  1. Didn’t work out with us, needed to be off the roster. Should we have kept him scared he may blossom elsewhere? I say good luck to him!
  2. Love cook, but hate his stance. His actions are from the “I want a new contract” playbook. He’s just going through the motions right now taking it public. Problem is, at some point he will take it personal. More towards the start of camp is my guess. My issue? You signed a contract, honor it. Especially in this situation. What has he really done that he feels he deserves a massive contract?? Barely made it over 1K this past season. Didn’t contribute much to the passing game. Is off the field on a lot of 3rd downs. My sincere hope is he knows he won’t get 15 million, more around 10 or so. Will that suffice? Will he be back asking for 20 million when he breaks 1200 yards?? He’s no Saquon and doesn’t deserve anywhere near the same money. He’s a very good RB. If he wants that money he needs work on receiving and blocking. We could draft a guy in the 3rd round who could end up being a better player. There aren’t many backs who are game changers and deserve upper echelon money. And he’s not one of them.
  3. Didn’t think about him. Whoever signs him needs to hide their crab legs.
  4. Would love for the Browns to sign him. Leaving either the giants or Steelers without a QB. Hate the way Rodgers is dictating who goes where like he is.
  5. Happy we were able to move on. Happy for us and especially happy for Elam. Wish him luck that he finds his way.
  6. He will want the money. Not sure it’s a big market salary wise for him. He’s not the “1 year proven it deal” type of guy. Multi year contract…escalators and reasonable guarantees. Whoever pays, not necessarily a contender. A few years would have loved him with us. Not now, have enough short yardage guys. Shakir is our go to for that.
  7. What, the new guy has an amputated tip of his finger?? Damaged goods!
  8. First, we have no real idea where the cap sits other than we are most likely under. Need money for the draft class and in season moves for injury, etc. We were way up against the cap a few seasons ago and had trouble with signing late season injury players. He won’t do that again.
  9. If the pass rush is upgraded and produces, that helps the dbacks do their job. Hopefully that’s what happened with the dline additions. Still would like to see quality safety depth.
  10. Probably low cost. They will certainly upgrade at safety beyond him. If he sticks with good competition at the position, good for him. I just don’t expect it to be as a starter.
  11. Why should we? Is he the best back available? Is his cap number affordable? It’s all about the $$$. A player like Saquon or Henry would be a centerpiece for us. That’s not how our offense works. I’d say Ty and Davis could provide enough at the RB position.
  12. I’d pay an elite pass rusher 30 million and an elite RB 12 million. It’s all about market. Sorry, but Cook is a very good back…not great. Great backs last season were Saquon and Henry. Stats and game impact.
  13. Von had some flashes for sure! Great player!
  14. I don’t recall his play…went to many games back then and in my advanced age…forgot a lot. Other than he was an animal in stats. Thing is, how long ago was that? Maybe Mario was one of the last player with true pass rush skills since him?
  15. I’m not. Not at all.
  16. This is a Bosa to Niners breakdown. Dude does a decent job showing his skills. From this and others I’ve seen: Dude has fast hands Good feet Speed Recognition Pursuit Dictates players decision on where to go with the ball Aggressive Smooth Nose…for the ball People mover Line wrecker Continues with the play to the end These are traits this team has not seen for some time. Full package. Couple his talent with what we have? This could be a rarity of a truly great offense and great defense playing together. I am pumped for this season!!!
  17. Loaded dline makes the linebackers better. loaded dline and better linebackers makes better defensive backs. It all adds up to a great offense and a defense that needs to be reckoned with.
  18. Yes!! Watch old Bruce film. Dang if he doesn’t look similar. Obviously it just a small sampling, but tell me when you’ve seen any of our guys just wreck the line like that?? A few times a game and it makes a difference!
  19. Looking at this film, we have not had a guy who can wreck a line like this since Bruce. Impose his will. He’s not Bruce, but looks petty good here. Will need to look at more game film. Defense needs to allow him to be him. Love the signing. Love BBB after dark!
  20. I feel that is a low number for sure. Hometown discount?
  21. I love Cook and how he hits the hole, disappears and somehow ends up gaining another 3-4 yards. Can’t say I’m stoked about his pass catching, but he’s decent. Ty, Ray and Gore Jr. certainly would make me feel pretty good if the bills decide to not break the bank for cook. Ty is a huge piece to bring back. Super stable backup for sure.
  22. I absolutely agree. Dude is in a lot on 3rd downs for sure. Heck of a blocker. Rips off some nice runs. Had a nice game against the Broncos in the playoffs.
  23. Excellent! Love the guy and how well he plays! Blocks, catches and runs. Feel better now if there is unrest with Cook this season.
