  1. My favorite rivalry. Always and forever.
  2. Having more good teams than anyone else should not be disqualifying. The opposite, actually.
  3. B1G is flexing on this bowl season. Kind of a joke that not a single team from the toughest league in college football was even given a chance to compete in the playoff. And I don’t say that as a Buckeye homer because I did not expect them to get in nor do I think they had a championship quality offense this year.
  4. I'd worry about another 2015 Jones\Barrett situation in that scenario. My preference is to keep it simple and let Wilson run his offense through Haskins--and let Martell sit and learn for another year--but we'll have to see how it goes in camp. Martell seems like a pitbull on a chain just begging to be let loose.
  5. Really nothing left to say about 2017. On to the next one. I'm also Team Haskins, but I think it will be an interesting spring/summer in the QB room. There must be a reason why Haskins couldn't beat out Burrow head-to-head last offseason - recall that Haskins didn't get named #2 until Burrow got injured.
  6. Ugh. I’d get it if this was some random bowl game, but USC is a big time matchup and a very important game for Ohio State. Zeke and Bosa playing against ND in 2015 pretty much means that everyone should play in every bowl game. On top of that, Urban has been promising for a month that everyone will go, and earlier this week Billy Price was insulted at the mere suggestion that someone might sit this one out. Weak move if true.
  7. You know I’m with you on JT. I love the kid, and I’m ashamed to admit that I told my college buddies this week that the team should leave JT in Texas where they found him after the game. It’s time to move on.
  8. I can easily envision a scenario where Ward sits down for Jeffrey Okudah tonight.
  9. Big line move to Bucks -10 this afternoon. Weird to see that type of move on gameday absent an injury or something similar.
  10. Gameday! Not sure which Buckeye team will show up tonight; hopefully it's the Urban Meyer death machine instead of the version that spots opponents points on special teams and turnovers before even giving itself a chance to right the ship. As I mentioned above, OSU owes USC a beatdown. The Trojans are one of only two teams I can think of (the other being Clemson) that owns significant bragging rights over the Bucks. This is a great opportunity to settle some long-standing family business.
  11. I think it's a funny bit of writing, that's all. Agree that the hire doesn't seem so bad in retrospect.
  12. The Woodbey announcement last night was a trainwreck from start to finish. I wish I could have that hour of my life back from Twitter. It's a strange feeling to be so happy about this class and yet so bummed about yesterday. Have I mentioned that Troy Vincent's kid looks like a complete animal?
  13. Ramzy Nasralla : "A mosquito floating down a river on its back with an erection screaming for someone to raise the drawbridge is equal parts delusion, arrogance and conceit. Tennessee's coaching search last month was that mosquito."
  14. Brutal that we have to see and hear trash like that until OSU pile-drives an elite program again.
  15. It's a dirty business.
  16. Huge win for Clemson pulling the top player in Ohio. OSU benefits greatly as a national presence in recruiting, and sometimes the emphasis on out-of-state talent means missing out on kids in its own backyard. Painful loss right there. Clemson is Ohio State's father and I hate it! Need a win against that program badly.
  17. Parsons stays home and signs with PSU. I wish that whole Oklahoma weekend never happened.
  18. Just pulled Proctor out of Oklahoma. No small task for a playmaking safety.
  19. LOIs pouring in for the Buckeyes. With all the drama in recent weeks, I had almost forgotten how psyched I am for Vincent, Ruckert, and Gil. #Supreme18
  20. Baldwin just won the Texas State Championship - I'm sure Coach Day and the rest of the staff are happy to have him on board. But between Haskins and Baldwin, does this signal a move away from the zone-read/RPO offense? Martel seems tailor-made for Urban's offense, so it likely isn't gone for good, but it will be interesting to see the looks change over the next few years depending on which QB is in there. I also would not be surprised to see Emory Jones remain indecisive and end up honoring his commitment. Kid seems confused about what he wants to do. Lots of fans are concerned about DE. I'm sure with the historically great DT class coming in that someone will be able to move to the outside if necessary, and like you said if Jones comes back and makes that move then I'd consider the position pretty much stabilized. Also, LJ recently refuted the rumors about his retirement.
  21. Michigan is a revolving door for quarterbacks.
  22. I saw on Twitter last night that schools are negative recruiting against OSU based on a tweet from Larry Johnson's son indicating that "pops" may retire soon. I wonder if that is having an impact, or if Cox just wanted to stay close to home and it's as simple as that.
  23. I just saw that Barkley won the Paul Hornung Award for being the most versatile player in the country. Well deserved.
  24. No argument there. Had OSU really blown the doors off Wisconsin in the B1G game, though, they might have snuck in. The opportunity to do that was there early on, and OSU's failure to take advantage was the nail in the coffin IMO.
  25. Anyone who watched the B1G championship could see that the game should have been over in the first half, but OSU turnovers and JT missing wide open receivers let Wisconsin hang around. That's how to win a conference and fail an eye test. The SEC had a down year so putting two teams from that conference into the playoff is a bit of a joke to me, but I am not surprised at all to see the Buckeyes left out.
