  1. Trick question b/tchiz. you wouldn't have ancestors if you weren't here. It's basic hydronics. Nice try tiberius baron cohen.
  2. You're really baffled by it? Baffled?? I'm baffled that anyone could be baffled by a polarizing issue designed to be a polarizing issue.
  3. Agree 100% with the first paragraph. The owners lose any way you cut it with someone. As I said, they pledged $90m to social causes and still manage to look like the bad guys here. Under your suggestion, which seems like a very logical response to the business side of the concern, I predict outrage by those who see the NFL ownership group as stifling the right to individuals to kneel where and when they want (especially at work).
  4. And if that solved the problem for the team, what was the point of the protests? I have always thought the NFL was weak on letting this get out of hand, and figure a protest at work, in a secured area sponsored by Orange Julius in front of a captive audience was...whatever.
  5. Wasn't the league dropping $90m as part of a position that works for all? And didn't the league suggest standing when on the field, or staying off the field while the anthem was playing? Seems to me the only solution that works for the protestors is to let them do what they want, when and how they want no forbthe teams to deal with it. That puts the ownership group at odds with some of its fan base.
  6. I'd not panic until he throws 6 ints or more in the first 12 attempts. Let's give a bit of leeway here.
  7. "We" has nothing to do with it, and "we" don't decide on the validity of the return. You want the Entertainement Tonight review, you want the ladies from The View to opine. That means nothing. Trump said "no" as is his right.
  8. So, you have no additional information to share on the tax returns, and concur that the IRS and state agencies are the ultimate arbiters of right/wrong? Splendid!
  9. No need to attempt to make it personal, it reflects poorly on you as an individual. It makes you appear weak. You may actually be weak, but I have found that most people have an inner strength to draw upon when the chips are down. If the chips are down in your life, I urge you to reach out for support. As the chips are not down here (at least for me) your lashing out on this message board displays an unfortunate blemish in your character. Only God can judge you, but He gave me the right to an opinion. I asked a question that is as basic as it is fair. If the IRS accepts the tax return, tax paid or due to the tax payer, has the tax return not been released? Is there a special post-IRS ruling body that adjudicates any remaining questions? Besides, of course, the court of public opinion where that issue has already been decided. Please enlighten me. I don't know anything about Trump University other than what I read online. Last I can recall, NYS AG Eric Schneiderman was announcing a settlement to protect all NYers from TU. Then, the news came out that NYS AG Eric Schneiderman liked to slap around and verbally assult the women in his life, so I lost my trust in him. I felt like NY AG Eric Schneiderman wanted to appear strong in public by lashing out, but ultimately revealed himself to be very weak. Why are you such a fan of Eric Scneiderman? He's despicable.
  10. This is a fib wrapped up in a lie and reflects lazy liberalism on your part. His tax returns were released to the appropriate agencies in the government. That is not in dispute. I think what you mean to say is that President Trump chooses not to share his completed returns with the general public.
  11. It's always been troubling to me when the prosecution cuts a deal with a witness proven to be a lying scumbag to get someone else, even if that someone else is himself a lying scumbag. I realize it's life, and has to be that way, but it places tremendous power into the hands of a prosecutor and you have to hold your nose and hope the prosecutor is not himself a lying scumbag. Or, even a well-intentioned zealot.
  12. Great stuff, thanks. I'm wondering about the timing of the declassification, and what Trump releases. I figure with a target as big, brash and bold as Trump, and in a world where even your supposed allies potentially benefit for your demise, he'll want to be quite tactical about holding his cards close until needed. I would assume there is an awful lot of material that shows potential malfeasance by agents of the government, or could be spun that way.
  13. Ah, I forgot the oligarchs. Russian male men.
  14. But he can always say he won the popular vote, or would have if the women in Ohia weren't pushed around by their husbands, brothers, bosses and/or mailmen.
