  1. It's more expensive than a trip to the sports bar.
  2. Green Bay is one of those teams, like the Steelers and Cowboys, that has a HUGE national following. Raiders, too, I suppose, but CBS can put them on any time. But this is their big chance to market 60 Minutes and Eight Simple Things CSI Hates about Meeting Your Mother or whatever crappy sitcoms they have to Packers fans.
  3. CBS only gets two opportunities per year to put the Super Bowl champs on. And that's IF Green Bay's other game at an AFC team isn't a night game. If it is, then this is CBS's only shot to televise Green Bay.
  4. Playoff talk isn't out of the question, IMO. This offense is scary good, and we've suffered through enough bad times to allow ourselves to enjoy the good ones. But anyone ranking them in the top 5 of the league is overrating them, if you ask me.
  5. Why not the other three? (Or do you think they're not interesting enough on a national level that it could happen?)
  6. None of them are easy and they need to take it a game at a time. A number of us looked at the first quarter and said "3-1, that would be doable." Now it's guaranteed. The second quarter, I think 2-2 is very within reason, and again, 3-1 is doable.
  7. As I pointed out in the shoutbox this morning, Cinci's D is tougher than any the Bills have faced. They are 5th against the pass and 8th against the run. The Bills had better be prepared to play a low-scoring game.
  8. Sabres, too. He likes Buffalo.
  9. Wilson, without a doubt. That kept the Bills in the game. Cheats two touches up that late? I don't think the Bills come back. That was a game-changer.
  10. The part about Buffalo looked pretty accurate to me. I'm not a big believer in Houston or Detroit, though, and as usual, Sanchez is overrated in this piece.
  11. It will be a shame if Dallas Clark isn't picked simply because his QB went down. And there's a guy in San Diego who is pretty good, too, although he may be hurt.
  12. My experience has been that the Times-Union does not do a lot of balanced reporting. The paper has repeatedly bashed some clients of mine without reaching out to get their side of the story. And that's the news section. The clients in question are pretty famous; as a result, my feeling is that the paper is tabloid-esque.
  13. 2.5 pounds? Plus 6 pounds more, already in the house? That's not even personal use, much less recreational. Someone is distributing.
  14. 45-35 Cheats, for the reasons miserable stated above.
  15. 1. They sure are. 2. Hope so. 3. Yes. 4. Why not? He did play in Boston. 5. I, however, am. 6. I feel the same way, unfortunately, and hope I'm wrong. 7. It had better be. I don't want to see the Bills roll over to the Cheats again. 8. Take a look at the demographics. This is not surprising. BONUS: But the Bills aren't running the K-Gun (which definitely was named after McKeller), or at least it doesn't seem so to me. The Oklahoma Sooners are, though, if you ever want to see it in live action again.

  17. Then he's changed his tune after a couple of years--and all summer--of using them as fodder for ridicule.
  18. Jeremy White retweeted this from Stevie: Ha... RT @StevieJohnson13 @Bulldogwgr BullDog i apologize for phone mishaps bro. MY phone was on track to drop more calls than i did vs Pitt
  19. A "heavy dose" of the wildcat is not a good game plan against ANY pro team.
  20. And yet the Raider fans are saying on their board that the refs got the result the NFL wanted on the last play of the game. It was a game where the refs really didn't do much wrong, IMO.
  21. Thanks; it was a point of discussion in the Bills IRC chat; we were all over what Lindell was doing with the kickoffs. BTW, if you're not at the game, I highly recommend the IRC chat, even if you can see the game on TV. It's fun to share with other Bills fans, and Fezmid does a decent play-by-play. irc.webmaster.com and the chatroom is #gobuffalo . Every week.
  22. Plenty of sources confirmed it was just cramps? And they got this from someone other than Gailey, friend? And of course, go Bills!
  23. DId you watch his kickoffs? He was upset at the game-opening touchback. He clearly did NOT want a touchback. Every other kickoff after that--until the last one--was high and into the right corner. I don't believe the Raiders crossed the 15 on a return except ONCE (they got to the 18). That's all planned and carefully kicked. (I must correct myself; after the FJ 1-yd run, kicking off from the 50, there was a touchback. No easy way out of that one, though.) He had a great game, and yes, I do know he had one blocked. Lindell was one of the best defensive players out there today. And I'm not his biggest fan. But today? Today he was pretty freaking good.
