  1. I was talking with Heath Miller's (TE #83 Pittsburgh) cousin the other day abouth Heath just getting married and building a home in Pa. We were talking about his short career so far, 2 years, this to be his third. His contract was for 5 years with some kind of option after 3. Now Heath is a great receiving TE, but not used often enough and that is why he told his cousin unless used more he wants out of Pitt. If you remember the Pitt-Sea superbowl they never threw him the ball once. He told me once Buffalo had talked with him, but he never made the second round, TD had traded away Buffalo's first. How would it work for Buffalo to get him with his contract the way it is if he really wants out?
  2. Living in Southwest Virginia I used to be a fan of all the UT players the Bills would get. But drafting them in every round? Come on! After all, what was their record last year?
  3. You have to leave your options open. Depending on who is on the board at #12 and who is still available a trade down maybe a plus to gain another second rnd pick to tie with another to get back into the first for two picks. There is more than one stud LB, CB, RB, WR, whatever in this draft. Saying no closes ALL your options, but being hesitant maybe productive.
  4. I hopw we get him on the cheap and sign him for at least three years.
  5. Defense is a major concern still I think. I hope AP is still there at #12 and we trade down 4-6 spots and pick up another second. I think out of the first round 3-6 guys are a necessity: Willis, Puz, Okoye, Branch, Houston, or Hall, in no order. CB has to be the top, with LB second, and DT third. Just as important is a good RB in the second. At DT I personally like Paul Soliai in the 4th, 6'4 344 5.10 225-45X, used situationally on running downs.
  6. Not alot of money left in the bank considering that draft is coming also. I still look for TKO to be traded or released. With that said what is the asking price for Scott and June?
  7. Sitting back looking at who is available in this draft, I beleive it is key that Marv goes defense in the first round again. I think defense has the better edge in the first round, and offense in the second. My hope is we trade out of #12 to #15 or #16 and pick up another second. Then I get Willis, Okoye, Puz, depends who is available. Then we take our 2nd and our 3rd to get back into the first and hopefully get Chris Houston. Then in rnd #2 see who is around. Depending on what RBs are gone, Pittman may be a good choice. Now use our newly obtained 2nd and 3rd to draft quality position needed guys.
  8. I Hope, oh how I hope Antonio Pittman falls to us int the third. Oh great football GODs...
  9. I have to agree. Re-signing A-Train was a major plus. Let's hope Chris Brown signs with Cleveland. Adrian Peterson hopefully will fall to us. Rather then draft him trade down and pick up another second and use the two seconds to get back into the first. There will still be other backs avl in the third. I think A-Train can be a feature back. Heck he has only played what about 5 seasons?
  10. From what I have studied and seen there are more quality running backs in this draft then LBs, therefore putting a priority on them meaning a RB is more than likely a 2nd or 3rd round pick.
  11. I am going to give my opinion on why I do not want to see another first round RB. First, I Hope we resign A-Tain and draft a back in the second or third round. Now JP is gonna need a lil help to distract a defense on 2 and short and third and short. This is why I'd like to see Greg Olsen drafted in the first round. We need more then one or two receiving distractions. In a big set with two good tight ends this will be a huge distraction. I say look for Marv to draft to open up the receiving a little bit more and when that distraction has to be faced, bam, here comes the RB, thus a scary balanced offense.
  12. I say resign A-Train and get a RB in the draft also. I see a few out there that can come to us.
  13. I know after what he has been through this maybe uncalled for, but I have a few parting words for Willis: BREAK A LEG!!!!
  14. Lose our second and a third to move up for him? I think not. I'll put my faith in Price. By the way, have another beer.
  15. The marketability is the teams improving record and new players. Of course the Bills are in a small market and always will be. The key is for them to do good and let word of mouth do the rest. The Bills have more fans than just in Buffalo. As for most of the marketing it will come from the die hard Bills fans and hey, I paid and watched them go through losing four superbowls, and I'll pay and watch em tomorrow as well, win or lose! Go Bills, Go Fans, Go Buffalo!
  16. Trade #12 for a later first and aquire another #2. Is if feasable?
  17. He is gone and in a couple years time will be remembered about as much as Antowain Smith. Let him go.
  18. Ok, we now know the Bills have a 1st, 2nd, 2-3rds, 4th, 5th, 6th, 2-7ths. Now I am wondering how would it might be possible to stay at or around #12 and slide into another late first? Any formulas out there?
  19. Hell of an idea. Think Marv will keep the colors the same?
  20. This is why teams need incentive laden contracts. I am sure they'd rather play than sit. If we can get them and put bonus figures in their contracts, it may motivate them good. If we sign em early it will be 2-4 years, if late just a year. we'll see.
  21. JP and Evans would be good. After Jim Kelly I bought one Drew Bledsoe jersey. Waste of 65 bucks. Since then I have bought a look alike #7 jersey, but it does not say Losman. I think if I was to buy right now, two guys fit the bill, Aaron Schobel or Brian Moorman. I just hope we keep em happy and in Buffalo.
  22. My question here is how many people play the Tampa2 style of D? Some seem to think he is a product of that system. If so with few playing it, he may be left alone until Marv can pluck him for close to what he is getting now. I hope the came can be said about Harper. Bend but don't break kind of guys.
  23. Finally another yea vote for Antonio Pittman 1A TE Greg Olsen Miami 6’6 254 4.51-40 225-23X Vert 37 ½ 1B CB Chris Houston Arkansas 5’10 185 4.32-40 225-27X 36 2 RB Antonio Pittman Ohio State 5’11 207 4.40-40 225-16X 35 ½ 3 OLB Tim Shaw Penn State 6’2 236 4.51-40 225-26X 36 ½ 4 DT Paul Soliai Utah 6’4 344 5.10-40 225-45X 29 ½ 5 FB Corey Anderson Tennessee 6’2 247 4.70-40 225-19X 37 6 QB Chris Leak Florida 6’0 209 4.74-40 ? 32 ½ 7 WR Legedu Naanee Boise State 6’2 225 4.41-40 225-19X 40
