  1. Hmmm. Maybe if you articulated your commie criteria I could respond to this. But otherwise I’m stuck believing that your claims that others are commies are just hoaxes designed to conceal your own communist proclivities.
  2. I think it’s coming. No post convention bounce for Trump. Persuadable voters basically don’t exist. Trump campaign knows this; hence the hard right break to the base, the attempt to stifle the (largely Democratic) absentee ballot through the USPS shenanigans, and the nosing around of other efforts to disrupt the election (e.g., stationing federal marshals at polling places). His path right now is to hope that Biden screws it up and loses it (a reasonable chance, given Biden’s history) or to steal it. But even on September 1 I think we’re passing the point where he can win it.
  3. This is a really good point. “The polls” were late to the Trump undercurrent in 2016. I think they might have the opposite problem this time through. I suspect that the universe of likely voters is too small in a lot of these polls (because we’re going to have heretofore unseen turnout), and the “unexpected voters” will break heavily for Biden.
  4. That trash came in from out of town. The gentleman with the knife probably will find himself away from home for a little while longer once his criminal proceeding concludes.
  5. How come the police didn’t shoot that dude with the knife on Hertel Avenue over the weekend? He was a threat. By your logic they should have emptied the clip in him, right?
  6. I was looking for some new stuff to cancel this morning. Bought every can of Goya at Tops on the way to work. Every, Single. One. Got the car and realized that I have Goodyear tires. So I slashed my own tires. Now the NFL wants to do something crazy like stand for equal rights? Eff that. I’m done.
  7. There you go again with your hoaxes. In point of fact, you’re another one of the suspected commies. FYI. Also, maybe if you would share your tips for identifying the communist arsonists who cause you to tremble in fear, then I would have a more accurate picture of who may and may not be a communist, which in turn might allow me to remove your name from commie suspicion. (On the other hand, maybe you don’t want to share your tips because you are a commie and you don’t want to be outed. Such difficult times in which we live!)
  8. You miscounted. It was two. One in particular.
  9. FYI, based on the unchallenged criteria at the outset of this thread, all three of you are suspected commies. Just so you know.
  10. Because it promotes bigotry and xenophobia. Is there a need to add a geographic qualifier? Absolutely not. So why use it? To stoke fear and demonize an ethnic group.
  11. And the question asked about “now,” that is, the present. Not last year.
  12. Many of you have claimed expertise in identifying communists in general and communist arsonists in particular. I have asked for tips and insight to improve my own ability to identify communists and communist arsonists. Unfortunately nobody was forthcoming with such advice. Surely this is just because the “experts” in this area are secretive, and not because they’re making this “communist arsonist” issue up out of thin air. So I had to do my own research. It turns out that these are telltale signs of communists: *uses unusual language; *clings to ideals without being willing to question them; *condemns American institutions; *picks on insignificant events for criticism; *secretive; and *belongs to groups exploiting controversial subjects. Over the weekend I identified a couple of guys who fit the criteria. They use unusual language (racial slurs), cling to stupid ideas (racism), condemn at least one American institution (the First Amendment), pick on an insignificant event for criticisms (a bunch of people walking and talking about equal rights), secretive (they don’t have name tags on, right?), and belong to a group exploiting controversial subjects (they left their red hats in the car, but they have them). They’re pictured here: Discuss. Oh, and also, applying those criteria, I think that some of you might be communists. FYI.
  13. It is. It’s a racist canard. It fans bigotry, prejudice, and fear. If you decide to use it, that’s on you. It’s disappointing that you’re not better than that. One of the key words in the question is “now.” So are we better off “now” than we were four years ago? Your “prior to COVID” qualification implies that we are not? And, if I could ask, for whom is the economy booming? For Wall Street? Or Main Street? Or both? Border wall funding is a prime example.
  14. Morning update. Still no fires here. Also no smoke on the horizon. Went for a run this morning. Air doesn't smell like Flynndication. But it does smell fresh. And not smoky. More later (assuming my house isn't burned by communist arsonists today).
  15. I know that not everything is racist. But I also know that "Wuhan virus" is racist. Maybe one day you will stop blowing that dog whistle. Your views on Hillary are interesting. Maybe they're right. But we'll never know. Bottom line, though: in your opinion, Trump's America is a complete mess.
  16. That’s a lot of conspiracy theory in one paragraph. Impressive . I guess.
  17. Sparky, eh? Channeling you inner jerky boys tonight. Better than blowing your racist dog whistle, I suppose.
  18. And yet you can't answer the question. Or won't. Because you know the answer. The lives of Americans are not better now than they were four years ago. It's not about saying what you want. It's about basic reading comprehension. As in, don't answer about your personal circumstances, but answer for the country as a whole. In this instance, it's you. The best way for you not to be a racist is to not say stupid, racist things.
  19. Teeny tiny difference between Allen and Fromm. Just a bit.
  20. Hoax. There is no platform. Other than to "enthusiastically support President Trump." Republicans used to stand for country. Now they stand for nothing. Besides fealty. How pathetic.
  21. Hmmm. Care to share the platform with me? Or is it true that it doesn’t exist?
  22. If you’re “regime” point had water you’d call it something with “Beijing” in the name. But you didn’t.
  23. Hoax. It doesn’t exist. The party literally stands for nothing, except fealty to Donald Trump. That’s pathetic. Discuss.
