I purposely avoid communicating with you, mostly because I think you have the capacity to contribute but you’re impulsive and default to stupidity more often than not. I find that sad, and truthfully, a tad pathetic. If, however, that’s the message you took from my post, that Trump is the victim—-the 45th president of the United States, a man with no prior political experience who defeated an entrenched R establishment, the Bush family with 12 years of presidential service, connections to the CIA, the entire D party and the heir apparent to Barrack Obama, she a former senator, sec state and former first lady, and has beaten the dems, the FBI and DOJ at every turn for 4 years—-I may have overestimated your capacity to contribute.

The concept of civility in the public debate is an illusion. DJT was laughed at, scorned and ridiculed by his opponents inside his party, and reviled, insulted and accused of blatant racism by those on the other side of the aisle. Hillary Clinton, she of enablement of a predatory husband fame, she of a “don’t believe that bimbo she’s a *****“ fame, she of leaving Americans to die in Libya fame and participating in a cover up thereafter, well her opening gambit in the debate was “he’s a bigot, xenophobe, assaulter of women and worse”. I ask you, child of the 60s, were you outraged? Did you call for unity, peace and love from her and key members of her party? Brett Kavanaugh, by all accounts a more than decent public servant and with a record of 30+ years of excellence in the bench and an outstanding intellectual pedigree, when the entire democrat leadership attempted to eviscerate him in front of the nation, his wife and the two little girls who look up to him as a hero, did you rage over the treatment and demand civility? Were you frustrated, kind and decent neighbor to the north, as you watched the Russia investigation unfold, play out before the eyes of the world where a political enemy screamed “Donald Trump is a treasonous bastard!” with a story so preposterous that it unraveled in about 20 minutes even as the insane kabuki theater raged on for nearly 4 years? I bet, given your love of history and protocol, you were probably incensed that political operatives conspired to steal the votes of 60,000,000+ decent and hard-working Americans, and were so &$#@ing incompetent in the scheme that quite literally 4 years, $40,000,000 and limitless investigative and police powers revealed...nothing. I could go on, but I’m sure you’re as angry as I am at the mockery made of civility, tolerance, protocol and respect for the party and candidate the American people chose to lead the country. I’m sure that Trump’s incredible and historic jobs numbers, the repatriation of massive sums by corporations that gave the big fu to unreasonable and excessive taxation, the tax cuts returning money to middle-class families, the BOOMING economy that benefits nit only the US but virtually every other nation standing in the shadows with a hand out...none of that means a thing. Better to have a president that speaks respectfully to his enemy, and to turn the other cheek as the entirety of dem leadership lies, cheats, steals with nary a civil word to be said. Now Covid19. Are you seeing civility from Biden, Sanders, Pelosi et al? I’m hearing that they are sparking up the next investigation, the next flim flam, the next bull#### investigation that will cost millions, provide their dopey supporters with another reason to hope for the destruction of a lawfully elected president—enemies all of freedom and democracy and protocol—only to end up in the same place they are today. Losers, betrayed by their leadership, betrayed by the facts, left to be punched around here by logic and inevitability. Civility is overrated.

It wasn't so much the threat of being fired, it was the outright character assasination and suggestion he was the agent of a hostile foreign government, the threat of imprisonment, and the obvious danger it put he and his family in from nut jobs who believed he was guilty of treason. You watched and supported it from the leaders of the opposition party and when the narrative blew up, you simply shrugged your shoulders and accepted that the assault on our democratic principles was necessary to propogate your world view. Nothing happens in a vacuum and to the extent the failed attempts to remove him from office distracted from anything, the blood is on the hands of Pelosi, Schumer Shiff, Nadler and to a lesser degree,people just like you. Trump is a national treasure.

How did a media giant like NYT so badly miss the outcome of the Russia investigation? Mega-access to insiders,no need to worry about reprisals as all sources are anonymous, yet they missed...everything. Incompetence or are they a dark site?

What’s changed for you, Transplant? Since day one, when he was elected? Did you allow yourself any pause for consideration of any accomplishment(s) by Team Trump since 2016? Did you consider any actions by the opposition party...Adam Schiff, Pelosi, Schumer...Russia, Mueller vindication, SC nominee Kavanaugh and his treatment by his enemies, the Ukraine, harmful to his agenda? Were those actions undertaken for the good of Country, or political gain? On that note, where was the Washington Post on any of those issues? On FBI malfeasance, on sources (anonymous or otherwise) inside and outside govt that pointed to early and obvious issues with FISA abuse, with exculpatory evidence withheld, and in general terms...any reporting pre-Mueller release that indicated that all wrongdoing that occurred with respect to the debacle had nothing to do with Trump and everything to do with those prosecuting the case? I’m thinking they were on the wrong side of that particular story from day one. They misread the tea leaves, apparently harvested intel from the wrong “anonymous sources”, and as a result came to the wrong conclusions. The only question thereafter is “Were they incompetent, or complicit”? Then again—you’re the WaPo guy, were they nuts on with FBI abuses early on, by say mid-year 2016?

This is painful to unbundle. President Trump stumbled into saving hundreds of thousands of lives because he and his admin recognized a hot spot and suddenly enacted racist travel restrictions, and the Dems and MSM were just benignly "wrong" when proclaiming that life as usual was the order of the day? First, it sounds horrible and it's good to hear he's recovering. It sounds awful, being beaten like a pinata, or what it must feel like after you were thrown down a flight of stairs. I agree there may be more to the story, but I’m not sure what the bad guys being armed has to do with it. Seems to me working backwards, the idea is the clerk had three legal options: 1. Ask the thieves to leave in a loud, but firm voice. No profanity allowed; 2. Remain huddled in the “secure” room in the store, which ironically, was within the larger secured smoke shop before the thieves breached the premises. One can assume the thieves would honor the sanctity of that second secured room, because cash and valuables are always kept in the first area breached; 3. Flee the premises, because the “juvenile suspects” effectively controlled it, and there could never, ever be any additional suspects at any other entrance/exit, and everyone knows it. Finally, everyone knows if you ask a guy/guys if they are armed as they break into your store, it’s common courtesy for them to reply honestly, and absent firearms, there is literally no harm that can befall you when three young men break into your store. For what it’s worth, I’m not a gun owner, I own a business and I would take my chances leaving through the back door/window if possible and sensible. I encourage my employees to do the same. I can always get more stuff. I would not, however, shelter in place at 430am with the hope that the three criminals would give me a fair shake if I had another option involving a firearm, knife, hand grenade or machete. The nature of criminals is that they tend to view crime in a favorable light. I’d assume it was them or me, probably because my only real option would be the machete.
