I dont care if Bernard is 5'10" if he is showing instincts and putting himself in position to make plays instead of always being 2 steps behind. Size and speed are nice. But making plays is what really matters.

OT: Belichick says that Mac's improvement is "dramatic"
DrDawkinstein replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd say that Belichick going out of his way to heap that amount of praise onto McCorkle means that he actually STINKS. -
Would you be okay if Allen sat the entire preseason?
DrDawkinstein replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
I voted Yes, because if that is what the Bills decide then I'm fine with. McD, Dorsey, and Beane see him everyday in practice. If they thought there was no need for him to get reps at the risk of injury, then I trust that decision and wouldnt complain or lose any sleep. Fine by me. The only score that matters in the preseason is the number of players that end up on the injury report. -
NFL+ Streaming Service Launches today

Oh, you were talking about the CBS app? I was talking about picking up CBS on the antenna. It's the worst reception of all the channels we get. -

Funny you say that. I've had the same issues picking up the local CBS affiliats over the air in both Buffalo and Atlanta. I thought it was just a coincidence, but now I think it is something they aren't doing correctly. Interesting. -

That's why I specified no live streams of out-of-market games. Which is the most important part for us out of towners. -
NFL+ Streaming Service Launches today

Considering how cheap a digital antenna is, I'm not seeing any value in the inclusion of local market games. Those are the easiest to get. And I can get them right on the CBS and FOX apps too. -
https://nflcommunications.com/Pages/National-Football-League-Launches-NFL+.aspx Provided below is a breakdown of the NFL+ and NFL+ Premium products: NFL+ Live local and primetime games on mobile and tablet devices Live out-of-market preseason games across all devices Live game audio (home, away and national calls) for every game of the season NFL library programming on-demand (ad-free) $4.99/month or $39.99/year NFL+ Premium (includes features of product formerly known as NFL Game Pass) All features of NFL+ Full game replays across devices (ad-free) Condensed game replays across devices (ad-free) Coaches Film including All-22 (ad-free) $9.99/month or $79.99/year So still no live-stream of out-of--market games. $40/year gets you live radio, $80/year gets you replays. Looks like I'll still watch at the bar or find a stream online.

Too similar to this for my tastes...

Except Murray will never get to the Super Bowl, never win an MVP, and at least SOME of Cam's teammates liked him.

Kinda, yeah. Couple of things. You are looking at Namath's career totals. Dude played for a long time. So a couple of years on bad teams could go a long way to skew those numbers. Secondly, yeah, it wasnt much of a passing league, and QB passing numbers "sucked" all around compared to what we are used to. Go back and look at the passing stats for the QBs on the top NFL/AFL teams in 1969. Joe Kapp who lead the NFL leading 12-2 Vikings had 19 TDs, 13 INTS Daryle Lamonica of the Raiders had 34 TDs, and 25 INTs Morton/Staubach of the Cowboys had 22 TDs and 17 INTs. Not quite MORE ints than TDs, but the numbers are pretty close. Close enough that a couple of bad years could give you more INTs than TDs. And those were the league's top passers from the very best teams.

I'll even throw the Colts in there with their basic classics. I still think we're top-3 tho. -

DrDawkinstein replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, it's looking like our Alt Helmet/Uniform will be the 90s throwbacks. I'm hoping they don't do it this year. Wait until we win the Super Bowl, then at the next home opener when they raise the banner and give out rings, have Josh and the Boys trot out in the 90s throwbacks. Buffalo would implode. -

Still dont have Josh tho.

I like it. Better than that metallic-flake silver they use.

Rousseau and Basham at the Von Miller Pass Rush Academy
DrDawkinstein replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm counting on Knox giving the Bills a home team/Josh "friendly" deal just like Tre, Dawkins, and Milano did. And if he doesnt, then the franchise tag price for a Tight End is very reasonable and would be a perfect candidate to use it on while we figure out Oliver and Davis. -
Luckily, White, Milano, and Dawkins have all signed team-friendly deals. I'm hoping for the same from Knox, and possibly Oliver. I dont know if we'll be able to convince Gabe Davis given the WR market. The NFL is about to sign a $3 BILLION streaming deal with Apple. Because of the players. Pay the players. If the league is making it, the players deserve it. Regardless how much it is. Unless you are telling the owners and NFL to take a paycut too.

This is another case just like Tunsil/OBrien in Houston. Traded big picks for a player without a new deal. Player has you by the short and curlies. Tunsil represented HIMSELF and still got 2/$66M. I dont think $25M is outrageous in this case. KC is dumb if they didnt expect this.
