  1. Yes, he is good - better than Joseph (same team) who is long gone. I don't get it!
  2. I have to wonder - economics. Isn't signing one player (Mc Cargo) also cheaper than signing two? Maybe I am just niave.
  3. Actually, the pick of three college Juniors seems pretty consistent with what we saw in free agency - go for younger guys with upside who haven't reached their potential. Clearly, a re-building strategy that, I for one, can live with. We have a long way to go!
  4. Fortunately, we have an accurate, pocket passer in JP who is not prone to scrambling! Nothing like Vick! : Just what Peerless needs!
  5. A pretty thoughtful analysis, if a little on the optimistic side, especially at fullback. However, that is better than the usual "chicken littles." Have to agree about Shaud. In the current NFL, the differences between the haves and have nots is just not that great, thanks to the cap. This team (with help from the draft and a few free agents) can be competitive. 2006 may not be a DEBACLE after all.
  6. Have to agree. A fourth round pick in no way compensates for Moulds. Bring him back! He is a winner!
  7. Thanks to you both for some rational comments. We were going nowhere before with the past duo. I have the feeling that this one may just be on to something!
  8. Perhaps, we have a different definition of "rag arm." I have never questioned his arm strength. What I was refering to was passing accuracy. Because of footwork or lack of sonething) he was much less successful at hitting open targets than Holcomb, our "journeyman backup QB." That is not a good sign - what good is arm strength without accuracy? I hope this was just "rookie NFL adjustment"- but I'm not so sure.
  9. Now be honest - Would you rather have Bledsoe and Owens or Losman/Holcomb and Evans? Or, the Buffalo offensive line or the Dallas one? Which would give us more hope and excitement for the 2006 season? No com-parison. But we diehard Bills will love them anyway!
  10. Serious post #2. I'm afraid I have to agree with you. He has been really bad to date. Maybe he will turn it around, but I am not optimistic. Happy feet and a rag arm.
  11. Try "intelligence." Add "success." Who are you to match either of these? Give it up!
  12. Ageism, pure and simple. The "high school Harrys" are just feeling their testosterone. If Marv were a 25 year old GM, none of these "rush to judgements" would be made. But then, who would want a 25 year old GM? Can we please just wait and see what happens when the season starts?
  13. Right! A more likely scenario is an offer to Kerry Collins or even Griese or Fiedler, just in case JP is really a bust. No way Marv would waste #8 on him.
  14. What? You dare to introduce facts into this baseless indictment of Ralph? Shame!
  15. Despite all of the ageist comments by the 20 year old scholars on this board, Ralph is still mighty sharp. Give him a break - he was just being honest, an attribute that is rare among the owners.
  16. Sorry if this has already been mentioned but, in case anyone is not aware of it, the video of mike Schneck snapping at various targets around town is now available for your viewing. Don't know how long it will be there. USAtoday.com
  17. If you go to USAtoday.com right now, the featured video (bottom left of the web page) is the Channel 2 bit of Schneck snapping about town that you described. Pretty good!
  18. A good omen - we are allowing him to use his nickname and are referring to him as DJ. We could be using the initials for his given name, but we are not that cruel!
  19. Kalimba Edwards would be a great acquistion, if the price is right. I watched him play at SC, and he can be dominant, a real sack threat.
  20. There is a lot to love - a coach who the players respect, press conferences with an intelligent, articulate coach who would not embarrass his 9th grade English teacher, a good working relationship with his GM. A welcome change. Sherman may have been great. However, one claim to fame that was often cited was that he planned to draft JP if the Bills hadn't taken him first. Was that a plus? I see no evidence of it so far. (Hope I'm wrong.)
