We've used it a couple times this year (like literally twice tops, but it does exist). Guys like Saffold and Brown, even Bates, can all execute it. Maybe not a classic power running game, but a decent one nonetheless. The only thing I'm unsure of is if Dorsey knows where to even find that section of the playbook.

Surprisingly not as bad as I was thinking. Not a ton of key people, or like, half the team. The entire OL can walk at this point. This is where Beane has to hit it hard. As hard as it is for me to believe I'm about to say this, hear it goes... You have to pay Tremaine. Agreed on bringing back the back up and ST guys (Keenum, Klein, Martin, Matakevich). The Bills are always better with Shaw and Jordan around.

No Joe Bus, Burrow did not surpass Allen based on yesterday
DrDawkinstein replied to appoo's topic in The Stadium Wall
Oh, for sure it's part of who he is naturally. But that's why it's up to the OC to get that under control, and build gameplans and call plays that keep it in check. Which Daboll figured out, but Dorsey hasnt. -

Allen is looking like a boom or bust QB... because we have an OC who refuses to give this offense an identity, or setup our guys to succeed, or know how to calm Josh down. I dont consider myself to be any type of Xs and Os expert, but I know I have a better gameplan for yesterday than Dorsey. And that is not good. Perfect. The Bengals had to lose a couple SBs back to back before the Bills started their run last time too. -
Cincy had footing problems too. We just didnt take advantage of it by adjusting to a power running game and instead stayed in our finesse passing game because apparently that is what wins January playoff games in Buffalo.

And they werent good. And we've been dealing with "Sugar Josh vs Angry Josh" for years. Still love Allen, would commit crimes for him. But Burrow is far more consistent week in and week out. Never have to wonder which Joe is showing up. Still love you, Josh! -
Saffold said guys were "exhausted" this week and "out of gas"

I dont think it will be used to hide the weaknesses in the roster. But you are probably right the coaching staff will (unfortunately) get a "pass" on this season, or even lauded for putting together a 13-3 season after so many injuries and issues. -

Protection? Not familiar with Cincy's OL, eh? -

He's not completely wrong. Any fan can make arguments for Mahomes, Burrow, Allen being 1-2-3 in any order. Burrow stays cool and gets the job done, Allen is all over the place. Chase missed a handful of games too (at least 4 I believe). -

He had no gas EXCEPT for that play, and it was noticeable that he was trying hard to manufacture some fire, like a hockey team sending out it's 4th line to start a fight. -

While I am sympathetic to everything the Bills went through this season, I can not excuse the putrid, weak, horrible, Offensive gameplan. Dorsey did NOT put his guys in a position to succeed, and instead, set them up to fail. Even if they werent exhausted. -

But they are paid lots of money so that should automatically make them not have feelings anymore. Or hobbies. Or any outside interests for that matter. -

Cool, how many people did you have to hug and support after the shootings? How many interviews did you do about the community and what it means for you to be there? How many of your coworkers got injured every week and left you to pick up their slack? How many died in front of you? It's not just one or two of the items I listed. It's ALL OF THEM piled up over the last 8 months. To win a championship takes a lot of fortitude and a lot of luck (on top of a lot of talent and good game planning). We had bad luck, and it chipped away at our fortitude. I'm not excusing it, just explaining. But I get it. It's the Day After. Everyone is in their dark places. Vent away. -

I had a SUITE for the game in Atlanta, and was still hoping the Jags would win and we would host in Buffalo. -

I have ALL my groups blocked right now, lol. Cant deal with every single person going to the Dark Places right after a 13-3 season ends. DM me! -

Not physical exhaustion. Or rather, not just physical exhaustion. The mental and emotional exhaustion that comes from playing through deaths, playing through injuries, having schedules and routines thrown for a loop, and then seeing one of your guys die on the field. We were toast before the Cincy MNF game, and certainly toast after. We lucked out that the games after Cincy were a couple of cupcake divisional teams we were already familiar with, but we barely got through those even. "Fan Mojo" has literally 0 to do with it. We have no effect on that game. Everything else you listed certainly does, and didnt help. The team was done with this weird, tough season. -

The team opened OTAs to the Buffalo Mass Shooting, and wrapped training camp to Knox's brother dying. Then rolled through a season plagued with devastating injuries to our starters and leaders EVERY. WEEK. Then the weekly routines and games get messed up with weather. Then a player dies on the field... It was all too much. Frankly, we were setup for an early exit all the way back in Week 2 when Hyde went out for the season. Amazing the guys managed to keep it together to a 13-3 record and #1 seed for most of the season, and ending with an 8-0 run and #2 seed. Emotions are raw right now. Everyone go home, heal up, rest up, and get ready to make a run next year. Beane has his work cut out for him tho... -
Was bringing Hamlin into locker room just a bad call...
DrDawkinstein replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Enough was enough. He is and will be fine. We (the team) didnt even harp on Kevin Everett this much and that guy was going to be affected for the rest of his life. The thing is, we got caught up in how much the NFL PR machine had to swing the pendulum back. From "a player died" to "rah, rah, we all love each other, this player is a HERO". The Shield could not have that dirt on its image. Frankly, its why we saw the "unity" (lol) across the league. Oh, every team changed their profile pic to a #3! Yeah, because a player dying is really bad for business so it's in the best interest of every franchise for him to pull through. It reached Pancho Billa levels of BS. Anyways, on to 2023... -
How's that "humble, no swagger" idea looking now? Bills just got bullied up and down the field in their own house, in the snow. Another flat, listless game. I can't really blame them for how this entire year went. Completely out of gas, physically and emotionally, at this point. But the Bullies won yesterday. Handily.

I'll start a thread anytime the Bills get another neutral site playoff game in Atlanta, and yall can continue to cry about it like a bunch of babies. Would have been a helluva party. Go Bills! -

My canceled tickets from Wednesday were refunded in 24 hours. Might take 48-72 this time. Either way, usually pretty quickly. -

No one has any idea at this point what the ticket market will do. Whether a ton of people will want to come and prices go up, or a lot of folks who got tickets see how expensive flights from Buffalo have gotten and put theirs up for sale. It's *usually* safe to wait. This is a unique situation tho.
