  1. I actually like the realism of this, maybe not the player and position but Dunlap on an 0-5 team and a decent salary can realistically be had for a 4 or 5. For some one reason I keep coming back to Punter, especially with the way we play with defense and field position. Maybe Brett Kern from Tennessee since he’s a Buffalo guy for a 5th.
  2. I think a lot can be attributed to a lot of young college system quarterbacks coming into the NFL and all of a sudden getting multiple disguises, blitzes, and speed of the game that they haven't seen before. The windows are also much smaller in the NFL and it took awhile but defenses have adjusted to having hybrid LB/Safety types that can play both the run and the pass. I also believe that these young Quarterbacks are naturally inpatient(See Josh Allen) and are unwilling to constantly take the short pass that is open while they try to push the ball into coverage down the field and defensive coordinators play more 8 man coverage.
  3. Mahomes will be the highest paid QB in NFL history probably at the end of this season. They will want to also keep some of their core WR group together as well which will cost huge money. There is only so much big money to go around when your talking about Mahomes making 40+, Kelce/Watkins/Hill/Hardeman whomever you want to choose making at least 15 million a year a piece. Like I said its just a hunch, I didn't prophecy it lol just watching the game it reminds me of the 90s dolphins. Explosive offense, abysmal running game, a defense that is actually worse than the 90's dolphins teams.
  4. I had a weird thought watching the Texans-Chiefs game. I think its very possible that Patrick Mahomes has a career trajectory much like Dan Marino. He will break all kinds of records, go down as one of the NFL's best of all time but a lack of running game and defense will continue to haunt him much like it did Marino. Make it deep in the playoffs every year only to be beaten by a more complete football team.
  5. Unlike the Bills, who arguably have less talent than the Browns, Cleveland plays like a bunch of individuals doing their own thing rather than a cohesive unit
  6. The problem is the way Phillips is playing he’s gonna want that big contract. I don’t see the Bills giving it to him especially with Harrison Phillips coming back, Ed Oliver, and even the emergence of Kyle Peko who has been playing very well. Lawson is kind of in the same boat. Murphy, Hughes and Johnson are in the rotation and I expect them to give Mike Love as well as Free Agents or draft picks to fill in the rest. The good old news is this is how good teams operate like the Patriots have for years. Get the most out of decent players, some other team gives them a big contract, said team gets comp picks, decent player doesn’t live up to their contract. I think its more likely you see extensions for key players like Poyer, Tre White etc
  7. Natural Selection, just let it play out. I never understood paying a huge amount of money for a ticket or tickets, buying multiple 30 racks and food in pregame, buying 4 or 5 more in the stadium at 15 bucks a pop , and not remembering a damn thing, while spending hundreds of dollars, about the game cause your passed out or puking the whole time.
  8. I played 4 years of HS all conference 2 years in Livingston County, played 2 years of college ball at the University of Saint Mary, an NAIA school in Leavenworth, KS. Coached HS ball in NY for 9 years, was a football recruiting asst at a D1 school for 2 years, and a football recruiting coordinator for a couple of D3 schools in Pennsylvania
  9. I actually was just thinking this last night after the game. I really like Josh Allen and his competitiveness I really do. I think he’s a stand up guy for Buffalo has all the physical tools and I’m far from saying give up on him. But when do you have to start thinking man maybe its just not gonna happen despite these qualities. He went 10 TDs 12 picks last year and this year so far he’s 3 TDs and 6 picks. I know there are some excuses in there, like terrible 2018 offense around him and a lot of the interceptions are correctable, but what troubles me is he keeps making the same mistakes despite being coached to limit mistakes. Still chucking the ball up out of desperation despite getting picked numerous time is one example. The first interception to McCourty played vividly in my mind. It was the same Corner Post route he threw to Robert Foster the week before that the safety dropped. It was the same exact play.
