  2. Bama has a kid named Jaylen Moody, an ILB. He wasn’t a 5 star, but he came out of nowhere last season. I didn’t really care when the reports came out that To’o To’o was going to OSU. Our LBs were probably the strongest unit on the team already. I hope that Moody doesn’t enter the portal. If he does, trust me; you want him. I hope that you and Yolo do a write up on OSU before the season. I know it would be a great read!
  3. The above makes a ton of sense. At 85 (with billions in your pocket mind you) who would need the drama?
  4. Dream lover, where are you With a love, oh, so true And the hand that I can hold To feel you near as I grow old 'Cause I want (yeah-yeah, yeah) A girl (yeah-yeah, yeah) To call (yeah-yeah, yeah) My own (yeah-yeah, yeah) I want a dream lover So I don't have to dream alone
  5. I could not agree more. As much as I detested Whaley in terms of his capability as GM, I really do think that he was able to spot talent at many positions. That said, he gave away the store in terms of draft day trades over and over again, and didn't however have a clue in terms of the QB position. Yet, he was probably better than Levy as a GM LOL!!! As always, jmo.
  6. You are certainly an expert at, and 100% qualified to comment about "cheaters!!!" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joey_Greco
  7. @BADOLBILZ if the Bills OL is "good" at pass protection and "poor" at run blocking, why is this the case? Run blocking would seem much easier for offensive linemen than pass blocking simply because the offense knows the snap count and fires out at the defense, no? In college, the gigantic blockers like Mike Williams or Deonte Brown (364 pounds from Alabama) are easily able to out muscle defenders on running plays. I get it that doing so is MUCH harder than in the NFL but I still don't understand how run blocking can be a weakness. The following is my list of possible explanations: 1) A smaller number of holding calls so the NFL can provide more high scoring games and protect QBs, making pass blocking easier. 2) Slow running backs. 3) Physically stronger defenders. This would seem unlikely because LBs are smaller. 4) Small or poor running backs. 5) Allen's great mobility. 6) Allen's quick release? All of the best offensive linemen I have ever seen were great at run blocking. This includes Tackles, Guards and Centers. I don't understand.
  8. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/31410860/tennessee-volunteers-top-tackler-henry-too-too-transfers-alabama-crimson-tide Can someone tell me how good this kid is? I don't remember anything about him. Sure, I'm a homer but before this news, I think that Alabama had the best LB corps I have seen in many years. Seriously, I wasn't concerned about getting him due to the talented LBs both inside and outside. Is he THAT good?
  9. @Virgilis the USA as compared to England. He surpassed me and I am happy that he did so and quite proud of him. I want people to know that what Virgil does is not as easy as one would think. To post summaries as such is work. To do so, one must love the Bills and truly love TBD/TSW. Remember, he is on his own. There are no Sundays off for him. The rewards however include creating dialogue, expressing your opinions, learning from other Bills Fans, and sharing the joy of wins (which were not so plentiful for me). During one season, I was getting divorced and couldn't get DTV in my new apartment. I watched the games in a sports bar, frantically taking notes. It wasn't so bad because several women actually approached me and asked if they could read what I was writing lol! They were curious about the song lyrics. I told Virgil that if given ample notice, I will fill in for him if he needs a week off. Should this happen, don't expect my work to be as good as his! Last season, I was thinking that we would win the Super Bowl. I was a huge Josh Allen Fan from day 1. As many of you probably know, I am a University of Alabama Crimson Tide fan for more than 50 years. I thought that both of my teams would be champions together. Well, this year the Bills will do it imo. and; @Virgil will be the perfect person to lead our celebration. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. I am doing quite well, thanks. Had a health scare 5 1/2 years ago but the doctors say I am asymptomatic. God is with me and I am getting what I consider to be the best medical care in the world. I expected us to win the SB last year and we were close. 2021 will be our year imo. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. I did OK in the mock draft too lol. I had the Dolphins and drafted Pitts, Leatherwood, and Eichenberg (who they actually drafted). This draft was wonderful. If should produce immedate and future results. Selecting at 30, I couldn't be much happier.
  12. I happened to be in a sports bar and saw the a game he played with Tampa Bay. Please trust me, he was perfect. He was throwing great, accurate passes and they upset the team they were playing. Worse yet, I saw one of his college games in which he was also great. So great that I wanted the Bills to draft him but ya know, he lasted until the 1st pick of the 4th round. Sometimes the scouts are right. Anyway, Wade HAD to have seen the Tampa game that I saw. I remember him at a press conference welcoming in the "Rob Johnson Era." Seriously!
