I just hope for a civil and spirited contest, and most certainly hope that if anyone feels uncertain about their role in the game, body image or just whatever—that someone gets ejected to make things more holistic. Healing is feeling.

You sound sorta thin-skinned to be honest. I read many of your threads back and forth with DR and you didn’t seem all that fearful of being “driven out of here”. Any reasonable reader picking up a topic might well conclude you were the offending party. As for seeking to gather others to help you in your quest to call the man out, three thoughts: 1. Being the guy who tells the other guys where the torches and pitchforks are hidden doesn’t mean you’re not part of a larger problem; 2. Unless you’re brand 🤬ing new as of this very moment, if you haven’t seen countless posters taking shots at the guy, often in what appears to be a coordinated fashion, welcome to this country and all the best on learning the language and all the subtleties contained therein; 3. Even if you personally believe that something is a conspiracy theory, why do you care? Ignore it. Move on. Consider that you might be a tad condescending in calling out what someone else may believe. Hell we’ve got morons running about thinking the FBI just had a bad day when they sought to unseat The President. True story—after some $#@*bird whined the last time (and for God’s sake what a weasel that person is), I suggested the old saying “When you lie down with dogs, you might get fleas” might well be one he wanted to revisit. As @Buffalo_Gal has said many times, DR seems at times to have the patience of Job. This comes from a person, btw, who enjoys reading some of your thoughts on certain issues.

Sensitive soul, grow a pair...it’s like East Coast v West Coast rap. We’re like Tupac and Biggie.

I have some family members I told about PPP a few years ago when I started posting. I specifically told them about Greg, because at the time he was posting quite a bit about Russia and DJT. I really struggle sometimes understanding the things that get you bounced. I understand fully it’s a private site, but just looking at some of the $#@& posted since DJT was diagnosed, it really doesn’t seem like it’s a civility standard. When the word filters down on DRs status and/or when he’s returning (if) I’d appreciate if those who know him well shared what you found out. PM is fine.

Wow, you’re a sensitive soul.

Nope, I can’t do it. I cannot accept a second apology when I have already rejected the first. I ask that you cease and desist any further mention of apologies or sympathy in any form. I can’t have it. I sincerely wanted to know who you were referencing “others”. I am sorry if that was was not clear—and don’t even think about rejecting my apology. I will not take it back.

Which “others”? The ones struggling to survive financially, or the financially entitled unaffected by a shutdown of the economy? Like many others, I received my school tax bills last month. The only mention of COVID was that the town offices was in regard to severely reduced hours of service to take the payment. No deferral option, not payment plan, just “pay the &$@@ing bill.” The way I see that is you pay 100% for roughly 40% of the services.

Hey Mupps- I don’t think it’s ironic at all, and I wouldn’t expect him to say anything to his supporters at all beyond what he has said or done previously. You have the tale of two leaders here. One believes we have to learn to live with the risks associated with everyday living, get back to work and that extended and prolonged shut downs are a dangerous thing. He said as recently as Tuesday night that the virus was dangerous for the vulnerable and not so much for others. He lead a national response to the pandemic, inviting titans of business to work on a vaccine, increasing availability of PPE, he oversaw the retrofitting of a ship and sent it to the epicenter of a badly managed crisis. The other leader avoids any reasonable amount of press conferences, questions from the press and stays largely out of the public eye. He leads nothing, has no responsibilities that come with the office, he speaks of perpetually hunkering down and near as I can tell, no CEO or company in the private sector has reached out to him for any feedback or advise during this crisis. One leader comes from the private sector where if you don’t work, move and take risks, you die or become irrelevant. The other leader comes for a world of entitlements and guarantees, where just showing up assures you of income and benefits and the power to destroy your enemies. In his world, setting back and settling in makes perfect sense, no harm no foul no problem no hit to the checkbook. One leader is over 70 and sees himself as young and vibrant, the other seems to be afraid of his own shadow. The ironic thing to me is that we have a highly contagious virus and fret all day about people getting the virus. If DJT struggles with the virus, it’s the virus, not some cosmic ironic event.

This is a very well written post, and personally I am sorry to see you go. Quite some time ago I got a warning point for an admittedly dopey post to another poster. It wasn’t mean-spirited from my perspective and when I inquired as to why I received it, the mod answered me quickly, I reached out to the poster I referred to and apologized. He indicated he wasn’t offended and didn’t even notice the post. No big deal from point given, mod or other poster—but it’s always fascinated me when I read posts on the main board and wonder if points are given out like candy at Halloween. I think you contribute a lot to the board and am sorry to see you go. Having read many of your posts, I’m not sure what lands you in the sin bin, you’ve always been respectful and seem like a very decent guy.

