  1. Considering their possible status after the CBA, I think this is excellent strategy that really protects the Bills. I commend the FO for being pro-active. They also are showing that they place some (undisclosed) value on keeping your own even if they are not superstars in their own right. I have said before that Poz and Whitner are above average players and we will be better off keeping them (at a reasonable price ofcourse).
  2. BB needs intel on our D ? If we are better this year that will mean that our players are better allowing the coaches to scheme. Which wont help by getting Stroud. I think the Pats* just got him as an experienced insurance policy to play occasional downs.
  3. Couldn't have planned it any better.
  4. Regarding Cam Newton : "I knew he was going to look great in a pair of shorts."
  5. Moats may be our Harrison
  6. Ha ha ha ha.
  7. Good thing last year's draft had more than one round else I would have believed you
  8. In rush hour, if a driver is using his cell phone and driving much slower than traffic flow, I am allowed to pull him over, slam that phone on the road and stomp all over it.
  9. McKelvin for AJ Hawk straight up is what I offer. Two underperforming high 1st rounders. Deal ?
  10. Let me be the first to welcome you. Knowledgeable football fans are always appreciated around here. And the Pack is one of my favorite teams after the Bills (small time market, rabid fans etc)
  11. Satan's actually ... ".... he believes Satan is attacking his family."
  12. Bills9999, can you play NT ? Seriously, I am 5-11 and most I have weighed is ~ 204 lb. I started working out when I was 196 and dropped to my now stable weight of 186 lb but have lost 4 inches off my waist and added muscle. So it is a good 186 as opposed to the flabby 196. Could lose more around the gut but boy those inches go slow....
  13. Perhaps I did not state my point properly. What I meant is that if there is a choice between a 'project QB' or a can't miss pick, I vote for the can't miss pick. Again, I realize that there really isn't a 'can't miss' when it comes to a draft but every year there is a consensus about some players who are far more NFL ready and unlikely to fail. Sam Bradford comes to mind. In this case, I would rather the Bills make a safe pick than one who is risky. I am not talking about money at all.
  14. Good points. Besides the money (which is ofcoruse a big deal), the state of our roster is such that we cannot afford to have a another failure of such a high pick. Mike Williams set us back a lot and we need to err on the side of a safe pick rather than a high risk-potential high reward. Take a solid player who will make the team better for years to come starting with this season.
  15. This one is different. It has been started by our fearless leader.
  16. Way too many DBs on that list
  17. - Chips and guacamole dip - Chips with my special dip (hot salsa, cream cheese, coriander and some seasonings) - Chili - 3 types of paninis - Samosas - Assorted beer snacks
  18. I have heard this said so many times but the fact is that even a second or third round draft pick should be contributing by his second year. He would be called a bust even if he was picked in those latter rounds. I think folks like Carrington and Moats have done more in their rookie year than Maybin has in his two years.
  19. Harm ? (1) being a distraction to the D strategy (2) Cutting him maybe saves some money (3) Does not add any value Bottom line is that if in this coming offseason and TC if Maybin does not show that he has made significant progress, he should not be on the opening day roster.
  20. When the overall success rate of drafting is so poor, you have to wonder if selecting Williams was strategy or just the law of averages catching up.
  21. Then you grew up and became a wimp ?
