  1. That's my first thought Ray. Why have a posse and not be able to blame things on one of them when the sh-- hits the fan. He's got to have some hanger-on, leach, who can return him a favor for an agreed upon eventual payday.
  2. That was funny stuff. I like that the kid had some fun with it, instead being a zombie like some of these spelling bee kids seem to be.
  3. I could swear I saw LSI peeking out of one of the huts. Maybe that is where Wallers go when banned.
  4. I know it's only partially a comedy.....but Trainspotting is one of my all time favorite movies. Anyone remember this scene?: Renton: Brilliant gold taps, virginal white marble, a seat carved from ebony, a cistern full of chanel number five, and a flunky handing me pieces of raw silk toilet roll. But under the circumstances I'll settle for anywhere.
  5. Where was this picture taken? Pennsyltucky?
  6. How about...... Alexander Supertramp.
  7. Happy Birthday! May your dreams of Kordell Stewart playing QB for the Bills come true... of course only in your dreams.
  8. Per Rotoworld: Ashton Youboty-DB-Bills May. 28 - 8:33 pm et The Bills reportedly have no plans to trade CB Ashton Youboty at this time. Cleveland reportedly expressed interest in the Ohio native, but Buffalo intends to hang onto the 2006 third-round pick to compete in training camp. The Bills are deep at cornerback, so Youboty is no lock to hang around into September. The Browns might just hold out and see if Youboty is cut. Source: Cleveland Plain Dealer
  9. The Ralph wanting Wright rumor was reported on the internet the month after the draft. On a side note after that draft it was also reported: "The fact that the Packers likely had its fourth-round sights set on RB Dwayne Wright before he was selected by Buffalo suggests even the Packers are not completely sold on their current mix at RB" As much as I didn't like the Wright pick at the time, Ted Thompson has done an incredible job of accumulating talent in Green Bay the last several years. If he saw something in Wright, maybe something is there.
  10. Published Wed May 28 10:33:00 a.m. ET 2008 As expected, Bills RB Dwayne Wright is facing competition for the third tailback role from rookie Xavier Omon. Impact: Fred Jackson's hold on the backup job is secure, so the third tailback role is more pertinent for dynasty leaguers. Wright didn't show much last season while Omon was seen as one of the most intriguing running back sleepers in the draft. Ok, so it's a slow news day............
  11. I liked him as Victor Ziegler in Eyes Wide Shut.
  12. "May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows you're dead" RIP
  13. I like Michael Goodwin's coloumn in the New York Daily News: Link SICK. Disgusting. And yet revealing. Hillary Clinton is staying in the race in the event some nut kills Barack Obama. It could happen, but what definitely has happened is that Clinton has killed her own chances of being vice president. She doesn't deserve to be elected dog catcher anywhere now. Her shocking comment to a South Dakota newspaper might qualify as the dumbest thing ever said in American politics. Her lame explanation that she brought up the 1968 assassination of Robert Kennedy because his brother Ted's illness was on her mind doesn't cut it. Not even close. We have seen an X-ray of a very dark soul. One consumed by raw ambition to where the possible assassination of an opponent is something to ponder in a strategic way. Otherwise, why is murder on her mind? It's like Tanya Harding's kneecapping has come to politics. Only the senator from New York has more lethal fantasies than that nutty skater. We could have seen it coming, if only we had realized Clinton's thinking could be so cold. She has grown increasingly wild in her imagery lately, invoking everything from slavery to the political killings in Zimbabwe in making her argument for the Florida and Michigan delegations. She claimed to be the victim of sexism, despite winning the votes of white men. But none of it was moving the nomination needle, with Obama, despite recent dents, still on course to be the victor. So she kept digging deeper, looking for the magic button. Instead, she pushed the eject button, lifting herself right out of consideration. Giving voice to such a vile thought is all the more horrible because fears Obama would be killed have been an undercurrent to his astonishing rise. Republican Mike Huckabee made a stupid joke about it recently. Many black Americans have talked of it, reflecting their assumption that racists would never tolerate a black President and that Obama would be taken from them. Clinton has now fed that fear. She needs a very long vacation. And we need one from her. Say good night, Hillary. And go away
  14. as per NFL.COM and Rotoworld: Vince Young-QB- Titans May. 23 - 8:44 pm et Vince Young said that he considered quitting football during training camp last summer because of the pressures "I really thought long and hard about it," Young told NFL.com. "There was so much going on with my family. It was crazy being an NFL quarterback. It wasn't fun anymore. All of the fun was out of it ... My teammates helped lift me out of it." Keith Bulluck confirms the prospect was real at the time, but we wouldn't take it too seriously. Young left Texas a year early and this is just a sign of a kid showing some immaturity while dealing with the pressures of the NFL.
  15. Peanut Butter Cups. Of course they have to be kept cold in the fridge before eating. Mmm.....
  16. I have a ton of the stuff you mention here. I'm a bit unorganized with my collection right now and need to tackle it soon. But, I'll PM you a blog where you can get most of this stuff at.
  17. Alternative rock song I'm listening to now. Hey, it's currrent, but the band was formed in the '90's. Nada Surf
  18. From cnnsi.com today: Young sorry for Internet photos Posted: Friday May 23, 2008 07:37AM ET To Vince Young, it was simply a night on the town. A good time with friends and an offseason release from the pressure that goes with being an NFL quarterback. With the push of a button, however, it became something much bigger. Photos of the partying Titans quarterback on the Internet last week appeared mostly innocent, but they led to questions about everything from his football commitment to his lifestyle... "I apologize to some of the kids if they did see it because I am trying to be a role model for them," Young said after practice Thursday. "But at the same time, I was just trying to have fun."
  19. At least no one will accuse you of making that up.
  20. Can this thread be merged with the smiley faced killers thread?
  21. Pro Football Weekly Blurb: There was little contention entering April’s draft that whatever team landed Troy’s Leodis McKelvin would not only be gaining the services of one of the top cover corners in the rookie class, but also a player who would add some sizzle returning kickoffs and punts. Although more accomplished as a punt returner, McKelvin was effective at both, scoring seven touchdowns on returns throughout his collegiate career. But the way we hear it, his special-teams ability will be shelved in Buffalo, at least early on. With an already brilliant special-teams unit — arguably the best in the NFL — and a shoddy secondary, coach Dick Jauron wants McKelvin to learn the ropes of the defense first and foremost. McKelvin isn’t a particularly astute student of the game, and the feeling among the coaches is that throwing both the defensive and special-teams playbooks at him at once will stunt his development. Even if the team felt McKelvin could handle dual responsibilities, there’s no guarantee he’d improve the special-teams play, considering KR Terrence McGee and PR Roscoe Parrish are two of the best in the business.
