  1. >> I will always love my team, I just wish they would stop pissing me off. Amen and hallelujah, Mark! I love them, too, and wish they would stop playing like jackasses.
  2. If anyone wants to hear a hilarious John Madden impression, find (download or whatever) the Madden stuff done by Frank Caliendo. It's brilliant. If they want to mike Ray Lewis, that's why we have a MUTE button on our remotes. I was happy to see the Ravens lose MNF last night.
  3. Ay, laddies! Thumbs down on Mr Wire. RB turned LB turned S... turned sour
  4. Immune to nuclear war, but done in by chicken soup. It's a cruel world, indeed.
  5. >Dogs are great animals. They give unconditional love. The Bills can use some unconditional love! Maybe Mr Wilson will buy the Bills a dog! Can we, huh? Can we?! But seriously folks, I lost a great dog in July, after 12 years of fine service. Cody the Wonder Dog (no relation). Losing our dog made me wonder what it would be like if dogs lived 80 years, just like humans. Think about it for a minute...
  6. Ever since we did Flutie wrong?! You are one goofy MF, bharami. Oh no, we have defied the magical midget! We're billsfanone!
  7. Chris Berman probably never got to call Lauvale's name in a game -- he might have nicknamed him LavaLamp!
  8. TE Trafford is still listed here, too...
  9. I did not read the latest article, but an older article (weeks ago) said that he was also expected to pay back some of his NO Saints bonus money. Is that because the Dolphins absorbed some of that $$$?
  10. If the boo birds start booing during game 1, there are freaking idiots. If they still expect miracles, they should start watching olympic hockey or bowling...
  11. Hey Navy guy, maybe you can address this question I have had. When it is reported that increased activity can be seen around known Al Qaeda camps in Pakistan (near Afghan border), why doesn't someone bomb the living crap out of that area? Is it because it is in Pakistan and their air force lacks punch? How about one of those 30,000-pound MOABs? Gift wrapped, perhaps? We have air bases in Afghanistan, eh?
  12. >> I just forwarded Jerry an on-line job application for the Miami Herald. Good one, 30Dive! There was some chatter here a few months about Jerry Sullivan, stating that he is a basketball guy, who is absolutely LOST when it comes to football. So, he just says (writes) inflammatory things, so people will know he exists. He is just a dork, even looks like one. Some guys just have that look that makes you want to smack them...
  13. I saw it last night, too (heavy homework load last 2 weeks), and it was great. "call the ref by his first name, he'll love you for it" (Lynch) JP Losman looks like a great young player. Very happy he is a Bill. Mularkey is the right man for the job!
  14. NFL. I don't give 2 stevestojans about any other sport. After you've tasted football, the other sports are boring.
  15. The article said that Trafford played more plays than any other TE this pre-season, so it would seem like he has a chance to stick. Can Shelton block? Is Trafford better? Inquiring minds want to know...
  16. Maybe lazy, too. He only started showing up for Arkansas spring drills AFTER he left (don't know if he graduated...) the school for the NFL. That shows a pretty poor attitude, IMO.
  17. Very interesting article on Rod Trafford. As a player, he sounds like Mularkey. He was an all-state QB in high school. If he is a good H-back, could he beat out Shelton for that spot? Do you guys (and gals) think Shelton will make the team? I've read that Shelton has whiffed on a few blocks. Stay tuned.
  18. Schobel is just an OK pass rusher, IMO. Not a guy who should get the big bucks the dominant PRs get. Last year's 11.5 sacks, was it? Did one come against Cinci when Kitna fell down? So Schobel touched him, got a sack. Did 3 of his sacks come against the Giants, who had already run for the bus when we played them? "Sacks" like those inflate his statistics, I believe. I wold keep him at a reasonable cost, but not at the usual overpayment pass rushers get.
  19. Thanks for the first hand report. If last year did not burn us fans badly enough (regarding high expectation), this game will at least dim the hopes of a few optimists. Like me, I guess. Boy, this really sucks to be hit like this before the season even starts.
  20. Phil Ochs - doing a medley of Buddy Holly tunes! Man, those dead guys were so good.
  21. For all you Windows XP users, there are some great FREE utilities at Gibson Research http://www.grc.com/dcom/
  22. Fuggetaboudit! No used couches peed on by Poppie.
  23. I would not give Schobel the kind of huge dollars that a dominant DE would get, because he may get a few sacks, but he is not the type to keep the opposing OCs up late trying to figure how to handle him. And why the H%#^ are you worrying about NEXT years roster, fer chrissake? It's August!
  24. AYE, Laddie! It's great to hear it from one who was there... Although, you know, when Gash was split out wide, at least once he injured the DB who tried to stop him. I would like to see if that play works with Jason Peters!
