  1. Or those kids who sang that MMMMMMMM Bop song....They were called Hanson
  2. A 4th round pick labeled a bust after 13 games and he's not even a starter? Sure, why not cut him tomorrow and draft another center next year. Give him an offseason and a solid look in preseason...if he doesnt show progress, then you can possibly label him a gamble and a loss. I dont know many teams who bank on that 4th round pick to be a starter their rookie year. Bust is a term reserved for players who were drafted to be stars and flop harder than a fat guy off a diving board, i.e. Ryan Leaf, Brian Bosworth, Akili Smith, Rashan Salaam, Erik Flowers, Lawrence Phillips, and the list goes on
  3. Not saying any coach is pro nonsense, but some coaches are more strict than others and this team could use a bit more discipline. And yeah I know most coaches want their own guys, "The Good Old Boy" system and I can understand that. So let me rephrase this a bit, I would hope that the next coaching canidate would seriously consider keeping the aforementioned coaches on board, the biggest one being April
  4. Mike Gandy and Bennie Anderson FTW!!!! Seriously though....there is a lack of options on the OL Free agent market this offseason. The players who are good and in contract years will most likely stay with their current teams unless someone is willing to pay them out landish money...
  5. I agree 100% here with you. Sadly, posey was brought in to be a pass rusher, but our defense has him doing anything but that. If we had the Dline to play 3-4 I would love for us to make the switch because we definately have the linebackers for it.
  6. Wasn't Ryan Leaf deemed a once in a lifetime pick??? At this point I would say no, we have a young QB with potential(ugh, the dreaded P word) I dont think anyone coming out in this draft at QB is going to make the bills a better team. Lines and Depth should seriously be the focus of this draft, but that is just the way I see it. With that said, I think the steal of the draft at QB is going to be Jay Cutler and/or Bruce Gradkowski
  7. LOL I'll provide the camera if TBD promises to show the movie on the website
  8. did you read the whole post or just the first paragraph...
  9. George frequents the Buffalo Niagara Int' on almost a biweekly basis for a 5 dollar beer and to see if anyone recognizes him....he's definately no master of disguise
  10. I'm mean, I've heard of him, he played on the Bills during the 90's. He was a pretty good DE and he knows how to play football. Or we could bring back Mark Kelso...if he wore that crazyhelmet on the sidelines while coaching...that would sell tickets. Seriously though, randomly picking a name out of Bills history because they were a good player and saying, "I'd watch more Bills games if he were the coach..." or "He knows football so he has to be a good coach." News flash, every single player in the NFL knows how to play football, and is reasonably good at it or else they wouldnt be in the NFL (even though numerous bills players seem to have proved me wrong on that statement this year). right now, how many HC's or even coordinators in the league were star players? Not many, so I'm not seeing the logic in bringing a star player to coach. If, and this a major if, there were one former Bill right now that I would consider for any type of a coaching job it would be Alex Van Pelt, and most likely nothing more than a QB coach/Assistant Coach. Anyone who has listned to Alex on the radio will most likely agree with me on this. What this team lacks/needs more than anything right now is a coach who'll instill a little bit of fear in them when they act like idiots or give em a swift kick in the ass when they are on the field taking plays off. We also need a coach who on 3 and 10 with the game on the line isnt going to take his star players off the field and run a draw with the change of pace back. right now, with possibly the exception of Sam Wyche, I dont see anyone on the current staff who fits that description. The only problem is, I don't see any coaches that are avaliable that fit that description right now. Truthfully, after we fired GW, Tom Coughlin was the guy I wanted to fill that job more than anyone...however, he wanted nothing to do with Buffalo and now I can see why. so I cant name a coach that I really want to see in Buffalo, but I have the credentials I would like to see in the next. 1. Strong Leader/motivator 2. No nonsense attitude 3. Previous head coaching experience (not necessarily NFL, but extremely preferred) 4. Not afraid to discuss football with the media 5. Cold weather experience (odd request I know) 6. Is willing to keep Bobby April, Krumrie, McNally, and Wyche on the staff. Well, I'm ready to stand back and let you all priase or crucify me here, but I do want to see some serious HC prospect ideas, other than JJ (his hair wouldnt survive a Buffalo winter).
  11. Parrish is better than Brown as in the fact Antonio couldnt catch the ocean falling from a boat... However, they are both those quick little guys that try to make huge plays on punt returns by running every which way except upfield. Parrish is a little better at making his initial move upfrield, but they both try way to hard to return every kick for 6. I do think Parrish become a much better returner during this offseason and upcoming preseason, I think that injury really set him back from getting a good feel of how fast the special teams game is in the NFL. I also agree there were much better picks to be had in the second round though, than a slot WR/KR.
