  1. He's not a reporter. He's a columnist. I don't like him, either.
  2. Are you surrounded by people in tan jumpsuits?
  3. It's sometimes respectful to give the guy a chance to find other work. And it looks like a class move to the rest of the players on the team and in the league, some of whom will be FA targets some day.
  4. Time to move forward, I suppose, but hearing "Touchdown, touchdown, Drayton Florence touchdown!" was one of the highlights of last year for me.
  5. No kidding. Go to any gym, anywhere. You'll see guys more cut than Fitz, Eli, Peyton, Drew, whomever. But can they throw a perfect ten-yard out pattern on timing? (Hint: there's a reason why they're at the local gym.)
  6. Pardon me if this is posted earlier in the thread; I didn't want to read through all 179 posts. Seau is the 8th man from the 1994 SD Super Bowl team to have died, all before the age of 45. Freaky. http://deadspin.com/5867720/death-is-stalking-the-1994-chargers RIP, Jr.; may God bless those whom you left behind.
  7. Seen a pic of Brady lately? Looks like Fitz, but without the pecs.
  8. Oh, this could be its own contest. Across sports. It's not just math and tech. "Sticktoitiveness" instead of "perseverance," you know?
  9. Scott, when the media stops saying the players are "watching film," we'll catch right up. They know damned well better than we do that it's not tape, and it's not film, but that's the term they use.
  10. http://sportshl.com/football/Jackson_80_yard_TD_run/1110665 Google still works...
  11. Idunno about that. Gilmore went to Hutch's.
  12. The only possible negative consequence, if the Bills sign him, is a QB controversy. I like this a lot. Strong move. Even if he's not signed, still, strong move.
  13. ABOVE Sanchez. I'm loving the QB controversy that will brew in New Jersey.

  15. This is almost comical: http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/nfl-players-rate-tim-tebow-above-mark-sanchez-042912
  16. With the new rules, every kicker is an instant touchback if he wants to be. I like Nix. I liked the draft this year. I don't find the need to defend every pick, nor do I find the need to try to convince others that I'm the smartest man in the room all of the time. Check yourself. You've been acting like an ass all day.
  17. With Moore and Kinne gone, I'm really thinking that the backup Q will be found during the offseason in free agency, and not through the UDFA process. And there's no UDFA that I really think is so sharp that I want him with the Bills. But an upgrade over Thigpen is important.
  18. If the kid beats out Lindell and wins a spot, fine. (I have grave doubts.) Otherwise, this was a waste. They could have taken Kinne to back up Fitz, or freaking someone who has a chance of making the roster. This looks like a personal favor or something. I don't expect too much out of compensatory picks in round 7, but I do hope for more than this. Then again, it was a very, very solid draft.
  19. I was pretty concerned when that happened, too. Probably because of The Iraq and such as.
  20. 3... 2... 1...
  21. Good pick. And if he doesn't work out in the NFL, he can run for Parliament.
