  1. Me too. The game is won and lost in the trenches and our DTs havent exactly been stout (outside of Ed turning it on). And a good DL will make the DBs that much better by forcing the ball out under duress. Best to build from the inside-out. Good work, Beane.
  2. Let's be real here. It's #2CB, #3WR, #3LB, #2TE, and #2QB. Could even argue #2 or #3 DE. No major holes, and we even have guys who could fill some of those roles on the roster already. We're just lacking in depth.
  3. I dont like being pigeon-holed into having to pick for a specific position in Round 1, and I dont think Beane does either. Although maybe they think/know/realize that the best value at #25 will likely be a CB anyways.
  4. How spoiled Bills fans got in only like 3-4 years. From shedding tears of joy for ending the playoff drought, to demanding a Super Bowl victory. Classic.
  5. All of the above. Yes, they are in a small position of marginal celebrity, and then also are in a business where espousing (and arguing) their opinions is like 90% of the job. And it is their show, so you better not try to show them up. So the ego gets pumped. But at that same time, they are definitely dealing with idiots all day. Have you heard WGR callers? It's a meme now for a reason. And that's just in Buffalo. Colin Cowherd, for his many faults, has a great take on "sports radio callers". He calls them "The Wrong Guy". Meaning, this is a guy who has made so many wrong decisions in his life, he has nothing better to do than wait on hold all day just to express some halfassed opinion on a sports radio talk show. And that opinion is probably wrong too. LOL.
  6. I'd think it was a stretch and unlikely, expect he IS a Panther...
  7. There has to be something about Breida that is seen in practices or in the facility and turning coaches off that fans arent privy to. Because it wasnt just the Bills who refused to utilize him and his skill set. The same thing happened to him in SF and Miami. There is a pattern there. Useful, needed skillset, but 3 teams in a row refuse to play him.
  8. I get why folks are excited, and he seems to be an upgrade over Breida. But how much of those big receiving numbers comes from WFT sucking, and them checking it down a lot?
  9. Correct, just looked it up, it was Gibson. Good call.
  10. Is this the guy that took the screen pass to the house against us? edit: NO, that was Gibson.
  11. It's not just Sal, and not just Buffalo. All these radio personalities in every market get way too full of themselves and are way over-sensitive. I'd argue Sal is on the lower scale of that compared to the egos you find in larger markets.
  12. Settle is getting a LOT of love from WFT fans. Even more than we are showing Harry. Lot of good comments here:
  13. I havent reviewed any of his tape (nor will I), but from what I saw when he was on the field left an impression that he was more of a liability out there than anything else. No thanks. Time to move on from yet another failed ex-Panther DL.
  14. Good for Harry. That sucks for us. Especially considering its way less than what we've been paying for garbage like Butler.
  15. I've always liked Sal. Now more than ever. Get em!
  16. I think they learned their lesson in the "Great TE Splash of 2021"
  17. Their first signing of the day was All Pro OG Brandon Scherff, and they have the #1 overall pick with OT Neal sitting there.
  18. Mario was dominant for 3 years until Rex started dropping him into coverage. Worth every penny of the contract originally.
  19. It really is. Not only is the board split, but I think a number of us fight our own internal battles trying to get a real bead on his play. I'll admit the Cover1 videos do a lot to help his image. A number of things I've bashed him for look a little less severe when put into the proper context of his true responsibilities and the amount this scheme asks of him to cover. But every series of every game I say "Cmon Tremaine, we just need 1 play", and it literally never comes. So even if he is making the calls, and responsible for multiple gaps, and is clogging up passing lanes... I'm not seeing anything actually come of it. No big plays from him, nor really anyone directly around him. Tough one.
  20. As someone who has been very critical of Edmunds, yes, I would extend him at $10M/yr. $50M with probably half of it guaranteed, is far better than only $12.7M. I wouldnt say it's impossible. The only thing here is that I wouldnt want Edmunds on a 5 year deal, more like 3. But in general, the money is right.
