  1. Stupid, sloppy mistakes by a sloppy, lazy leader. I don’t mind because I have youth on my side. But man, this is tough for people drawing from IRAs and those close to retirement.
  2. Hollins and speed, I hope. I wouldn’t rule out a Beane surprise, like trading a roster WR.
  3. It’s less than I thought he’d get. Two years GTD at 20.5m per and the opportunity to earn probably another 15m per on the back end, depending on structure. His injury history must have spooked some people. Or he really wanted the combo of weather and Gannon.
  4. They have the same value as a measles vaccine not taken.
  5. Take care of the franchise. He’s the most important player in this thread. He’s also getting married in May. Maybe this takes the uncomfortable prenup issue out of play since he’s pocketing $250m before the wedding. This is at least second hand, but I heard that his dad has been pretty direct with him regarding matters of this nature. So it wouldn’t surprise me if Josh wanted the extension as much as the Bills wanted to lock him up.
  6. They’re cooked. Minimal risk. And, if anything bad comes of it, we can cure them with a pinch of HCQ, right?
  7. Unless you get the eggs from somewhere else where bird flu isn’t an issue. Or if we allow I chilled eggs to be cooked and used in processed food so that ore chilled eggs could hit the market. But it’s hard to accomplish those things from the golf course. That’s what Trump said. He either lied or has failed.
  8. Maybe, maybe not. It’s hard to say. I suspect she would have attempted to address the issue more aggressively than trump. Maybe relaxing the FDA rule re salmonella would help. Or maybe importing more eggs would help. But ultimately none of that matters because Trump is in charge, campaigned on the issue, and is simultaneously golfing and failing to get anything done about it. Yeah those folks at the VA threatened with job cuts are loving life. As are the trailer MAGA having to choose between cigarettes and eggs. It’s swell for them. Speaking of dogs, with egg prices so high, what are those Haitians eating in Ohio these days? Are SPCAs there still food banks? Or was that just another Trump hoax.
  9. I love Matt Judon. I don't know how much tread is left. Hendrickson is my favorite too. I'm with you on Sweat. He's the best FA of the bunch, but I don't know if he's worth the cost (particularly with two of our own guys, Cook and Benford, still to be paid).
  10. From the group that wants a cap on credit card interest (a bird of the same feather) and that promised a fix for inflation on "day one." Who knew the fix was making us realize that inflation prior to Trump 2.0 actually could have been a lot worse?
  11. Hard pass on Chase Young. I'm not against the Reddick idea depending on price. A reasonable price on Reddick might allow us to double dip in FA on DL.
  12. Not so well. Inflation is up. Market is down. Job losses in the private sector are up. Grocery prices are largely up. Energy prices are up. New home prices are up.
  13. Huge discount. He could have done 12 years $1b (stacked at back end) and it would have been reasonable.
  14. The NFL MVP just signed a six-year deal with us at what appears to be below market value. It’s a huge day.
  15. Me too. They draft young guys with tools and upside in round 1.
  16. I don't disagree, but I have been of the view that it was an either or situation with Von and AJE.
  17. Low pass rush win rate. I'm not so sure. He's an aces human being--great guy--but they might think they can upgrade.
  18. Hoax. The measles outbreak is attributable to the high percentage of unvaccinated persons in the counties where the outbreak is occurring.
  19. Hence the use of the word “too” in the post to which you responded. Try to keep up. And try not to play as much golf as Trump. While the country needs “saving.”
  20. I thought America needs saving? Isn’t that what trump said? Seems like we might be in bad shape too.
  21. Then don't live in Illinois. Or vote them out. In the meantime, none of that excuses the idiocy of Trump tariffs and taxes on working people.
  22. Yup. As far as the steel goes, it probably is more expensive because there have been relatively longstanding tariffs on that product (traceable, if I understand correctly, to the threat of foreign dumping to destroy that domestic industry). However, in view of the fact that there's $850m in public funding for this project, it's not unfair to demand that those monies be spent on union labor and domestic materials. Right now, yes. But if the tariffs hit, it's highly unlikely to make anything cheaper at the project, and more likely to increase the price.
  23. Inflation. The threat has been (it was made to me) that "Toronto" will buy them all. Likely empty, and I bought anyway. But certain news items of late may dampen the enthusiasm of purchasers from that area.