  10. I’ve heard the point that they haven’t played anybody either the whole week. 2 things are that the Patriots have destroyed their inferior competition while the Bills have squeaked by. The 2nd point is the Patriots have 6 SBs and we have been subpar for 20 years plus. It’s not hard to realize why we’re not getting the same respect level. Even if we beat the Patriots in a close game on Sunday the narrative will still probably be more the Patriots blew it than the Bills won it
  11. Yup I’ll be happy as hell and hope they don’t have a hangover against Tennessee
  12. The outrage is mitigated by the other free agent signing who are a hit right now so far. Also having Dawson Knox, Lee Smith, and Sweeney being road graders in the run game make people forget about Kroft real quick. Lastly, even though he signed a 3 year 18 million dollar deal, all the guaranteed money is basically in the 1st year so he can be cut after this year(seeming more likely) with a very small dead cap
  13. Just found out I will be probably getting off work that Sunday and I’m looking for 1-2 tickets for the game on the 29th. You can shoot me a DM if you have anything available. Preferably looking for lower bowl and trying to keep the price down but willing to negotiate
  14. I find it interesting that the Bills signed Davis Webb as their practice squad QB when he played for the Jets and Giants and now the Bills have signed Curtis Akins a LB who was with Cincinnati this year. Could just be a really weird coincidence but I’m sure they are getting tips on the Bengals defense now.
  15. Sportsurge.net. they are the former reddit guys who have moved to this website. I’ve used it when I don’t have cable and there are usually at least 10 streamers for each game. Usually 1 pop up add is it and the game is on the computer
  16. The only reason why I would switch it is because the “12th man” is a patented Texas A&M saying and we have to negotiate the rights to it and how it’s used. This Is why you never see Bills 12th man gear ever being created or them using it on social media etc because they aren’t allowed to. They also will not be allowed to put the 12th man on the walls of any new stadium unless it’s renegotiated. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.goodbullhunting.com/platform/amp/telcoag/2014/7/30/5953545/12th-man-trademark-agreement-texas-am-aggies-buffalo-bills
  17. If he wasn’t a scumbag I’d say Tyreek Hill. I’ll go with another Chief, Travis Kelce if I’m not including QBs
  18. It doesn’t matter who’s in front of Brady unless you make him hold the ball longer than a second. He gets rid of it so quick unless a guy whiffs it’s already out. with that said a good way to affect him with those short crossers and such is to get hands on the ball and bat them in the air. Something I hope the Bills keep up
  19. I’m gonna say Jordan Poyer. Always in the right spot, can play deep half or come down in the box for run support and do a great job at both. Highly underrated player. Lots of good options but it has to be someone on defense in my opinion
  20. I understand where your coming from but let’s say Rudolph craps the bed the next couple weeks, the Steelers lose 3 in a row to start 0-5. They aren’t placing that call esp now after giving up their 1st round pick for Minkah? Jacksonville has a pretty wide open division to possibly win. I just brought up the Jets because he can play 3-4 games stay in NY and not move his house or family etc while still getting a chance to recuperate any value he still has
  21. I suspect the Giants ownership who loves Eli will try to do everything to accommodate him and find another place for him to play. The Jets make the most sense, he would start, stay in NY . The downside of that is if he turns it around he makes the Giants look like bigger fools esp if Jones flops. Pittsburgh and Jacksonville esp with the Jets have to be making a call to inquire. Don’t think New Orleans will be one of them tho
  22. As it pertains to Offensive Coordinator playcalling, I’ve always been an advocate that most offensive coordinators are the same. They run the same run schemes, and pass route combinations. The difference in the “playcalling” is the level of talent you have to run said schemes to success. Last year a lot of people were complaining about the schemes and the lack of production but now that the QB, WRs,TEs and OL have been replaced, or gotten a lot better, Daboll all of a sudden is a rocket scientist who is dialing up all the right calls at the right time. Its just my opinion as I don’t think every Bills OC was terrible over the last 25 years, they just lacked the tools for success
  23. Must have missed that 3 page thread literally 4 spots lower on the page
  24. It makes zero sense. Yes he’s a great talent( I’m even a homer as an FSU fan) but he’s a problem child when this team has great chemistry. The Bills would have to pay him a ton of money. They also already had the # 1 pass defense in the NFL last year and seem to be headed for top 5 again this year. Why would you disrupt that chemistry especially when you have Levi Wallace on a dirt cheap contract and fits in with the other 3 guys in the secondary. Ramsey comes in and wants to be the alpha dog in that secondary. If were trading for defense it should be for pass rush
