I never thought I could feel this way And I've got to say that I just don't get it I don't know where we went wrong But the feeling's gone And I just can't get it back

I remember them and a tie was considered a lost bet, so none of the point spreads involved half points.

Today I Learned, Early 2024 Edition
Bill from NYC replied to Ridgewaycynic2013's topic in Off the Wall
Certainly you are happy to hear this wonderful news, no? -
Let's not forget: LSD (not that I ever tried it) The Grateful Dead The toured for pretty much the entire decade If you wanted to bet a football game you did so with the Mafia (or aome other gang affiliated illegal bookie. The biggest bet I ever made was as a very young teen, I bet $275 against $250 and took the Raiders over the Vikings. It was a blood bath.

In the songs I've been singing quite often a phrase Comes close to the feeling of you But I never suspected that one of those days The wish of a song would come true You love for real You show the feel Of everything that touches you

Without McDermott I would say probably yes.

Walkin' down the street, smoggy-eyed Looking at the sky, starry-eyed Searchin' for the place, weary-eyed Crying in the night, teary-eyed Don't you know that it's true That for me and for you The world is a ghetto

Sexy Rexy interviewed for Cowboys DC position
Bill from NYC replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why not? Rex always has been into toes. -
I guess neither Levy nor McDermott was her coach.

On one occasion I happened to be in the stands directly behind home plate field level at Shea Stadium when Armando Benitez was pitching. Having seen this post I googled him. He is listed at 6'4"/180. When I saw him it looked like he weighed 230 or even more. Benitez was throwing the ball just so hard that I found it hard to believe that anybody even had a chance to even foul one off. The ball hitting the catchers mitt sounded like an explosion. From what I gather he was a bit of a nut. I would not be at all shocked if he was on steroids but again, he looked unhitable and that night he was backing guys off the plate and striking them out seemingly at will. His career went south and he wound up playing with the Long Island Ducks from what I read. Those guys make very little money so I suppose that he wasn't much of a saver lol.

Will Derrick Henry be a Bill in 2024?
Bill from NYC replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Henry has always been one of my favorite players since his college days, but remember; even as far back as his college years he gets better with a larger number of carries. The man would literally beat up defenders, and I'm not at all sure that he is capable of a large number of carries any more. -
We Bills Fans have become quarterback snobs, haven't we? We are slamming Tua as if he is garbage and while he is not an elite qb, he is more than twice as good as anything we had between the years of 1997 and 2017. I mean we are looking back at JP Losman, Trent Edwards, a finished Drew Bledsoe, Tyrod Taylor, Fitz, Rob Johnson, Todd Collins and Doug Flutie (who may have been the best of this sorry bunch). Looking back at that sad list, in those days we would have welcomed Tua, no?

Doug Marrone out as Saints OL Coach
Bill from NYC replied to BCAS Baritone's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wow. Coach Saban also showed him the door at Alabama 2 years ago, firing him as OL Coach.. Iirc he ws hired by russ Brandon, his butt buddy from Syracuse. I never thought of him as a very good coach but I suppose that in those years no coach really stood a chance. -
So needless to say I'm odds and ends But I'll be stumblin' away Slowly learnin' that life is okay Say after me It's no better to be safe than sorry Take on me (Take on me) Take me on (Take on me) I'll be gone In a day or two

Do you wonder if the league is fixed?
Bill from NYC replied to The Red King's topic in The Stadium Wall
Even if it does not matter immediately, how can increased, and new and different viewers NOT effect profits down the road? Do you think that the cameras are showing TS and Kelce with the band aid for no reason, or to turn a profit? I hope that you don't sense any hostility in my responses. It's an interesting topic imo and we can certainly agree to disagree afaic. -
You showed me how, how to leave myself behind How to turn down the noise in my mind Now I haven't got time for the pain I haven't got room for the pain I haven't the need for the pain Not since I've known you

Do you wonder if the league is fixed?
Bill from NYC replied to The Red King's topic in The Stadium Wall
I said nothing about liberals and/or conservatives. I'm talking about big companies making tons of money. Long ago if any sporting event was "fixed" it would be done by the mob which barely exists today. The government took over their rackets in a sense.
