  1. Love- Forever Changes Have to wonder if anyone else here has even heard of Love
  2. I heard about this. I can't remember the kid's father first name, but his last name was Bertuzzi.
  3. Wow, thanks for the link, that site is great. Even has the AFL years, when Buffalo actually won a league championship.
  4. They've got more. It's called bad weather.
  5. Both the Hollies and the The Byrds continued on successfully, IMO, after the two departures you mention. And when Clapton left the Yardbirds, it may have changed the band for the better. But there was only one Keith Moon but then the Who did continue on. And for those who mention the Doors, JM was a great front man, but the musicians in the band were very, very good. I know Jim wrote the words but I don't know how much input he had on the music.
  6. All these posts and not one mention of your listing of Peter Green. One of the better guitarists of the late 60-early 70 period. Too bad he was haunted by his own demons. But you want to listen to one great album, try "Then played On." It would probably make my list of all time top 10. BTW, I didn't think you were that old. Also I doubt anyone could name a band which had so much success as such different entities.
  7. Is your family from Niagara Falls??
  8. Yea that's him, so have you heard it?
  9. Wow another Yardbirds fan. They are few and far between. I thought for sure someone would say Aerosmith's remake of "Train Kept Arolllin," which I personally didn't think was anyway near what the Yardbirds did. I believe the BBC is a compilation, isn't it? There are a few cuts from my favorite Yardbirds album "Rave Up", of which Smokestack LIghtning is one. BTW, if you haven't heard it, get a listen to Birdland. Basically it is a remake of their some of the old Yardbird stuff with guest guitarists. There are also a couple of new songs which are very good. Makes you really wish they were originally recorded with a little bit of fidelity. The other odd thing about the album is some guy from Queen is the steady lead singer, lead guitarist ( I forgot his name) and he does one amazing job in reproducing the Keith Relf sound. You really have to hear it.
  10. I really like things that take a different perspective. You know the Seinfeld episode that ran backward. Absolutely great, not only in content but in concept. I'm putting your post in that same group. Absolutely great post.
  11. And what some believe is, they may still draw some big name players but the ones that wanted money could go elsewhere. So it would be a lot harder for the Yanks to make the post season. One thing overlooked is that a kid that may have grown up watching the Braves on cable and is a fan of the Braves, would mostly likely opt for the Braves when given even money.
  12. The bottom 3 games are all Drew. You are correct that the 48 attempts,253 yards are Drew's stats for his Superbowl appearance. You are also correct that aLL of the other lines are winning Superbowl QB stats. Looking at those stats, any QB can win a SB. Elway's first SB is line 4. 12 for 22 with 123 yards, 1 Int. Interensting considering how many posts I've read over the last two days that place Elway in the "Drew should be like him" catagory. I was really amazed at how many times "average" to "below average" stats worked out to be the winning combination. Obviously, winning a SB takes a TEAM effort. I didn't look at all the SB's, but the one thing I would say about the winning QB in the above stats, they didn't give up a lot of interceptions. Line 2 in Theisman's 83 performance where he gave up 2. Interesting that you use the word "only 253 yards" in that is the highest total on the list. I would also bet 80% of the winning QB's have less than that. If I get time later, I will put in the QB for each of the stats. BTW, thanks to you three guys for responding.
  13. Bledsoe and is there anything unusual about the ones that don't belong to him? Att. Comp. Yds. TD Int. 14 09 96 1 0 23 15 143 2 2 27 19 207 0 1 22 12 123 0 1 Att. Comp. Yds. TD Int. 07 06 73 0 0 25 12 153 1 0 27 16 145 1 0 34 18 215 2 1 Att. Comp. Yds. TD Int. 22 14 157 1 0 48 25 253 2 4 27 12 100 1 1 24 15 185 3 1
  14. Are you trying to prove his point. He said no QB could carry a team all the way, you responded, "Almost." Guess jzmack was correct.
  15. I've been looking over stats from Bledsoe and some other QBs. They are listed below. Are any of these performances worth anything??? Att. Comp. Yds. TD Int. 14 09 96 1 0 23 15 143 2 2 27 19 207 0 1 22 12 123 0 1 Att. Comp. Yds. TD Int. 07 06 73 0 0 25 12 153 1 0 27 16 145 1 0 34 18 215 2 1 Att. Comp. Yds. TD Int. 22 14 157 1 0 48 25 253 2 4 27 12 100 1 1 24 15 185 3 1 Guess the final output doesnt end up anything like the composed output.
  16. Taking the Bledsoe part out, I will whine about the line. I say McGahee gained 1000 in spite of the line. Given a line that makes holes, and he's good for 2000+ yards. Last I knew, pass blocking and run blocking were different skills. I thought the line passed blocked much better than they run blocked the last 5 games.
  17. I thought Reed would have worked out. The book on him out of college was "Great Hands." Now he has none. Even in his first year he could catch the ball. I have to wonder what happened!
  18. Before you use it, make sure you don't think about it.
  19. Sorry if this doesn't directly answer the question, but waiting to upgrade to change your browser to Mozilla doesn't make much sense. I have both on my comp but I almost always use Firefox. And when you load Firefox you will have to load the Java support. There are some sites that Firefox will not work on, but for me they have only been retail sites.
  20. Muscle memory or it's all in the head. Take any repetitive action sporting movement and it all comes down to doing things repetitively. Ever seen any sports star apply their trade blind folded. The King and his Court being the main figure which comes to mind. Once you start the action, there is no thought involved, just muscle memory. Conversely, drop your confidence or start thinking when your performing and your surely in for some rough times. Next time your out golfing with some buddies, ask them if they inhale or exhale when they swing. That could very well be enough distraction to throw their game off. Again, they shouldn't be thinking when they swing, its repetitive action again.
  21. You are correct I meant to say they were winning "at the moment."
  22. I had mercifully forgotten that, my only memory of Bills-Fins from the 70's being the direct handoff to Manny Fernadez when the Bills were leading. However, as soon as you said Nottingham 60 yards, the vision of that fireplug waddling down the field came vividly back. I really hate the Fins, I do. Whatever agony this year caused, it pales in comparison to the 70's. I doubt if most here could withstand anything like it.
  23. The only thing I know for sure on this subject is - No one at TBD will be making the decision. The QB chosen by the OBD staff is the one I will back.
  24. the game is on ESPN2.
  25. That is what is happening right now.
