  1. Same day Obama said this, I booked a trip to Vegas. Take that, Obama!
  2. Who dat say dey gonna beat dem Saints?
  3. I'm kind of on Dante's side on this one. I entered, but I knew exactly what he was doing: if no one got them exactly, he wasn't giving them away.
  4. I'm going to go to Vegas in April for my 25th bday - first time ever going there. I've been researching different hotels, and everything I've seen points to planet hollywood. They seem to cater to the 20-30 crowd, have good prices, right in the center of the strip, have nice rooms, and a great casino. Anyone ever been? Is it a good choice? Thanks!
  5. The day AFTER NSD is the day DCs are going to take a new position in the NFL.
  6. Looks like its gonna be Florida and us.
  7. According to Wikipedia, Ronnie Jones currently serves as defensive coordinator at Arlington Martin High School. Ouch.
  8. You know absolutely nothing about him, don't you?
  9. Get Well Soon Ball of Beer!
  10. I don't really see anywhere in this thread where that was the case. Not really. If I understand you correctly, your point was that someone was going to dismiss Marty's statement. I didn't dismiss it; I said we don't really know the true meaning behind his statement, and likely never will. Its quite a different position from a dismissal - a declaration that it can't be accurate. The idea of the media as info-tainment is valid to a degree, but the Bills still hold a lot of the cards. They don't like what Tim is saying? They can pull the plug on his press credentials, no prob.
  11. I initially purged a bit after the Gailey hire, but its starting to grow on me. I think I'm going to hold off on purging for a bit.
  12. Thank you for proving my point: that you lumped everyone that posted something on the Internet into the same basket, while giving Marty S' public comments ultimate credibility. Not sure why you pulled out the "Marty isn't that good" speak here, your original claim was this: "Well done, and this evidence will probably be summarily dismissed by all the 'experts' and bloggers around here." Tim Graham is a helluva lot more credible than most people who post on this forum. When he makes claims like these, he's risking potential backlash from teams, sources, etc. if he's wrong. He's got his name attached to it. "This is the point. Media overall is not the most trustworthy of industries........this is hard to refute." So, if the media isn't credible, how do you decide which media articles to trust? Did you ever think that, perhaps, other people can play the media in order to get the outcomes they desire? I'm not claiming to have any idea what happened in the Marty S. situation. What I do know, though, is dismissing Tim Graham's post because he's some Internet Blogger and Marty S. has said differently in the past is shortsighted. You have no idea what exactly happened, likely never will, and will have to decide what to think for yourself, unless Marty S. or the Bills publicly say one way or the other (which will likely never happen).
  13. Nevergiveup, appreciate the insight! Its awesome.
  14. You didn't realize that Pooj was using a spokesman from the team that turned down Marty, using Marty's on-the-record quotes, to prove a true journalist's story that Marty wanted the job was false, did you?
  15. Still enjoying the cold weather, Andy?
  16. I absolutely agree. The consistency that Budweiser, Miller, Labatt, etc achieve are amazing. And there are definitely some good examples of that style of beer. The problem with lagers, though, is you can't generally do too much with them. You've got a few specific styles, and that's about it. There are some cool things being done with dunkle lagers, but outside of those, they're kinda boring. All the interesting brewing where brewers are experimenting is generally done from ales (wheat beers, IPAs, brown ales, stouts, porters, etc). I would have thrown breweries from Colorado into the west coast, but they are more mid-west, aren't they? I love some Avery, Great Divide, and Breckenridge. Colorado has some awesome breweries. Yeah, there are definitely some good east coast breweries. Throw Abita, Harpoon, and Allagash into that list as well, and of course Dogfish Head, who makes some of the most interesting beers I've ever had (and are, by far, my favorite brewery). I do think, though, that some of the local California brews that I've had beat the East Coast ones. I just wish I could get breweries like AleSmith here in Texas!
  17. No, I missed something - an exclamation mark to be in fact. I meant to type != win, but in my drunken state I missed it. lol.
  18. Thanks. I'm pretty proud of this Texas team, they showed a ton of heart and class last night. Yeah, I'm excited about Gilbert. It's going to be a good battle again in Dallas next year!
  19. For a beer thread, this is a pretty bad one. Everyone who said a lager, should be eliminated. Bottom fermentation = win. ew.... Pils. Hop Devil is great, though. The Alamo Drafthouse, where I watch movies, keeps Hop Devil on draft, and they'll bring it to me while I watch films. Abt 12 is a fantastic abby beer, probably my favorite. From looking at this thread, it seems like you guys really don't get teh chance to experience many of the fantasitc west coast beers. I hate to say it, but the west coast is where its at for microbrewing. We have a few decent ones in Texas, but outside of Abita, Allagash, and Dogfish Head, pretty much all of the great beers come from the west coast. Green Flash and Alesmith are two of my favorite breweries.
  20. As a Texas fan, I agree. I hate to think that McCoy isn't going to be successful at the next level, but I just don't think he will be. He'll be a good backup QB, and that's about it. Oh, and your 2nd paragraph put it perfectly.
  21. Amen brother!
  22. Yeah, completely agree. I have no clue what we were doing there, it was retarded.
  23. lol! Man, I wouldn't be surprised if in 2 years these two teams meet again. Richardson has the ability to carry that team like Ingram did, and our team + probably the best rookie class in the country is going to be crazy. We're looking at two of the premier programs over the next few years. Its exciting
  24. lol! Bill = NYC, btw
