  1. Now there is an optimist.... Actually I want to see the defense stop the potent Lions run game. Read that as sarcasm. If the Lions running game looks good, then we are in for a long season of stopping Martin, Dillon and Morris (sammy that is). Just hope we can sustain some run support on D.
  2. Jack is this a change from the original Sirius schedule? Orginally they did not have the Bills game on. Thanks for the update.
  3. Credit rating scores in general are based on your past payment behavoirs. Each behavoir is weighted differently. For example, you might get 30 points for always paying your mortgage/rent on time (no deliquent payments over 30 days). But you might lose 5 points for carrying a balance over $1000 on your Visa card. They key is that the score changes over time as your credit behavoir changes over time. Not sure I shed any light on the subject, I do not know what a score of 180 means versus 150. I thought the scores were normalized to 100, but that might have changed since I did some credit scoring work about 5 yrs ago.
  4. Maybe Evans was schooling Vincent on how to cover a receiver without holding them past 5 yds.
  5. He gets to buy the groceries.... The key to being a good coach is having a system, then getting players that can excel in your system. Do not just plug holes, but plug holes with players who can perform in the system. I think Gw had the system, but not the players. Now I think MM has the players, needs to figure out the system.
  6. What scares me is that we continually draft DEs, and are not looking to lock any of them up to long term deals. Denney, Kelsay and Schobel are all 1st or 2nd round picks. You cannot keep letting your top picks walk after 3-4 yrs. With Jennings and Williams, if we cannot sign them this off season, at least they were not high draft picks...just a thought.
  7. Nope you can sign any player off another teams practice squad. It must go to your 53 man roster, and you cannot cut the player. That is the player must remain on your 53 player roster (not sure if you can IR them in case of injury). The team whom has the player on their PS can sign them their 53 man roster to prevent losing a player.
  8. Just to clarify, I never had a plan to sign all 3. Actually, think that Schobel is the only one worth signing at this point.
  9. Like I said...just look at TD's record in Pittsburgh! He will not resign his young talent.
  10. I rather make a trade with KC and get Todd Collins back!
  11. SCHOEBEL...I would never want Taylor or any other tainted Phish on the Bills!
  12. The reason to sign now is to get the money NOW! Actually resigning Shoebel could lower his cap number for this year (though I doubt it would). The other reason is injury. Should any of the potential FA get injuried, their market value drops. I think TD likes to underpay for talent. Just look at his history in Pitt, he let MANY good young players go because he refused to pay them. In his defense, the owner was a cheap bastard in Pitt, something he does not have to deal with here in Buffalo.
  13. Only good can come from MNF being sacked.... Madden would be gone...which is HUGH...
  14. I was waiting for the bring back Billy Jo Holbert....he does not need to know the play book...or should he?
  15. That is the key...premier tackles have played guard early in their careers. I just hope the Bills realize this and make the right move to put the best 5 guys on the OL.
  16. Let's assume that prior to the JP injury, the Bills were going to make him the 3rd QB each week. If so, he would have counted against the 53 man roster and basically inactive each week. If this is the case, I would keep him active until he heals, so he can practice with the team this season. If he was destined to be the #2 guy, then we need to IR him, and get a backup QB since Wyche and Co do not think Travis is a suitable #2. Just a thought.
  17. The Bills can NOT put Losman on IR and just let him be inactive till he is ready to play, but he would take up one of the 53 roster spots.
  18. Living here since 98, and being a native NYer, they say I have an accent!
  19. It gets you back the roster spot, and the players salary (not signing bonus amortization) also does not count against your salary cap. If you do not believe the player will contribute during the season (ACL injury) you can still have the player participate in off field activities (film review, etc) just no on field practice for the season.
  20. The big issue is the roster spot. If we do not put Losman on IR, we use a roster spot for a player who might not practice with the team. Forget if Losman was #2 or #3, the idea is he would have PRACTICED the entire season to learn the offense. Now we will use 1 of the 53 roster spots on him so he is eligible to still practice with the team when and if he comes back. But, we cannot keep him on the 53 roster AND get another QB. Unless we PS a QB.
