destroyed by the Chiefs on the ground after holding Derrick Henry to 57 yards on 19 carries the previous week. -

Dodson hurt his hamstring at some point in the 2nd half -
This is year 3 of Tremaine Edmunds at MLB and he simply isn't getting it done. I have no doubt that he is trying to play through his shoulder injury, but it is the mental mistakes that are still on display. Last year he looked like he was making some progress, but this year he looks like a rookie all over again. Losing his gap integrity and getting caught up in the wash. Not processing what he sees on the field fast enough to where he simply reacts to make a play. Missing tackles(could be due to the shoulder). Ineffective when blitzing because he doesn't look for a gap to shoot through, he simply runs into blockers. In coverage a lot of times I have noticed that when a pass has been completed underneath he has had his back to the receiver who caught the ball. Maybe he needs to be switched to SLB so he can roam like Thomas Davis did in Carolina? I don't know, but at this point I can't see us picking up his 5th year option. Then you have Milano who is good when on the field, but he always seems to get dinged up. Do we pay the man or do we let him walk in FA? It's a tough situation for this McD and FO to decide. Personally, I'm hoping Milano gives us some resemblance of a hometown discount and we can get him re-signed for 3 more years at least. I hope they move Edmunds to the outside and shift their draft focus to a legit MLB in 2021. Then we have the depth situation that needs to be addressed. Klein is obviously the weakest link in the unit and is a liability most of the time he's on the field. Dodson is ok, but can't stay on the field either it seems. We may end up needing 3 starting LB's out of the next offseason. It's a scary thought considering the deficiencies we have elsewhere on defense as well.

For everyone freaking out about the D last night
H2o replied to Captain Caveman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's not just the points. They could have thrown the ball more and lit up the scoreboard if they had too. It wasn't necessary because our defense was gouged for 245 yds on the ground making CEH look like an All-Pro. Mahomes was still 21-26 for 225 and 2 TD's. Our defense can't stop a nose bleed. -
Hindsight is 20/20, but I would rather have Phillips and Lawson over Jefferson, Butler, and Addison.

That doesn't sound good. We have been relatively healthy these last couple of seasons for the most part. This year, probably due to the weird offseason we had, it is catching up with us more.

Josh shoulder injury affecting his play?
H2o replied to DBilz2500's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When we beat the Jets this week our record will be 5-2. If we beat the Pats the following week our record will be 6-2. That's not a bad first 8. Even 5-3 wouldn't be a bad first 8. We need to get healthy. Milano is necessary and I'd rather have Levi out there than Norman getting a majority of the snaps at this point. Hopefully Ford's injury is not long term. Josh is already struggling for time in the pocket. Outside of Diggs and Beasley no one is getting open. Or when they are open they're not securing the catch. People are going to ride Josh and try to say everything is his fault because that's what clowns do. Anyone who actually watches the games and sees it for themselves know there are many factors to the performances the last two weeks.