  13. I know all about you, your childhood days Your mom and dad, your pretty face Mean mistreater, if you need me I'm needin' you, to set me free
  14. Yeah, after Rob Johnson left I still thought he would get himself together and be a star. This illustrates just how sold I was on him. Then, I was at a Bills game at RWS when he was on the Redskins. Their QB was injured and RJ came in. He was absolutely awful, and he was sacked several times. Once, Schobel hit him SO hard that I was concerned for his health. RJ was big and had a great arm. He was accurate and his ball looked easy to catch. He was even a fast runner. This made it hard for me to see how bad he in fact was. After RJ, I was never fooled by another QB other than Edwards, and this only for a few games. I think I was WAY ahead of the pack knowing just how terrible Losman was. The play was over every time he rolled to his right lol!
  15. I strongly disagree with them, and not for the reasons you might suspect. Alabama is ranked a bit too high imo. I think that their defense will be the best college football has seen in many years, but this is an offensive game now. I just don't know if a defense, even a great one csn stop high powered offenses. The Tide lost just so much talent on offense that if they do win a title this year, it will be the greatest achievement of Coach Saban's career which obviously says quite a bit. I feel like Ohio State has the edge this year, They are super talented and will be hungry after the title game. I would love to hear the opinions/predictions of others. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/31366880/college-football-post-spring-top-25-power-rankings
  16. Yeah, players could just leave Buffalo if they felt like it, including Jason Peters, who was easily one of the very best players to ever wear a Bills uniform.
  17. I Dig, The Mamas And The Papas At "The Trip, " Sunset Strip In L.A. And They, Got A Good Thing Goin' When The Words Don't Get In The Way. And When They're Really Wailing, Michelle And Cass Are Sailin'. Hey! They Really Nail Me To The Wall.
  18. Maybe they could have tagged him with a "promise" not to do it again. 😃 I wonder how many people will remember what I refer to above.
  19. My love I'll never find the words, my love To tell you how I feel, my love Mere words could not explain Precious love You held my life within your hands Created everything I am Taught me how to live again
  20. You make a great point. Imo Schobel was a clearly superior player to Hansen. I'm saying not even close.
  21. Times have changed. We were drafting all of these DBs even before the rule changes made the NFL primarily a passing league. Now, corners are of more value and better athletes are playing this position. I readily acknowledge this. That said, the success of the Buffalo Bills Franchise hinges on Josh Allen. This would seem to be beyond dispute. We need to protect him and give him weapons. We drafted 3 blockers this year and it was a smart move imo. Other than Dawkins, how many of our blockers deserve big contracts? Some will need to be replaced (at some point) and the guys we drafted will not cost much. If any of them are good, they are a "steal" of sorts. Also fwiw, imo this was a draft that was loaded with blockers. In a normal draft all 3 would have been selected sooner. As for our first pick, have you watched him on you tube? The kid has the perfect build (long, strong arms) to be a pass rusher, and he is fast. People on this board who are Miami Fans love this pick, therefore so do I. One last point if I may.....Levi Wallace is a good player. Calvin Ridley practiced against him and said that he was a solid corner. Tre might be the best corner in the NFL. If not, he is top 5 and they are both young. Our secondary doesn't seem to be much of a problem so I am not so worried. As always, jmo.
  22. You know, I had pushed that move out of my head lol! Didn't Holocek make a game saving winning on a 4th and goal from our 1 or 2 yard line with no time remaining? I believe it was against Parcells with no time left.
  23. Wow thanks! I had not seen this yet. Losing Waddle and Davonta is HUGE. Davonta had the best hands on the team in a very long time, better than Jeudy or even Ridley. Waddle was fast, twitchy, and virtually impossible to cover so yes, there is room for more competition. John Metchie is their top receiver entering the season but he is not a Waddle type burner so I love bringing in this kid. Alabama will be a MUCH different team this year. Our defense (imho) looks better than it has in many years. If they remain healthy, these might be the best LBs I have ever seen. OLB Will Anderson, as a true sophmore, could be the best defensive player in the country IF he can stay healthy. The secondary looks great despite losing Surtain, and the DL looks better than last season. A kid named Tim Smith looks like he can replace Barmore. I don't really bet, but I think that people are going to make some money on the under early in the season. I would love it if you and/or Yolo would do an in depth analysis of OSU when we get close to the season. The offense can't possibly be as good. Bryce Young will bring a dimension of running that Mac didn't have, but we will miss Mac.
  24. I agree 100% and always felt as if the Bills neglect of the OL was the beginning of the end for the Bills. This, and letting the stars get old at the same time. Instead of trying to replace them, they drafted first round corners and running backs, which iirc Butler did in his first 2 seasons.
  25. I think Covington once had 17 tackles in one game, or something crazy like that. He was VERY hard to block. Holocek was also a top notch player and was only drafted late because of college injuries. He played well for a while but his body gave out. Same with Cowart. I remember that we lost virtually all of our LBs really close together. I think there was a game against Tampa Bay where there were multiple very serious injuries. Many young fans just don't know what we had to endure.
