  1. Let me understand correctly - under or over 8 wins? How many seasons are we talking about? It will take at least two seasons to accumulate 8 total wins.
  2. Tirico is excellent. Big improvement there. Theisman is a trainwreck. Who likes this blowhard anyway? Kornheiser is good on PTI, but who knows how he will be in the booth. My guess is he will be a little too annoying. Maguire, I'm gonna tell you, will NOT be missed. He was awful. Madden still sucks. Michaels has slipped a little, although he is still good. Problem with Michaels is that he is so into the "storyline" of the game (i.e. Bruschi, Dungy, etc.) that he often ignores the game and he doesn't describe what is happening on the field with detail.
  3. Exactly right. This was a horrible officiating team. They definitely put their negative mark on the game. The NFL should be ashamed of their performance.
  4. I've never paid to see a coach or gone to a game because the ticket price was lower than league average; I go to games to be entertained and watch the team win. Just win baby! Who is going to win more: Bills or Redskins? My money says Redskins.
  5. How many would trade the Redskins situation for the Bills current situation? I am envious of the Redskins because they will win much more with their coaches than the Bills will win. Anybody care to bet on it?
  6. He didn't hire Jauron did he? Not good enough for the Colts, but perfect for the Bills.
  7. Excellent strategy. Maybe the Bills will draft the next Jim Kelly, Bruce Smith and Thurman Thomas this year also! I believe a coach must inspire his team and his players. In addition, he must give the fans hope of success. Do you feel inspired by Jauron? Personally, I don't. Not one bit. What makes you all think he is going to become a winner after years of proving he was mediocre as a head coach and as an assistant? Where is he going to find all these outstanding assistants who will magically transform the team? Sad to say, but to me this looks like another 2-3 years of re-building excuses followed by another search for a new head coach.
  8. Well at least we beat the Saints. Bring on the Cardinals ! Next stop Super Bowl !!!!
  9. Let's clear the air now 1-23-2006. It's all Jerry Sullivans' fault. Fast forward two years to the Bills press conference 1-22-2008 announcing the firing of Dick Jauron after going 10-22 and missing the playoffs each year. "The Buffalo Bills would like to announce that Dick Jauron, just like his predecessor Mike Mularkey, was run out of town by Jerry Suillivan. It seems that Jerry's columns hurt the feelings of Mike Mularkey and really hurt the feelings of Dick Jauron. As a result, the Bills feel that a change is necessary. The Bills regret that Jerry Sullivan has the right to express his opinions. It is unfortunate that the Bills continue to lose, but we take no responsibilty for running a half-assed organization. It is the writers and critics who are destroying the morale of the team which causes them to lose every year." OK , let's start the predictions for 2006. Everybody onboard for 10-6 or 11-5 like last year's predictions?
  10. You forgot to mention that the last two years as DC in Detroit the defense stunk also - I believe in the lowest third of the league. Just friggin wonderful !!! A octogenarian rookie GM, an owner out of touch with reality, and a new HC with a record of proven mediocrity. The sweet smell of success or a formula for disaster? Yikes!
  11. Ugh! Can you feel the excitement? I can hear cheers in NE, MIA, NYJ !!!!
  12. At least it wasn't Haslett!!! Boy, the bar has really been set low. Ralphie still shopping at Walmart, the rest of the league at Nordstrom's. I can't wait to see his assistants. Maybe high school coaches working part-time, no benefits or vacation. Apply at One Bills Drive. No hurry.
  13. So what are you saying? Given the choice you would rather have Ralph Wilson over Dan Snyder? What did Dan Snyder do that causes you to call him a twerp? His excellent business successes or his burning desire to win??? Do you think the Bills will outperform the Redskins over the next three years? I'll bet the Redskins are far more successful than Buffalo. It all starts at the top.
  14. If the owner of the Redskins was the owner of the Bills; would the Bills be floundering helplessly ? I don't think so. Snyder is like George Steinbrenner in some ways. He wants to win now and keep winning. The NFL salary cap makes the playing field level to an extent, but the coaching gap is growing because an owner like Snyder is not afraid to pay for coaching talent. Wilson seems to be most concerned about getting coaches who will work cheaply. As we have seen, good coaching can make a difference. Snyder has Williams as DC and Saunders as OC and Gibbs as head coach. All three have had success. I suspect that the Redskins progress toward success will be far greater in the next few years than the Bills. Sadly, the Bills are wasting time interviewing proven losers like Dom Capers. Ugh! Truthfully, I wish the Bills owner was a guy like Dan Snyder. Who agrees with me? If you hate Snyder why is he so bad?
  15. The current unis are terrible. Navy doesn't look good on TV.
  16. ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!!!! You snooze - you lose ! Every hour is critical and the Nero fiddled while Rome burned. C'mon Marv - let's go. WTF - why interview Capers? Yikes!
  17. I was thinking the same thing : Sherman HC , Jauron DC Sounds like a plan. Hey Ralphie - listen up...
  18. NY jets, NO Saints looking to the future, the Bills looking to the past? Hmmm...
  19. Nowadays many people just don't understand the seriousness of censorship and the infringement of our rights. Our freedom is at stake. Maybe the NSA is eavesdropping on this message board and the e-mails sent between members. A survey of 112,003 students finds that 36% believe newspapers should get "government approval" of stories before publishing. So much for the 1st amendment - the foundation of freedom. http://www.usatoday.com/news/education/200...nts-press_x.htm It is even more repulsive to find a sports writer being censored for something relatively trivial like football. The article in the Toronto Sun was almost dead on accurate about Buffalo and Ralph Wilson.
  20. The longer the Bills delay in hiring a new HC, the pool of quality assistants gets smaller and smaller. Jauron and Haslett are bad choices. The Bills need a HC would can attract top assistants and top free agents. Get moving Marv.
  21. The Bills seem to be asleep at the wheel. The Bills are scouring the league for someone in the Hank Bullough, Jim Ringo, or Harvey Johnson category. BTW, which Bills head coach has the best winning pct. after Marv Levy? Answer: Wade Phillips .604 (Levy .615) but Levy had Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas and Andre Reed. Phillips had Rob Johnson and Antoine Smith.
  22. Yes indeed. And apparently the people who vote for the Hall of Fame almost unanimously agree with me.
  23. I believe some type of mass dementia is sweeping Bills nation. Haslett would be a disaster for the Bills.
