  1. I'm sure the Titans were smart enough to figure out that it wasn't a good idea to trade away a high 3rd for one season and had this figured out with Henry and his agent prior to the trade. I know everyone here thinks that Donahoe is the only man with a brain in the NFL, but ...
  2. Gee, a third round pick for a starting running back hitting his prime. WOW!
  3. Posey's a weak link on the D along with the CB opposite Clements.
  4. This thread was a letter to someone seeking advice, not an open letter to TD.
  5. Exactly. It's not fair to Losman to put the entire burden on his shoulders from the get go. McGahee's gonna have to carry this offense and I'm not sure we have the line to do it.
  6. On Jokeman's lead: 1. Those same coaches relied on Bledsoe far too much last year and didn't even run the ball with him at QB. How much do you think we'll run early on? I don't know, just asking considering that last season was supposed to be a smashmouthed rushing attack and wasn't. 2. A lot of players "work their A$$ off" but aren't any good. Besides, it's not the passing game that will make us good, just as with all top teams, D and rushing will be the keys. Our line may prohibit us from having a rushing game good enough. Willis still needs holes. 3. Milloy and Vincent are also not a year older at 32 and 34 with Vincent coming off a season with an injury. Neither player is getting better and we are still short a decent CB. 4. STs should be tight again, but we beat a lot of questionable teams last season primarily due to outstanding STs play. Our schedule doesn't have too many questionable teams this season. We also don't want to have to rely on STs to win games for us like they did last season. 5. It will be very interesting to see how MM and TC coach this year. Are they gonna run Willis more? If they do, can our line open holes for him? They weren't great last year. As good as JPL may be, he'll need some time to get ready. You're not going to see essentially a rookie QB come in and light up the best defenses in the league to pull all kinds of games out of our butt. I'll be happy if he can win two or three and just not skid the sheets for a good chunk of the season. ALL QBs take time to learn the game. Roeth was good last year, but everyone talks about him as if he had 30 TDs when he only had 17. As mobile as he was, he was sacked 30 times in 13 starts behind a much better line than we have. That kind of play isn't going to push us to 12 wins. Pittsburgh had a much better rushing game than we did last year and somewhat of a better D. Bottom line: If the line doesn't block any better than last season then JPL's gonna have to do a lot more than he should have to this year if we expect to have a winning season. He also has to prove that he's not injury prone when full contact on the field in games starts.
  7. A total of 13 women and 11 men, ranging in age from 19 to 49, took part in the experiments at Dr Holstege's laboratory. [P] Since it was vital to remain completely still in the scanner, volunteers had to have their heads restrained while being stimulated. [p] The rest of the body was free to move. [p] Participants lay naked on a table with their head inside the scanner - but had to wear socks to avoid cold feet. [p] Boy, sounds like fun... [p] I'm surprised the word "probe" wasn't mentioned.
  8. Gosh, that looks tough. How on earth is Jagr expected to feed his family on only $8M per year instead of $11M. Tough times will have befallen him. How he's gonna make it is beyond me. The Jagr family will have to do some serious belt tightening. Sounds like an agreement whereby the guy in the wheelchair now permanently paralyzed who held his ground in a right of way issue with a truck just won some bucks in court. It'll be interesting to see what impact this demonstration of greed on the players parts plays out on the parts of the fans and how that impacts the league in general. I'd go watch college and minor league games instead.
  9. You got that right. If Willis were to hold out, I'd tell him to screw himself. His chances of busting his knees again are as good if not better than his busting out.
  10. If the 11/27 game is on July 16th, then why is it called the 11/27 game... Getting thru on the first day is traditionally a nightmare. The thing that's horrible about it is that all you can do is put in an order, you can't select the exact seats unless something's changed. For the Carolina game on Thanksgiving weekend I wouldn't think you'd have to get them on day one.
  11. It's funny, you read the comments in this thread and its hard not to think back to when Bledsoe came here. Same comments with the difference that everyone was wrong, not just those making the comments. LOL
  12. Yeah, but don't forget, it was Kitna in for the first time that season. He was very Bledsoe like. A good game defensively, largely b/c of that. A very, very poor game offensively, no two ways about it. Given that they were Cincy and we were the Bills, we were a better team, yet we couldn't move the ball and had to rely on three big plays to win the game. The game itself was in a sense dominated by them. If you don't agree, ask yourself how many games you think we'll win this season if we have to rely on three big plays like that each week.
  13. I don't know, the Bengals had nearly five yards per carry as a team and Rudi Johnson had nearly six. Willis barely had over two and as a team we had only 1.5 with only 43 total rushing yards. We had the 2nd ranked defense, they had the 19th. Doesn't sound too impressive to me. Other than Evans no one did a thing in that game offensively and we should have had 400 yards.
  14. I thought Gandy was the shining light of the Bears' OL last year...
  15. Damn straight! She could have hurt some patient there with a serious issue. One of the times when tazer use is fine by me.
  16. Opponents won't have to double EM for much longer. He ain't gettin' any faster.
  17. I say close down GITMO and find the stankiest, dingiest, grossest prisons. Transfer the prisoners/terrorists there and don't ever let the media in. No heat, no A/C, only bread, , water, and bad pork hot dogs.
  18. Nope! Anyone suggesting that the Bills may lose a game this season is dissing the team.
  19. You're not missing anything. The ones that are are Donahoe and Mularkey.
  20. JJ was anything but a "middle of the road" player. He's a notch below top tier in spite of the fact that he is oft injured with minor injuries. He was too expensive, but that doesn't mean he won't be sorely missed. To say that Gandy, a Chicago of all teams, castoff will "fill that spot very competently" after never even having started all of his seasons or even played T at all is baseless. You haven't a shred of evidence for that statement.
  21. Adams' best season with us was this past one. Edwards development has been held down due to Adams' presence on the team. Edwards will shine this season, just before he goes to sign with another team as he enters his prime.
  22. Or try to break one or more of its legs or gouge and eye out. Then don't stop, keep doing it. Pit Bulls are mentally retarded dogs. They're psychotic. They're peaceful as a stoned hippie one moment and then things such as this happen the next without any provocation whatsoever.
  23. I wonder if the mom and dad are brother and sister too.
