  1. Agree. Everyone assumes the injury will be season ending. Picture the scenario where the Bills are 4-0 and kicking everyone's ass, and (God forbid) QB1 sprains his ankle, or is in the concussion protocol for a few weeks. Are people saying "just tank the season, we have no chance"? You have to have someone who can muddle through and not lose 3-4 games by themself.
  2. You mean like the failed sneak against the Titans a couple years ago, or the failed sneak against the Vikings this year? Josh is many things, but for some reason, an awesome sneaker he isn’t yet.
  3. Just spit-balling…Oline talent maybe?
  4. That’s how an Oline plays. Hope the Bills line is paying attention.
  5. It's no secret they were all in on this year. Losing Miller hurt. Losing Hyde hurt. All the other realities throughout the season that everyone has conveniently forgotten really happened. Perhaps you can dredge up some contrarian posts you had from early in the season where you predicted we weren't built to win it all. You won't because you didn't. You believed like the rest of us. It didn't work out the way you, me, Josh Allen, Sean McDermott, and Brandon Beane all believed it could. Time to move forward, Armchair GM.
  6. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Beane's not lowering expectations a little bit on purpose. You could argue the expectations on this team from Day 1 of the season were off the charts and, I believe, were a burden. I think this team would like to fly under the radar a bit next year. Plus, if people think a GM is going to lay all his cards on the table in a post-season presser, well, that's just bad poker.
  7. It's a fact. And we lost 3 regular season games by a total of 8 points. We stunk last Sunday and need to make improvements.
  8. I think they lost just enough of their edge and "killer instinct" coming off the Hamlin injury to make a difference. I bet more than a few of them have been just emotionally spent the past few weeks, on top of the coaching and talent inadequacies.
  9. I’m rooting for a massive swarm of ravenous locusts to descend on the field and leave nothing but a pile of pads, helmets, and cleats.
  10. Are you really surprised he looked really defeated? He was. Literally and figuratively.
  11. Tuck rule! 😏
  12. Flip may not be the right word, but that torn piece can move from a position that produces no pain, to a position that produces breath-taking pain.
  13. I think I experienced that. I tore my meniscus and sometimes I could walk fine, but then, my ortho told me, the torn piece can flip around, and it would stop you in your tracks and make you cry like a little girl.
  14. I played in high school and sustained some decent injuries (concussion, neck, broken hand). It was still my favorite sport to play. When my two sons got into middle school, they decided to play soccer for their fall sport, and part of me was kind of relieved they didn't choose football.
  15. Gotta go in and take care of business. If today’s effort (so far) against Philly is any indication, they’ll be ready to play.
  16. Just win baby! Way to figure out a way Boys!
  17. I’m experiencing the opposite. My two sons, now in their mid20s, grew up Patriots fans (we live north of Boston) experiencing all the Super Bowls. I’ve been able to steer them toward the light, and they’ve been on the bandwagon since Josh was drafted. It’s a work in progress, but they “get” the Mafia and the history. And how much it means to Dad!
  18. I used to drive around Lake Ontario to and from college at St Lawrence U… Watertown, and those towns… just crazy, stupid snow.
  19. At the risk of mentioning his name, Tom Brady is going to the HOF in large part due to an effective ball-control passing scheme led by slot guys like Wes Welker and Julian Edelman. Aside from Randy Moss, he never had big name WRs. I pray we take a page from that book, especially as the weather gets worse.
  20. Damn near impossible, IMHO.
  21. As a guy who raised and coached two boys in multiple sports growing up, it's like watching your kids play sports. You focus on their successes and failures very emotionally and non-objectively. We're emotionally invested in every play. If you watched other teams with the same kind of emotional investment, you'd see their same imperfections too. We all deal with our BBFS in different ways. Personally, after following this team for 50 years, I've learned to lower my expectations on things I can't control. It's helped my post-loss recovery time go from weeks to days to hours!
  22. I didn't hate the shot they took to Knox. It was underthrown. That said, I wouldn't base our ability to hang with the Chiefs or Dolphins on two series of offense. IIRC, Dorsey called the plays against the Chiefs when they won back in October. And he called the plays against the Dolphins back in September (which I attended). If you remember your history, the Bills lost, 21-19, despite running 90 plays to 39 for Miami, earning 497 yards to 212, gaining 31 first downs to 15 and generating a 40:40 time of possession to 19:20. It's the highest time of possession in a non-OT loss since 2014. So can they hang with them? I think maybe.
