I think it was 1992. The Bills played the Patsies at Rich. Very pedestrian game. Bills won it 17-14 i think. But, I will never forget my first step through the tunnel, seeing the field in person was like love at first sight. One of the memorable experiences was parking my car in some guys back yard in a mud hole. I was having trouble getting out of the mud and a couple of helpful guys came over to push me out. They got coated in mud. My brother leaned over and said "It might help if you took off your emergency brake...Now just wave and say thank you."

I was at my in-laws house in Indiana watching the game. Very discouraged at half-time, I took my time eating dinner. I entered the living room as the Bills scored their first T.D. I said, "They can still win this". Everybody laughed. I should have bet them money. I stayed for the rest of the game. Drove ten hours home, and went to work the next day very tired, but also very pleased. The good old days.

I found a bunch of scrubbing brush bristles (long ones) in my soup at Perkins once. They offered me a cookie. They give every kid in the place one of those cookies for free.

Anything in Upstate NY I could handle. I am a Bills fan because I have always lived in WNY. The same lousy reason I am a St. Bonaventure fan. They are the local team. "Dear Lord, Please don't ever let the Bills leave the greater Buffalo area. Amen" I'm in pain just revisiting the idea.
