  1. Now I sort of like the idea of adding Worthy.
  2. Neither of the Robinsons are edge difference makers that merit #28. It's the absolute definition of reaching for need. It's a terrible draft at the position. Latu is the only fella I would accept, and he isn't going to be there.
  3. It could play out that way. I'd still rather get Thomas if he somehow falls within trade range, or Mitchell, even if that means not trading back to add a pick. But the trade back and grab Legette or Coleman is a plausible strategy, and makes sense.
  4. We currently don't even have a 3rd. Waiting until the 4th round in this exceptional WR draft is just an awful idea.
  5. He's my fall back. Coleman is my fall back to the fall back, though a lot of folks have Coleman ahead of Legette. I'm still going to hold out irrational hope for Thomas, and then moderate hope for Mitchell.
  6. I agree, it would take a big trade up, which is unlikely. I'm going to keep pushing for a big X early.
  7. You mean Coleman, not Campbell. I'm not keen on Franklin. Coleman is okay in the second.
  8. They still need Thomas, Mitchell, or Legette. I hope Beane takes from this incentive to trade up for Thomas. If it means one WR in the draft, get an elite talent. The value of the signing is diminished if it means getting a round 2 edge at #28.
  9. We just signed Curtis Samuel. I think Beane is going to concentrate on getting his WR in round 1. Trade up for Thomas, small jump for Mitchell, or wait on Legette, though you probably could trade back and still get Legette.
  10. What I want are difference makers. If we can add one that makes a difference on the DL, and grab another at WR in the draft, I think I'm okay with that. And probably it won't happen, but you know, life is too short not to have fun with something that doesn't really cost anything but permitting a little bit of hope, even if it's unlikely.
  11. It would have to be a financial sacrifice that would still result in a decent payday, where the payoff is greater domestic happiness, and an appreciative wife. Somehow, I don't find that notion completely impossible to believe. Human flourishing can't just be summed up by purely economic calculation.
  12. In the eternal battle between Warriorspikes51 and BillsFanForever19, I think you have more ammo than usual on this one.
  13. What Ridley's contract ought to tell folks is that it is imperative to get your really good WR on a rookie contract. But somehow, there's still a contingent that thinks we need to get DE and DL early, because Patrick Mahomes . . .
  14. I'd like to give a green checkmark, but that would depend on knowing Beane will trade up/or back for a third round pick. If they go WR in the first, (assuming Armstead) I suspect edge or S in the second. I just can't see a McD team taking WR back-to-back early.
  15. If you draft him, you have to get an X later in the draft. It's simple as that. I don't think it's an impossible ask, but risky.
  16. I don't think that's a common perception. Folks are imagining an upgrade through the draft, which I don't think is implausible.
  17. We'll see. I think Beane is determined to improve the WR room, and it sure as hell isn't going to happen with free agency.
  18. Alright, I know their proclivities, but 2 D early would be a terrible choice. It's a great year for WR, but not so much if you push it out to day 3 before you take one. I think the odds still favor WR in the first, and if not, in the second.
  19. He doesn't look as athletic as he is, either. He's a stealth fella. Folks think he is just getting by on guile, but they are wrong.
  20. I haven't been following the entire conversation, but I know you are often a contrarian. Does this mean you doubt there is a day 1 or early day 2 pick at WR? I find that very hard to believe.
  21. You think they're only going to carry 4 receivers, or is that Hollins and 2 rookies?
  22. Yeah, I believe he could eventually replace Diggs. I think his ability on the outside is greater than many surmise. I don't think he's just a slot. And as an UGA fan, I saw a lot of him, and I just think he's special. But I would favor Mitchell and Legette, because they are true big X receivers.
  23. Okay, I'm going with a small trade up for Mitchell, or Legette at #28. I am in the minority, and I know you don't agree, but I wouldn't be mad if it was McConkey. I'll be mad if it is Robinson.
  24. Let me push you a little more on this. What are you taking from what you are currently hearing as an indicator of what Beane may be thinking? Do you think Beane stays at #28 and takes the top WR on his board, trades back if he doesn't see value, goes for an edge in a bad year at the position?
  25. I've been thinking he's a solid bet for us at #28. I figure Mitchell could be the choice there, but I'm surprised you are skeptical he will go round 1. I don't want to hear Beane passing on Legette to take a Chop Robinson.
