Why Didn't The Giants Test Beckham?
BadLandsMeanie replied to BadLandsMeanie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Give him time Anyway it was a joke. He is an immense irritation as a football player at times. Not just off the field "antics" but remember the personal fouls? But that doesn't mean his will get himself incarcerated. Being a dink isn't illegal. Anyway it was a jest but he will be delayed getting into canton if he ever does, because of his doofus attitude. TO owul dhave been a first ballot selction if he hadn't been such a PITA. -

I would because then he can't very well hold out. Then again with Beckham you never know. But I never heard a player holding out coming off a suspension. He will miss the same number or less than games than he if he holds out. Plus I don't like being messed with I would stick it to him. lol thanks -

HIU everybody, Odell Beckham posts a video of himself smoking what looks like a blunt. Why didn't the Giants just call him in for a drug screen?

I genuinely don't know. But is there a highlight tape of him not running? It was mostly running. I would like to see a tape of him just executing an NFL style drive. Short and medium passes driving the team down the field please. That would give me a way better idea. -

What if the Giants say they are willing to trade their 2nd overall pick, but you have to take Odell Beckham off their hands too? They want a 2nd for Beckham and you will have to pay him more than Sammy Watkins of course. He wants to be the highest paid. Do you give a second and a 3 year contract at the league's highest WR salary, in order to be allowed to give 3 firsts to the Giants for their 2nd overall pick?

Was the point really for a QB?
BadLandsMeanie replied to Dkollidas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
3 reasons I think. First it is to be prepared. IF a quarterback they really want comes within reach, they want to be prepared to try and get him. They are prepared now to trade up, but it doesn't mean they can get to somebody ahead of the teams who own those top picks outright. The Bills have always lived paycheck to paycheck draft wise. And then they cried poverty when it came to getting a QB in the draft. These guys save some of their money so it is there when they need it. Second is for most of the trades, they made a profit just on the trade itself. They got a little more value than they gave. Third is, needing a QB gave the Bills a reason to say when they were getting other teams to trade. So with Sammy for example, when teams asked why are you willing to let go of this man? They could say "Because we need a quarterback" instead of "Because he will get a lot of money next year and we don't think he is worth it. Plus he is flaky." That is what I think. -
Well, what you say is my worst case. I was hoping someone would show me the light. Which you did not in your post here. They got Dawkins last year but besides that, they laid an egg. A big one. We did get a new scouting staff in here though. Some left already. But I wonder if anyone we have remaining is experienced at picking offensive skill players? I hope so. I don't know. Beane isn't taking my calls.
