All this hype about the Chargers
Steven in MD replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills have not shut down a quality TE in years. My biggest fear is that LT runs effectively and keeps the Bills O off the field. -
Is Willis Mcgahee our RB of the future
Steven in MD replied to RVJ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You have two different points. One I agree with, the other I disagree with. WM is trying as hard as he can given the scheme and OL blocking. He will be a top 10 back in this league. So there I must disagree. I do believe when his contract is up, he will be gone. There is NO way the Bills will be able to afford his demands. No way he takes a home team discount. -

Jerry Gray's Addiction with the blitz cost us game
Steven in MD replied to Mr. T's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who taught Gray? Mr Gregg Williams! Mr Williams lives and dies by the blitz. Every play send 8 and hope you can stop them. Does not work well unless you have the personnel. -
Let's see.... 11/6 Bye We Tie that one 11/13 KC Winnable @ home W 11/20 SD We have a tough time stopping the run. LT could run all over us. L 11/27 Car Depends on Carolina's mood. They are inconsistent. W 12/4 Mia Should be 2-0 against the fish W 12/11 NE Tedy-mania should subsize. W 12/17 Den No shot! They are too good L 12/24 Cin Cincy should be fighting for the playoffs. We can keep it close. L 1/1 NYJ If we need a win for the playoffs, we lose. Since we will be out. W 8-8 final record...at best

Domination of the game...but a loss

What is a half time adjustment?

TD chose McGee, meaning he will not be resigning Clements.

Either Brady sucks or the Bills D is awesome.....

TD did indeed blow it by hiring GW, but he admitted it and fired his sorry ass. His next biggest mistake was hiring another rookie HC. Since coming to Buffalo, TD has been selling Kool-Aid to the fans, and the seats are getting filled. It should have been enough for TD to sell to Ralph that GW's replacement was going to have some experience, and therefore require some cash. Being a great assistant does not make you a great HC. The main thing a good HC needs is the ability to MANAGE. Look at your own jobs and ask yourself if the most technical or smartest person gets promoted? Most times promotion are given to good MANAGERS. Usually if you take a HC who has experience as the HC, you will be better off than hiring someone who has never done it before. There are exceptions, but very few HC are successful in their first gig as HC. Belichek, Levy, Phillips, Coughlin, Schottenheimer, Vermeil, etc have improved since their initial HC gigs. TD should have found an experience HC.

Stupid....He has the rings and has nothing to prove than stroke his ego. Until he pulled this stunt, you could call him an inspirational player. Now he is just an egotistical idiot who could end up being crippled the rest of his life.

UB Football...it's official
Steven in MD replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have a feeling the new coach will be a Michigan Assistant. The new AD is from U of MI. It is coaching and recruiting. Given the right coach this program will be back to 4 wins a season soon. -
I agree with you. But I think TD thought that we were not ready to win now, and decided to go with JPL this season with KH and SM as the backups. Unfortunately, JPL was not quite ready, and KH will be the QB for 05. We might still get to the playoffs, but it is not because we cut Bledsoe.
-
The analogy to be made is with the Minnesota Vikings. Do you think they are a better team TODAY without Moss? Nope. Was the right thing to do for the long haul. Same thing can be said about Bledsoe. The team is worse off TODAY, though long term it was the right thing to do. I believe most of the frustration, including mine is that the Bills continue to tweak the team such that every year is a rebuilding year.

Look around college today. Many of the big time programs have hugh 350lb DL and OL from Hawaii. Many of the Sumo guys came from Hawaii...

