  1. After watching the team flounder for about 35 of the last 45 years, it is a mystery to me. The last week has the nation wondering also. Maybe a better question would be - Hall of Fame for What? Most bad coaches and GM's hired by an owner possibly. At least we Bills fans can look forward to Ralph taking a more hands on approach. Now I feel better.
  2. The Haslett bandwagon must be stopped. He would be a horrible head coach for the Bills. Sherman, the OC for Dallas, Mariucci, the DC for the Bears all are superior to Haslett. Forget Haslett, Gray, Cottrell, etc.
  3. Please accept my apology. Maybe your negativity was reality. I can't get anybody on the board to confess to the ridiculously optimistic predictions that were posted here in pre-season. I would bet the consensus was 10-6 and yet nobody will admit to it. Maybe Kelso's Helmet, since he is so well known around here, can get the board members to post their past predictions for 2005. I think it would be interesting to see who has the guts to admit their mistakes. Maybe something can be learned from examining past mistakes in judgment. The Bills were 8-8 in 2004, I said their defense was vastly overrated and they were starting a virtual rookie QB and their schedule was much more difficult in 2005, my prediction was they could be 6-10 easily. I was alone in my negative outlook. To the veteran board members like Kelso's Helmet, let someone begin a 2005 confessional and re-post those great pre-season picks.
  4. I would feel better if he was in the Hall of Fame for being a GM. Since he has never been a GM, I'm not as optimistic. Didn't you predict the Bills would be 11-5 this year?
  5. I think the scariest thing I've heard recently is that Wilson is going to take a more "hands on" approach to running the team. Yikes! An organization this screwed up is professional suicide for a head coach. I'm no fan of Mularkey, but he was smart enough to realize that the ship was sinking fast and if he wanted to salvage his professional coaching career he had better bail out now. There are a lot of teams looking for coaches now and it is his best chance to hook on somewhere else like Gregg Williams did with Washington and revive his reputation. Personal or family reasons is a crock of crap. He couldn't take the heat anymore and he saw no way to improve with a messed up organization questioning his every move. The Bills need to hire a head coach who: 1. Has a history of winning and knows what it feels like to be a winner 2. NFL coaching experience 3. Smart enough to hire creative and skilled assistants
  6. I agree with one exception Hell No,NO, NO,NO !!!!!!!!!!!1
  7. I guess getting fired by the sad sack Saints qualifies him to run the sad sack Bills. Don't expect different results from a proven loser. Haslett would be a big mistake!
  8. Absolutely the best choice - Mariucci. Haslett,Capers,Fassel, NFW !!! Haslett would be a disaster.
  9. He deserves this award. What the heck does it say about the Bills though? Yikes!
  10. Interesting to note that the Bills passed on Steve Hutchinson and traded down to take Nate Clements. Also interesting is they passed on LeCharles Bentley to take Josh Reed in the 2nd round the other year. I wonder how different the Bills would be now if they had focused on the OL during the TD era. I guess TD knew what he was doing.
  11. After watching the press conference, a couple things come to mind. First, Marv Levy is a class guy and I would say that even if he weren't a family friend of ours. Intelligent and well spoken with a great attitude. Marv is outstanding. Secondly, Ralph Wilson really has no clue what he is doing. I am sorry to say this again, but the Bills are lurching out of control under his "leadership". Hiring Marv was great from a PR point of view and maybe it will boost morale around the team, but it is no long term solution. Sadly, as a Bills fan since the beginning of the team, the immediate future is not too bright. Marv will be much more pleasant to listen to than Donahoe, but the Bills will be no closer to the Super Bowl under this new arrangement.
  12. Get real. The Bills are a train wreck at the moment. Wilson taking a more hands on approach is a disaster. Wilson has a brutal record if you care to look. You blurry eyed cheerleaders are the same ones who predicted the Bills would be no worse than 10-6 this year. How about everyone go back and look up your ridiculous predictions from pre-season and post them now? Go ahead. This is no friggin fresh start. This is patchwork crap just like the POS patchwork offensive line. The team needs to be rebuilt with fresh eyes from the outside who aren't stuck living in the past.
  13. Why? Because he developed Posey from being anonymous to invisible?
  14. What a horrible job of coaching in the 4th quarter! He made at least 4 or 5 critical errors that eventually cost his team the win. Vince Young was phenomenal and I hate Texas.
  15. Goodbye you arrogant loser. You got what you deserved, not so much for your football decisions (which were sorely lacking), but for your arrogant condescending attitude toward the fans and the community. Good riddance!
  16. I'd vote for Mariucci, but Ralph has a 45 year history of not wanting to pay an ex-coach for doing nothing. As such, I think he will stick with Mike "Mr. Personality" Mularkey. If MM is fired I would be shocked, but pleased.
  17. Dick Vermeil. One look at the Bills and he will really have something to cry about!
  18. Tom Donahoe is one step closer to being the former Bills GM.
  19. It is a disgrace to the throwback uniforms to let these guys wear them.
  20. Hopefully we draft an undersized, high motor defensive lineman who has no ability to sack the QB or stop the run.
  21. It kinda reminds me of the 85 Bears. The "legendary defense" talk swirling about after the Bills beat the Texans seems quite silly. Before the season started I warned anyone who would listen that the Bills defense was VASTLY overrated. I showed that they ranked 21st in defense in a more accurate ranking system vs. the "we're ranked #2" crap. I guess the Bills believed their own hype along with the fans. Nobody wanted to hear it. I got responses like "I trust Jerry Gray", "I trust Tom Donahoe", "I trust MM" etc. Predictions of 11-5 and 10-6 seasons were rampant here. Be honest. The consensus was 10-6 and a few sceptics were willing to conservatively confess to 9-7. The defense ranking charade was further exposed because I pointed out the Bills played much weaker offensive teams last year. I even commented that they played a "Who's Who of bad offenses" last year. Nobody wanted to hear it. Don't blame the messenger, but don't say you weren't warned. In short, this season is absolutely no surprise to me. Disappointing, yes; surprising , no! Sadly, as a Bills fan for 45 years, it gives me no pleasure to watch this team disintegrate.
  22. I agree Mularkey has shown he can't coach, but I was guessing that old Ralphie would keep him so that he doesn't have to pay another coach.
  23. The Constitution hasn't applied in the US for the last 4+ years.