Look man, lots of fine upstanding libs were outraged by The Donald and those who voted for him. Lies...allegations of inappropriate behavior...racism...corruption...taxes etc etc. Then, as if in a Hollywood script, they flocked to Biden...a man rejected several times by dem voters for....lies....plagarism...racist comments and behavior and inappropriate behavior with women and children. They can vote for Joe, it’s their call, they are just full of 🤬 . I just find it funny as hell.

From your lips to Gods ear—It’s tough but it’s got to be done—we have to discuss Biden’s many, many racially insensitive comments, his well-documented thoughts on criminal justice reform, his tendency to grope women and children, and the like.

Presidential Debates 2020
leh-nerd skin-erd replied to B-Man's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
My goodness what a whiner. The average talking head pseudo-journalist is very skilled in interrupting people, talking over people and demanding answers. It’s a common technique, it disarms people, it gets them off their game and is designed to screw with their train of thought. Wallace does it himself. Anyone who “prepared” for a Biden debate or interview knows he is very good in that setting. Anyone who prepared for a debate involving Trump knows he is very comfortable throwing shots and will not back down. Wallace is really just another weak talking head with little heart. —Actually, a very good example of the application of the technique came today in the WH press room. Reporter asks question in a reasonable enough fashion. Press Secretary answers, reporter follows up, Press Secty begins to answer again and reporter immediately and continuously talks over the Preaa Secty. On and on it goes. There is no desire for an answer, just an opportunity for the reporter to talk over Press Secty in the hopes she breaks her stride, gets mixed up or loses her cool. -
Presidential Debates 2020

Nah. Some like it, some don’t. The diff in reporting and outrage thereafter was Ryan was a R who looked like a surprised 10th grader, and was viewed as politics. Biden Is D, who 8 years ago would never have allowed himself to be batted around like he was, looked like an old guy who couldn’t keep his thoughts straight. Now, 50 years of Biden doing this sort of thing is forgotten because Trump outBidened Biden. -

Just wondering your thoughts on advisors, allies and former WH officials unnamed? This is not a national security issue, and there is no reference to guaranteeing anonymity. There isn’t even anything concrete as to what type of advisor, the department they represent or why a former official would not be named. I don’t even doubt that some in the inner circle didn’t like the performance, but this reads like a review of a high school musical ending with hope for a better show on night 2. -

I’m not sure what you’re looking for exists, nor really should. Absent any prior relationship or interaction between the two, it would be fair to say that Biden interrupted Trump and was allowed to do so by the moderator. As the event went on Trump interrupted Biden more than Biden interrupted Trump, and most reasonable viewers got a sense that the moderator was more aggressively corralling Trump than Biden. At the same time, Biden was certainly much more aggressive with respect to disparaging comments, appearing to come at least slightly unhinged and telling Trump to shut up etc. I’ve said before and will again—Biden has built a career on aggressive confrontation with those who challenge him—from debates where’s he interiors and mocks, to voters, to soldiers, to reporters and young women. His base revels in that, they embrace it and think nothing of it. Most times Biden gets away with it because he’s a very powerful guy, no one from the MSM, his party or his base questions him on it. Biden is and has always been a blowhard and a bully. It’s why he was rejected by sensible Dem voters back when they care about such things. Trump knows who Biden is, his tactics, his tendency for gaffes and racially insensitive comments, and met him at the opening bell and swung hard and often. For all the talk about Trump being aggressive with Biden, all he did was act like Biden. I think Trump also knows that moderators typically lean left, knew where this was likely to go and forged ahead. Wallace was ridiculed from all sides today, from overly sensitive to Biden and overly gracious to Trump, to weak and biased. So, that side of the story become much ado about Wallace, and as time goes on people will move on. Finally, from Trumps perspective, Biden is the enemy. He had a seat at the table with Obama as they set about to destroy Trump and his family with absurd allegations and innuendo. He was knuckles deep in the Russia hoax, and he has no respect for Biden at all. So, no respect for an opponent who has a history of aggressive and confrontational behavior, and little respect for the moderator. I prefer a kinder and gentler interaction, but you reap what you sow. -

Trump Bidened Biden. After the debate with Paul Ryan, where Biden's interrupting style was so widely noted that they did an SNL skit on it, Trump simply super-sized the Biden approach. I don't like the style from either side, generally find debates a waste of time, but Biden famously made Ryan look like a deer in the headlights. Biden interrupted, made derogatory comments and seemed frustrated enough that Wallace had to remind him what the question was, but seemed entirely unprepared for the tactic. I think Joe Biden from even four years ago is able to handle it without getting turned around. At one point as i recall he talked about dead people being out of work. -
No experience with scooters, but I know a Renaissance Man when I see one. Only suggestion is get liability insurance if you can. If you’re tooling along at 14 mph and your saddle bag catches the little old lady in the hip, you’re on the hook dawg.

I certainly hope that’s a deep fake. That “thread” is very thick unless the suit was stitched together with hemp twine.