Here is the article from the Washington Post Site. In Grief, Yearning for Violence Remedy Officials, Parents Strategize as Md. Students Recall Stabbing Victim By Lori Aratani and Nancy Trejos Washington Post Staff Writers Tuesday, September 27, 2005; Page B01 Students at Blake, Rockville and Sherwood high schools in Montgomery County returned to their schools yesterday to find patrol cars, police officers and grief counselors. Friday's stabbing after a high school football game left one 15-year-old student dead, another in custody, and a school system and community struggling to understand how they arrived at this moment. "It's terrible," said Evan Levine, 18, a senior at James Hubert Blake High School, where Kanisha Neal, 15, was stabbed Friday night. "It shouldn't happen around here. It shouldn't happen anywhere." Joyce Neal, left, the mother of slain Rockville High School student Kanisha Neal, tries to console Kanisha's brother Orlando "O.J." Neal yesterday in Rockville. Neal said her daughter "was just learning how to take responsibility" -- including helping her ill father on the last day of her life. (Michael Williamson / The Washington Post) Slaying Suspect to Remain Detained The 15-year-old accused of fatally stabbing a girl the same age after a football game in Silver Spring on Friday is a stellar student with no criminal history, her father and defense attorney said yesterday. In August, a gang-related stabbing followed a summer school session at Springbrook High School in Silver Spring. Two weeks ago, Stephone Wiggins, 23, of Germantown was attacked off-campus after a football game at Seneca Valley High. And on Friday, Kanisha's stabbing, the first intentional killing of a student during a campus event in the school system's history, officials said. A circuit court judge in Rockville decided yesterday that the 15-year-old suspect, a junior at Sherwood High School, will remain detained until her next hearing, set for Oct. 12. Authorities are not naming the girl because she has been charged as a juvenile. Last night, school board members were subdued as they offered condolences to the families affected by Friday's killing. Superintendent Jerry D. Weast said he met with County Executive Douglas M. Duncan to talk about strategies for addressing the violence. He has also been in close contact with the chief of police, J. Thomas Manger. Board members also expressed a determination to find solutions. "We need to do some very radical things here in Montgomery County to get to the root cause of the violence we see,'' said board member Valerie Ervin (Silver Spring). "We have a lot of work to do." Dozens of parents attended a community forum at Sherwood High last night, and many had pointed questions for school administrators and law enforcement officials about security on school campuses. "The writing is on the wall. We've heard a lot about gangs . . . ,'' said Cedric Barry, the father of a 10th-grader at Sherwood. "My question is, what is the atmosphere within the administration if a student feels threatened -- that they can come to you? That they can talk to you and get a response?" Earlier in the day, students at Rockville High were more focused on remembering Kanisha. "She was a really nice, sweet girl," said Chloe Brown, 14, a freshman. "She was always kind. She never got into confrontations." But Chloe also said that other students sometimes made fun of her. "They would say things to her because she was a big girl, and they would make fun of her because of that," she said. Jacquelyn Richard, 15, and her sister Stephanie, 17, were in the parking lot with the rest of Blake's marching band Friday night when they saw a commotion. Stephanie, a senior, said she saw a car hit Kanisha. At first, she said, she thought someone had a gun because of the sound the car made. "When she got hit, it made a bunch of loud bangs," she said. "I was really scared."

I did look into reffing HS games. Unfortunately here in MD we have too many murders at the HS football games, it is too dangerous to be at the games. What I am saying is that it is TOUGH to see it all. But based on the calls missed, you know that the ref either did not see it, or was not looking where they were suppose to look.
-
Watch a College or Pro game. You will see calls missed and incorrect calls made. It is human nature.
-
They should use him like the Bears used the Fridge...as a FB. Let Sam open up the hole for Willis.
-
Fez, you are correct...they should not watch the play, but that is what they do. Most refs do not do their job correctly.
-
College refs suck too.....bottom line is that they can only watch the play, and therefore miss alot of the stuff that goes on away from the play. This means holds and facemasks. I was at the Tenn-Georgia game on Sat, and those refs blew calls that were right in front of them. Refs are human, and they miss calls. Unfortunately, if your team gets a bad crew, one that calls penalties on tactics you use, you are screwed. If you teach your OL to hold, and the refs are concentrating on looknig for holding, it will be a long day,

So it is the Oline that caused Bledsoe to look bad, but TD was correct for cutting the cancer? Parcells gets the most from his players? We are better off with JP or KH than with DB at QB? I am lost here. Bottom line... With a good OL, DB looks like a Pro Bowl QB. TD should have built a better OL. With a good coach, DB looks like a Pro Bowl QB. TD should have chosen a better coach for the TALENT he brought in. Bottom line, DB was not the problem, the OL and coaching was and is the problem. An please do not tell me that DB plays better at the beginning of the season, we were 0-4 last year.

How can you blame Moulds for wanting to win. When he resgined TD might have told him they would be competitive in 2-3 yrs. Who knows what other teams would have paid him. I think he feels like he was sold a lie.
