  1. A great QB can mask a bad o-line performance (just look at Rothelisberger). Problem is, there aren't any QBs in this draft who can do that, so I tend to agree they should go OT/DT/LB in this draft.
  2. Only because he's so damn overrated. I'd only take him in the 4th or 5th.
  3. Technically, you can't get him down to 0% since some people have already voted for him.
  4. Mr. Jake Delhomme
  5. I'll take you up on that. My coworker just got back from Canada and has been raving about it, although its rated pretty poorly on rate beer, I still want to try it.
  6. I gotta bring a box of TOs back to Texas to put next to the Flutie Flakes on my desk.
  7. Indeed, that is perfect.
  8. I'd love to get Derrick Johnson. I think he can cover better than Ellison, and would be a pretty good LB in Ellison's spot once Poz gets back, and could hold down the middle until then.
  9. Yep, I freaking love it. Especially since AT&T is giving it to me.
  10. Navy should have just killed Pryor.
  11. From http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/07/sports/n...f=ncaafootball:
  12. I definitely agree with you. He really grew into his own last season, as he really figured out how to read college defenses well. Before that he struggled and turned the ball over a lot. I love him as our quarterback this year, I'm just skeptical about his jump to the NFL.
  13. As someone who has watched every single one of Colt McCoy's college games cept the one this past week (I <3 Cozumel), I have to say I don't think he's worthy of a top pick. His completion percentage is huge, but he generally gets the ball in the right "area", doesn't hit receivers in stride, and when he doesn't complete a pass, he misses big time. With much faster and better DBs in the NFL, these passes are going to be picks. Texas generally runs a less complex offense as well, which took Colt a long time to pick up, I'm not sure of how fast he'll pick up an NFL offense. Finally, he's tiny. My roommate at UT that had classes with him said he looked like he had down's syndrome because of his stature. That being said, he's a wonderful person, tough as all hell, and is a solid college QB. I just think he has a really, really long way to go to be an NFL-quality QB. From what I've seen from Snead, during his time at UT, I don't have a lot of good things to say about him either.

  15. It's 9:35 PM Texas Time and OU still sucks!
  16. Thanks guys. Its wonderful so far.
  17. Anyone ever been? We're staying at the adults only sabor section of the all-inclusive wyndham resort. Any suggestions on what we should do? Thanks.
  18. lol seriously
  19. I definitely like it. I go into my drafts targeting a QB like Cutler/Palmer (risk, reward QBs with good value) and always try to pair them with Garrard in the 9th or 10th round. Even if Palmer falters, you still have a solid QB in Garrard who was QB 10-12 last year without any sort of WRs or OL to speak of. Jacksonville's offense and Garrard's situation should definitely be improved, and I look for him to finish around #8 this year. Pairing him with a guy like Palmer who, when healthy, is a top QB I think is a wonderful strategy. You have adequate starting performance to fall back on should Palmer not have a great year. This strategy also lets you build up your RBs and WRs. I think the AP/Portis combo is tremendous (Portis is the last of the better RBs imo), and Larry Johnson is a solid backup for when Portis is hurt. I love the Steve Smith pick, think Braylon will be your #2, and its going to be close between DeSean and Anthony for your #3. Great depth at this position as well, I love Josh Morgan this year. Witten is, of course, the #1 TE and Minnesota is going to be a top defense. All in all, I'd say an extremely successful draft. I disagree with BuffOrange's rating, I'd give you an A-.
  20. Snead? The guy who couldn't beat out Colt McCoy at Texas?
  21. It was between Bowe and Boldin for me, and I went with Bowe because he hit top 5 in targets in the NFL last year, and I think thats not going to change. I was also thrilled with Gore in the middle of the 2nd round, I love the Forte/Gore/Smith combo at RB (Kevin Smith's value goes way up in a ppr). Didn't like any of the RBs left at that point. I'll end up dropping Campbell for whoever emerges, and I wanted to keep Campbell away from a couple teams with really, REALLY crappy QBs. I love Garrard this year myself. He finished #10-12 last year with terrible receivers and a terrible situation. Got to think he's going to finish higher this year. Thanks for the comments.
  22. I think the thread starter mistyped "stub"
  23. Did my 12-team PPR draft tonight, work league. I had #8 overall, was pissed Deangelo went the pick right before mine (I think he's money this year) but I'm happy with getting the whole Bears offense. Start QB, 2 RBS, 2 WR, 1 Flex, 1 TE, 1 PK, 1 D/ST QBs: Cutler Garrard Campbell RBs: Matt Forte Frank Gore Kevin Smith Cedric Benson WRs: Dewayne Bowe Chad Ochocinco Torry Holt Domenik Hixon Josh Morgan TEs: Greg Olsen Tony Scheffler PK: Jason Elam D/ST: Philadelphia
