I cannot put a lot of faith in the annual Roscoe is underused discussion. Over 5 years, he has gone over 50 yards in a game, twice, over 100 yards once. The small quick receiver is a strategy that doesn't work very often in the NFL.
I don't think they take one either. Teams moving on Clausen and McCoy pushes a better player back to Buffalo. I like Brown, Cody or Ricky Sapp. I could see Buddy waiting to 3 or 4 and taking a Javon Snead or Lefavour.
After much thought, I have to agree with Bill. Understand, I am a huge Clausen fan and definitelty a Spiller fan. But reality has to be faced. We are a Northeast team that plays in the wind and the cold. That should be to the Bills advantage. Take a look at Brohm's first series against the Falcon's to get a snapshot of waht Clausen would be doing for Buffalo. Backpedaling and running for his life. Build the line now.
Well the good news is that Buddy and Chan are not going to make a choice based on an ESPN show no matter how entertaining and insightful. I would rather watch Clausen bring his team back from 17 down against USC to assess his character than hyper analyze his response to a chalk talk with Gruden.
All SEC performer, routinely ties up two blockers. He played for Nick Saban who knows a thing or two about defense. I think Cody would look great at NT for Buffalo. Watch the tape, he makes plays, more importantly his linebackers make plays.
