Yikes. On paper we look pretty thin. What a difference a year makes. Last year it looked like the LB's were a little weak as a group, but the D line and DB's looked to have a solid mix of talent and depth. Right now it looks like there's quite a few holes to fill. As we saw last year, what you have on paper doesn't necessarily mean a lot and maybe the very different scheme will lead to very different results. It will be an interesting FA period and draft. At the surface looks like there are a lot of holes to fill throughout the entire roster.

As someone said above, nobody is "blaming kelsay" for inking the deal. Myself and many others just hate what it represented. Kelsay was average at best. If you think he was an above average player, you should tune into some other games during the season. It's been so long since we have had a good team, we've forgotten what it looks like. Thank you. Does anyone in their right mind think a team like the pats, steelers, ravens would have given a contract to kelsay worth even half as much as his last one?

This is why the Bills have sucked. Rewarding mediocrity for simply showing up and being the good soldier. If a guy is making 6 mil per he better damn well make an impact routinely or hit the road, whether he's a living saint or not. The Bills don't have the luxury of keeping "feel good" guys around, let alone give them multiple contracts that are probably double what they would get anywhere else.

Kelsay was obviously a good guy, leader, an teammate. However he was simply a mediocre football player. The negative attitude towards him would probably be non existant if he was paid like a backup / situational player. When you get paid top dollar like an impact player I expect an impact not simply showing up and giving it your all. I understand its not Kelsays fault that they threw a bunch of $ at him or asked him to do things that were not consistent with his skill set. I wish him and his family the best. However, I promise you my TV and the people that sit in front of us at the Ralph are glad that they won't have to hear me curse him anymore after one of his famous "missed containment cutback" or "close to QB but QB simply steps up" plays after he he got into the backfield (which the guy could actually do).

Who cares? The dunk contest jumped the shark a long time ago.

My group is doing New Orleans as long as it doesn't fall right before Xmas. If for some reason that doesn't work out, probably back to Miami for 3rd go around (0-2 so far and got kicked out last time!). Also looking to do Jax for the 2nd time. Have to go down there for work at some point hoping I can parlay it into golf & Bills game.

Was gonna make a really elaborate post encompassing everyone else's pet peeves up to this point but I'm just too lazy so you all suck. Oh and my pet peeve is laziness.

This team sucks. They may be in worse shape than the Bills as far as roster and coaching although ill concede that Miller can be outstanding at times and is much better than what the Bills have at QB. We have 1 legit scorer and a bunch of 3rd and 4th liners. The "core" of this team is garbage. Why guys like Hecht and Stafford still see ice time is mind boggling. I'd keep hodgson, vanek, ott, ennis, Greigs. Foligno is a toss up. The rest of the forwards can take a hike pommers included. Absolute joke of a captain. Defensively I don't know where to even start as it seems like each night someone different stands out as awful. How far has Myers fallen in 2 years? Overall very depressing, I think the Sabres are a long ways or ungodly amounts of luck away from cup contention.

Didn't say I knew all about college football but you insinuated that this guy can't be that great since Boise St. and Louisville had better programs. I'd venture to guess that his previous NFL experience and his work in changing the complete loosing culture at Syracuse had people start taking notice. Sounds like he was very meticulous, and demanded the best out of his players. Lots transferred when he first came to Syracuse. Why did other NFL teams interview and show interest in him now? Answer the question.

This. 'Cuse was a power in the 90's? Gimme a f'n break, so were the Bills. That's 15-20 years ago! Anyone who thinks he should have been winning double digit games at Syracuse the last couple years really knows nothing about college football. College football has changed immensely and is continuing to do so. The Big East is garbage and except for maybe Louisville, no other team will ever really be relavent in the national title picture ever again. Super conferences with the SEC and best of the Big 10, PAC 12, and Big 12 will eventually come around and every other program will battle it out for bottom feeder bowls and maybe a spot or two in a playoff system if lucky. Not saying this guy is the answer but I'm sure as hell not dumb enough to totally write him off for not bringing 'Cuse a national title.
