  1. Doesn't have much to do with the quality of the iPhone. I had pre-iPod MP3 players--at least 2. They sucked. When I got that first scroll-wheel iPod, it was 1000000 better than anything out there, and it changed the MP3 game. That wasn't marketing. The iPhone, when it came out, was the first workable touchscreen device of its type at the consumer level. To deny that it changed the game would be foolish. Again, it wasn't marketing that made the market follow. It was a superior product. the iPad was late to the tablet game, and is just a big iPhone, so maybe there it was superior marketing that makes it #1. Still--as it's built on the same iTunes/app store/iPhone platform that is Apple's backbone, it's a really good product. So far, all the other tablets are coming up short, including even Amazon's Fire, which is getting buried with bad reviews despite its high sales numbers. Apple will no doubt stumble (Apple TV comes to mind) but at the moment, it's got a lot more winners than losers.
  2. "School." Cincinnati hasn't cared about it's hoops player's educations in forever.
  3. You'll love it. There's a reason that tech-savvy and tech-unsavvy people love the iPhone. Sometimes you get to be #1 just because you're the best.
  4. Huggins created that absurd excuse for a "program" at Cincinati. Here's a nice synopsis: When he signed at KState, he got an 800K bonus if he didn't do anything to jeopardize the university's reputation. Basically, a "don't Joe Paterno us over a child rapist and you'll get a million bucks" clause. Both schools should be tossing kids off the team immediately for the violence and postgame comments. But just like at Penn State, the programs' survivals are too important to the "schools."
  5. This is what happens when gay men pick the 10 hottest women--they pick an attractive but sexless woman as number 1.
  6. I'm tech savvy and have no complaints about my iPhone 4. Works all the time. No problems. No bloatware. Videos suck on all phones but no doubt some are better. You'll have to shop for the best with that feature but...good luck. People are saying they don't like the iPhone because you can't tinker as much. I guess. I can't imagine what features are so critical on a droid that you can't get on an iPhone. Both are fine...get which one feels right. Going iPhone probably means committing to the iborg though. If you haven't done that yet, make sure you're ready for the good(apple stuff is pretty awesome) with the bad (less choices of hardware...locked into Apple in the future).
  7. Brian Moorman is on pace to shatter his career average yards/punt record. He shouldn't go anywhere. Like when people bash Fitz, this team has plenty of actual problems...punter isn't one. This team will get better, if only because injuries are destroying them this season.
  8. I guess when I think of Elite, I figure the guy's a probable future HOFer. On that basis, only Brady, Rodgers, Brees, and P.Manning are elite. Fitz is good, especially considering the dearth of talent on the line and at WR. Among the many concerns I have about this team, QB is down the list after LT, RT, C(unless Wood is OK), G, WR2, DE, DE (unless Williams is OK), OLB, OLB, ILB, SS, FS, DB, DB. But hey, let's talk about QB problems.
  9. V-Ger was sent on a mission to boldly go where no MAN has gone before.
  10. Why are the Bills bad? 2000 Erik Flowers Arizona State Defensive End 2001 Nate Clements Ohio State Defensive Back 2002 Mike Williams Texas Tackle 2003 Willis McGahee Miami (FL) Running Back 2004 Lee Evans Wisconsin Wide Receiver 2004 J.P. Losman Tulane Quarterback 2005 No 1st Round Pick, Roscoe Parrish (2nd Round) Miami (FL) Wide Receiver 2006 Donte Whitner Ohio State Safety 2006 J ohn McCargo North Carolina State Defensive Tackle 2007 Marshawn Lynch California Running Back 2008 Leodis McKelvin Troy Defensive Back 2009 Aaron Maybin Penn State Defensive End/Outside Linebacker 2009 Eric Wood Louisville Center How's that for a nightmare decade. Some of those guys were decent players, but only Wood and McKelvin are still on the team and McKelvin only barely.
  11. MAybe you didn't see Aaron Maybin in Buffalo. You know what he'd be doing as a Bills player? The same thing he did for the last 3 years. If you think that by the end of his contract, Aaron Maybin would have been a good player, you're loco.
  12. Eagles 2012 regime will make resigning him a priority.
  13. Fitz is 4th in the NFL in completion % and 6th in TDs. He's also 4th in INTs (ugh). He's in the middle of the pack in avg yards/pass and /game. And mid-pack in attempts. He's done a lot with sparse talent. He's got a TE who can't block. He's played with 3 centers. He's had 3 LTs. His LG has changed 3 times. He's been without a legit #2 WR all season and his #1 WR can be spotty. His WRs can't beat anyone deep (which may be good news since Fitz lacks the time and inclination to go long anyways). Fitz is not the problem on offense, even though he's had a few bad games. Like everywhere, the Bills have holes to fill on offense but QB is not one. Spiller is still under evaluation. He had no chance to run wide since every team knows he wants to. The 3-4 times he went outside, he was stuffed easily. His 1st half runs between tackles were stupid-looking. He ran into his own blockers multiple times. But as the game went on, he looked better. With more carries, he stopped dancing and trying to bounce everything outside. A couple times, his between-tackle runs almost broke for huge gains. I watched his blocking a bunch and he didn't pancake anyone like Freddy but he picked up a couple rushers and at least didn't get blown away. He's no Fred Jackson but the Jets are a damn good team. Since this season is over as far as playoffs go, and the Bills have no other option, I'm glad we get a bunch of games to look at CJ.
  14. Draft needs. D line. Linebacker. O line. Groundhog Day! Fitz threw the one pass on the run behind Johnson. Whatever. With no running game, a shaky line, and one starting WR, he almost beat the Jets. He gets more than a pass from me. If the Bills put pressure on Sanchez one time today, maybe Fitz wins. Play caling on the blitz that Sanchez completed to Burress? A joke. No pass rush all day and Sanchez can't do dick...then they go all out blitz and leave Williams on an island with Burress. I hate George Edwards, year 2. Is it possible to hate Maybin more? Why yes, it is. $&@# I hate that little $&@#er.
  15. The Bills draft needs are the same as last year. O and D line, and linebacker. Skill positions can wait.
  16. That's not going to help. Just got the vtext. I'll be curious to see Spiller get the load though, since this season is about toast at this point anyways.
  17. Can Brad Smith play defense? He can't do anything else.
  18. Rodgers. Brees. Brady. Pretty good company with a makeshift line and unknown WRs. Hahaha. Shepard was not bad in coverage there. Bush is crazy fast. Good throw. Bills defense in the house!
  19. Pop quiz: Name the NFL QBs more accurate than Fitz. There are 3.
  20. Once I didn't pay my landlord and she got after me. http://sjl.funnyordie.com//v1/view_video.p...24c7d2583be6925