  15. I'm hearing we take Josh at 7. No, not Rosen...Allen! Stay tuned.
  16. Read the works of Theodor Geisel. His treatise on "The Grinch" really amounts to a fantastical deep dive on the perils of unfettered capitalism v communal socialism. I don't want to ruin it for you, but in the end, socialism wins out. Interestingly, in Giesel's never-competed dark sequel "Look Who's Grinchin 2", by page 6 there is literally no toilet paper to be found anywhere in Whoville and every character eventually starves to death. Plus The Grinch is like you, he seems to hate a little somethung about everyone. I call him The_GrinchDude.
  17. My old grandad told me something a long time ago, and its something I'll never forget. "Son," he said "if you're embarrassed by something you didn't do, someone will make sure you're always embarrassed by something." Powerful words.
  18. Here's the sad fact. No one is treated any better than anyone else. There is no middle of the road approach to civility, no label too hot to drop on a political candidate, nothing really off limits. Trump is absolutely as guilty as the rest, but the narrative seems to be he invented the genre. I've never understood the concept that political oneupmanship is akin to racism, and think it's a weak argument. We sat and watched the Clinton-Trump race/debates where Trump is vilified as a mysoginist, fascist and 'phobe' of virtually any stripe that can be tagged onto the word. You had a candidate for president calling another candidate and his millions of supporters "deplorable" and, my favorite....irredeemable. Let's think about that for a second...millions upon millions upon millions of Americans, and the candidate of their choice described by the opposition candidate as beyond hope for salvation, said salvation being to align with her politically. The interesting part about all that is the 65+ million who voted for that candidate (she won the popular vote I'm told) were perfectly fine with that narrative, feeling apparently that the moral high ground was theirs. Or, held their nose figuring their candidate was better than the other guy...as is the nature of politics. It is what it is, but racism it is not. or more broadly....some people might be racists, some may hate NYers, some may hate women, some may have religious bias, but it's virtually impossible to figure out who is who in a landscape where just about anything goes.
  19. The interactions clearly demonstrate over time that the she was the instigator of the hostility and the respondents were counter-trolling her. Hard to say if, upon reflection, they regret their lack of decorum in the calm light of day as they are not highly paid graduates of Harvard with a cushy gig spouting hate speech at the NYT.
  20. They make a Land Rover in a hybrid?
  21. It's probably just me, but what I see is a whole boatload of chairs in a really nice looking building. When I got to New Era, I see pretty much the same thing. Perhaps there are better amenities, maybe a chick fila or Shlotskys deli there, but I don't really get the fuss. I've been to a few stadiums, saw the Bills play at Gillette a few times (spoiler alert...they lost) and Gillette is architecturally more pleasing but I'm not Frank Lloyd Wright so it's not a hot button issue for me. If there is a functional obsolescence issue, fine, deal with it one way or the other, but I like out stadium.
  22. I'm really pissed about the leading with the helmet' call on Jerry Hughes on 10/29 against the Pat's. Who calls that in the 4th quarter with the game on the line?? And with Hughes not even being on the field it seems even worse! This is #$@@ing bull#!@$. (just want to get a jump on it)
  23. There is an arch-support specialist in the Albany area well-known for his expertise. He works (or did at the time) with some high profile clients, and former NBAer John Starks credited him with extending and improving his career. I was there with my kids, and we talked for a while about the impact he felt he could have on a playe like Aaron Schobel as he was having his issues with plantar fasciitis at the time. He told me that he worked with many professional athletes and teams, but that the Bills didn't see value in that sort of thing. He felt that there were some things that he could do to help AS but it was probably never going to happen. As as we were leaving, there was a rather large box over off to the side with the last name "Diehl" on it, and I asked if it was for David Diehl of the NYG. He just smiled and said he worked with lots of professional athletes. Anyway, it's awesome to see and hear about the Pegs willingness to commit substantial time, money and effort into WNY.
  24. That interview was troubling to watch. He was all over the place, was clearly traumatized by his imprisonment, and his experience sounded like it was right out of a Robert Ludlum novel. You have to wonder if it happens to one high profile non-compliant individual, what's happening to people without the star power?
  25. How did you go from "the point of the post" to a 10,000 word essay on past transgressions, your time as a job placement counselor, adult novelty items and ball sucking? Even for a message board that's some next generation chaotic spitballing.
