  1. I actually think that Eberflus could get the ax in Chicago still. Then they would push everything to the forefront in going after Harbaugh, with Harbaugh being a former Bears QB. I could see them throwing a ton of cash and power his way. Chicago also has the #1 and #9 picks in the upcoming draft. Very enticing for anyone looking to build a franchise. I'm sure Harbaugh could get the most out of Fields as well if they chose to keep him. Look what he got out of Kaepernick, and Fields is definitely more talented than him. It will be an interesting next couple of weeks.
  2. Yep, that's an easy pass on Peacock. I'll just check the ESPN website every so often for the score. If I truly feel the need to watch it, I'll just find a feed on one of the websites.
  3. They might even start looking to move on from Prescott if that happens. Jerry might want to give Lance a shot at a discounted rate.
  4. The only thing Josh is worried about is the Lombardi. Regular season MVP, Pro Bowl, whatever, whatever, it doesn't matter. He just wants to win. Whether he's putting up 426 total yds or a 100 total yds, the guy is just about that W. We've strung together quite a few of them in a row now, and against quality competition. Let them have their regular season accolades, and let our guy get that ring.
  5. Flacco's a nice story this year and all, but there is a reason he was out of the league prior to. He's not the answer.
  6. It's shaping up like either we win and get the #2, or lose and we're on the couch until the end of July.
  7. Moss with a couple of nice runs
  8. Well, the Steelers are looking like they're gonna do what they can to get in.
  9. Gosh darn it, House's wallet was in there!!!
  10. This is a pretty outrageous take. The only reason we have a shot at a SB is because of JA17. And as long as we have JA17 we have a shot at the SB. Do you think we'd have been better off keeping Tyrod? There have been A LOT worse QB's than JA17 who've hoisted a Lombardi when you go through the history of the NFL as a whole. Just from recent memory here are a few: Ben Ro has 2. Eli has 2. Nick Foles. Joe Flacco. Trent Dilfer. Brad Johnson. You think any of those guys are better than JA? Yeah, none of them are and they have Lombardi's to their credit.
  11. They will risk it for the biscuit that is the #2 seed and AFC East crown.
  12. My apologies. Watching Penix the other night against Texas, I saw him throw some really nice passes to all levels of the field and at varying velocities. I also saw him absolutely rip a few of them. You were indeed correct my friend.
  13. I like Tua. He's a high character young man, on and off the field. He's not a bad QB, but he's not a great QB. It is similar to the Daniel Jones situation in a way, but I think Tua is the better passer of the two. Two things stand out though. One, he is fragile. One more concussion could end his career. That scene against the Bengals last year was scary. And his lengthy injury history goes all the way back to college. Two, he seems to disappear in the moments you'd expect a $50M QB to show up. Tua has two actual game winning drives in his NFL career. Both came in 2021 and both were against the Jets. There is nothing about Tua that strikes fear into another team. Have you ever heard anyone, announcers, analysts, bobbleheads, opposing team's players, coaches, I mean anyone say, "We don't want to leave Tua too much time,"? I haven't. I've heard them say it about Mahomes, JA, Lamar, Hurts, Burrow, and even Stafford, but never Tua. He's a solid QB in the perfect offensive system for his skillset, but nothing about him is elite. The Dolphins will be forced to pay him unless they are fortunate enough to find a QB who outperforms his draft position. Can't say it will hurt my feelings when the Dolphins cut that check.
  14. Very true about Baltimore's backups. Their team is clearly on another level than Pittsburgh. On the Steelers QB situation though? Rudolph has looked like the best of the three they have started. He and Pickens also seem to have great chemistry at the moment. In the last two games Pickens has 11 catches for 236yds and 2 TD's. That's 12 yards short of what he had the 5 games prior to combined. All that said, I still expect Baltimore to win an ugly, 17-16 type of game.
  15. First off, I hope (just like everyone else) we beat the brakes off of Miami Sunday night to secure the #2 seed. But, if we do not, then maybe, just maybe, the Steelers do what the Bills did all those years ago and lose to a team's 2nd/3rd string to cost themselves a chance at the Playoffs. We shall see.
  16. I would give it to Flacco simply for the impact he's had for the Browns. He also came directly off of the couch to lead the Browns to the Playoffs. Damar is a great story, but he's done nothing on the field or for this team as it relates to the game of football itself.
  17. You gotta be smarter than this. But he is one of the worst owners ers in the league.
  18. The MVP race is over. Lamar will be getting his 2nd trophy after his performance today.
  19. The Jets made a splash move, what looked like a swing for the fences, but the house of cards crumbled quickly (at least for this season). They were the talk of the off-season. They were primed for a SB run, according to the sports media bobbleheads. Honestly, nothing about what they've done or "built" seems that impressive to me. Garrett Wilson and Sauce Gardner were really good draft picks who looked promising. They have talent all over the place on defense. Then they went out and got a couple of Rodgers' guys too. But the OL? The OL was always gonna be a problem. Becton can't stay healthy, at all. The interior was always suspect outside of Vera-Tucker. They sign Dalvin Cook, who was coming off of a 1,400 total yd and 10 total TD season, and then NEVER used him. The coaching has been terrible. Hackett has no business near a clipboard. Saleh comes off as arrogant imo. To me, it seems like he's nothing more than some rah-rah type who wants to be buddies with all of his players. Being liked by the players is fine, but you still have to be the disciplinarian and the leader of those men. I don't see it with him. The Jets will ride this Rodgers train until it jumps the tracks, even though they really should clean house in the FO and with the coaching staff. Douglas and the rest, but they won't.
  20. Russ threw the pick on the goal line. It was a stupid pass. Stevie Wonder could see that.
  21. Russ blew that 2nd one. The defense won the first. He was just a game manager.
