Being a Red Sox fan and a Bills fans, I am only starting to realize the bandwagon types in NE. We get a NE sports highlights/talk show on our Rochester cable. I was tuning in last night to see some of my red sox highlights and it took 20 minutes to get past the Patriots to show any highlight of Red Sox. Football regular season hasn't even started and they have already wrote off the Sox as also rans. Even after my Sox are mathmatically eliminated, I'm still going to check out their games because I have an emotional investment in this team and players. It seems like the rest of beantown has all but deserted them.

What if the officer is not really an officer but someone who is looking to do harm? He is an athlete who most people would know as having $$$. I don't support anything Foley did in this incident, but a police officer has to know that when he is not in uniform driving an unmarked vehicle, that the situation could appear dangerous to the offender.

What he had to say at the time would be unimportant, but if he could shed some light on the situation I'd like to hear it. No I would not criticize an off duty officer. Said officer must realize that he is putting himself in harms way because he is not acting within normal police parameters. Calling this in would have been the prudent thing to do.

I hate when the media jumps on my teams bandwagon. It almost always spells letdown.

I didn't do a very good job of 'splainin. It's when people, usually media types, refer to someone as "their # 1 draft pick", rather than eliciting that the player was taken in the first round. In my mind, if you say someone's #1 pick you are referring to the first of the draft.

Is Joss Reed somehow related to Joss Stone?

Being someone who has come within a few feet of a very hairy situation with someone who presented themselves as a police officer, I'd like to hear Foley's side of it. Was their some inherent way SF could tell said dude was an officer? If some guy in street clothes starts brandishing a weapon in my direction, I might take action (not grab a gun) first, ask questions later.

After watching training camp and the preseason, I can't really see how their is a QB rift in the locker room. Then again we are relying on the intellect of football players.