  12. Tedy Bruschi is all over that soon as he wins the Super Bowl
  13. Though I wont disagree with the Mauck comment...since he does look like a giant slobbering saint bernard, but the only way you can channel a spirit is if the person is dead. cmon get with the paranormal science man....
  14. Maybe we could conjure up the spirit of Tom Landry and channel it into a Dog to coach the team....since that has about the same amount of a chance as us getting Marv and Mooch
  15. I'm still trying to figure out which is funnier...the two dudes making asses of themselves or the one kid in the background playing a game the whole time as if he oblivious to it. LMAO that was great
  16. Well normally I would say Buffalo would blow them out...then again I think USC has a better line so at this point and time I would bet USC to at least cover the spread
  17. Perhaps it went something like this? TURN AROUND Every now and then I get a little bit open and the ball just goes the other way... TURN AROUND Every now and then I get a little bit helpless without the ball here in my hands... TURN AROUND Every now and then I get a little bit angry cuz my streak is coming to an end... TURN AROUND Every now and then I get a little bit terrified cuz i can't see the look of your eyes... TURN AROUND, JP Every now and then I'm wide open. TURN AROUND, JP Every now and then the line falls apart And I need the ball tonight and I need it more than ever and if I could only hold it tight I'd be holding on forever. And it would only be making it right 'cause I'll never be wrong. Together we can take it to the endzone line. Your throws are like a shadow on me all of the time. I don't know what to do cuz coach left me in the dark. Since I'm not playing tonight, I'll take a walk in the park. I really need Kelly tonight, Holcomb's gotta start tonight, Holcomb's gotta start tonight. Once upon a time I was making the plays, now I'm only the decoy part. There's nothing I can do, a total eclipse of the heart. Once upon a time there was a ball in my hands, but tonight I'll sit here in the dark. Nothing I can say, a total eclipse of the heart.
  18. I'm not suprised by this and most of you shouldnt be...We've all seen how great Josh Reed is playing as the number 2 receiver. Reed is solid in the slot, but not as a flanker. So lets give aiken a shot
  19. I remember Moulds first 2 or 3 seasons he dropped as many passes as he caught. Maybe this start is what Sam needs to get things in gear.... Then again if he sucks, stick him back on STs and leave him there
  20. It was a low budget film...do you think they were going to spend the money to rent the lombardi trophy?
  21. Here are the FA Tackles for 2006. Like the title says there isn't a great selection on the market. Adam Haayer UFA Cardinals Anthony Clement UFA 49ers Barrett Brooks UFA Steelers Barry Stokes UFA Falcons Bob Whitfield UFA Giants Chad Slaughter UFA Raiders Courtney Van Buren RFA Chargers Ephraim Salaam UFA Jaguars Ethan Brooks UFA Cowboys Jeff Backus UFA Lions John St. Clair UFA Bears Jon Runyan UFA Eagles Jordan Black RFA Chiefs Kevin Barry UFA Packers Kevin Shaffer UFA Falcons L.J. Shelton UFA Browns Makoa Freitas RFA Colts Matt Hill UFA Panthers Mike Pearson UFA Jaguars Rex Tucker UFA Rams Scott Gragg UFA Jets Seth Wand RFA Texans Stocker McDougle UFA Dolphins Todd Fordham UFA Panthers Todd Steussie UFA Buccaneers Tom Ashworth UFA Patriots Tony Pashos RFA Ravens Torrin Tucker RFA Cowboys Victor Riley UFA Texans Wayne Hunter RFA Seahawks Salaam, Backus, Runyan, Shaffer, Tucker, Pearson, McDougle look to be the best on the market. Personally, I like Salaam at LT and I think it might be difficult for Jacksonville to resign both Pearson and Salaam. If we could pick up Salaam and move Gandy over to LG we might have the makings of what looks like a solid line: Salaam-Gandy-Preston(though I'm not sold 100% on him yet)-Villarrial-Williams/Peters OR Move big mike to the left side and Salaam to the right I really dont see Buffalo cutting Mike Williams, mainly because of the cap hit and I dont like the idea of moving him to guard, especially with his ankle issues pulling would just be a recipe for disaster. I do agree that he should have his contract restructured this offseason to free up some more money. Well those are my thoughts, have at it....
  22. I actually liked the replacements, not for the great football action, just the mere fact it was at least entertaining
  23. Second String is probably the worst football movie ever made. the only 2 things it had going for it were: 1. The fact the team it was based around was the Buffalo Bills 2. Doug Flutie gets an extremely bad case of food poisoning and is in the hospital (that sold the movie for me, just the fact that mighty midget gets put in the hospital by a bad clam) yeah, this was kinda off topic but oh well. Who else saw this piece of garbage?
