  1. At this point in time, WHY would the Bills want to wait 2 weeks before signing Payne? Why not now if you are interested in the guy? It's like they are just hoping someone else will sign him first? It makes no sense to me.
  2. Gee, it's kind of surprising that those folks are wine drinkers - somehow, they just don't fit the profile...
  3. Sorry to hear that, Bart. I lost a 12-yr-old dog last summer. It was my first dog (never had one until I got married), and he set a mighty high standard for any future dogs. It is tough to lose such a friend.
  4. Hello, Louis! It's so nice to have you back where you belong... Sorry, couldn't resist. Wow, how could you resist hopping into this Stadium Wall melee for so long? Especially through the draft and all. Welcome aboard, matey. This can be a real fun place. A bit crazy at times too (in a fun way).
  5. Also from his web site, the Who Said It? section is the quote from some Ohio football person to the NU athletic director, asking if they fed #51 raw meat! It's interesting to see a player with so much intensity. But they say he is a reasonable guy off the field, so it isn't just uncontrolled rage all the time.
  6. I have wondered whether Travis Henry's success in running in 2002, 2003 were due to this pass-happy scheme Kilbride ran. Like Travis ran hard, but maybe the run succeeded because the defense almost always expected a pass??? Who the hell knows?
  7. Hey xsuspendersx: Get a clue, buddy! Your Draft Doug Flutie movement failed in 1985 (Bills took Bruce Smith instead of the midget), and your HOF campaign for the self-meister will fail now. Ok, so maybe you weren't alive in 1985, but whatever. Maybe you should find another hobby, kid...
  8. I saw a bit of that game, and I think they said he was 235, pretty light for a TE, of course. You would think the Bills would offer him advice on getting bigger, but maybe there is not much he can do about it until after the NFLE season ends, in June, I think. From June until camp at the end of July, he could likely bulk up some, but probably will need to rest up for a spell between seasons.
  9. Since it is not a very popular movie, you may have to convert it to DVD yourself, which can be done with certain software tools and know-how. It is not a very simple process, from what I have seen. You could ask the movie/music company to put it out on DVD, but it seems unlikely they would do it for a non-popular title.
  10. It would be good to have a linebacker with that kind of enthusiasm, IMO. That kicker incident was out of character for him, from what I have read. Wasn't it "Hacksaw" Reynolds that used to ride a public bus to the stadium in full uniform before 49ers games? Maybe Ezekiel will be a memorable guy like that. At least you know he CARES about the friggin' game of football (unlike some players we have seen)!
  11. That is one SERIOUS-lookin' dude! I love the way they describe his on-field demeanor. Seems like a guy so passionate could make the team.
  12. I don't normally find amusement in other people's pain, but this is a special occasion. It's just too bad the Poston Bros weren't taking turns riding on the back.
  13. Oh yeah, it sounds like something Kramer would do...
  14. I'm sorry to hear that, BF. The good news is that Mark is happy and healthy now, and as fully able as anyone in the afterlife (we can only wonder, of course).
  15. Actually, it was the St. John Fisher College's 5th Annual Conference on Sportsmanship, not a sports banquet as I had called it. BTW, it's the origin of the "Big Cat" you may have seen around here.St. John Fisher College's 5th Annual Conference on Sportsmanship
  16. I also love the fact that JP had the balls to say "Hey, I'm not Rob Johnson. So I think it's time to put that comparison to rest." I love the guts he has shown already. Like that sports banquet, where some say "oh, JP called out some little kid...". But he's a guy about 6 or 7 years older than those 250 athletes at the banquet. Do you guys realize how mean teenagers can be? Especially athletes. I thought it took a lot of guts, because JP was nervous himself, and vastly outnumbered. It's a pressure situation, and he handled it. I really like his style, his work ethic, the whole package.
  17. Hey, what's all this crap people are giving Navy Bills fan? None of you other guys are out there defending the country fer chrissakes! He's a Hulk Hogan fan, it means a lot to him. He's man enough to cry when something affects him deeply. Are you guys who criticize Navy afraid to shed a tear? Is that some sign of real manhood to you? Give it a rest.
  18. Sure, maybe we keep Henry until the trade deadline has passed in October. If no takers by then, let him go, bring someone off (somebody's) practice squad!
  19. I wonder if Justin Bannan knows how to catch a ball? Or maybe give Ryan Denney another look, since he played TE a time or two. Although Peters seems like the best option among our current players.
  20. I do not think Shockey is worth all the trouble. Nor does he seem to be worth all the hype about him. One year wonder - let the Giants worry about him.
  21. I wonder if Bobby April's winning of the Special Teams Coach of the Year (voted by his peers) had anything to do with Martz slapping himself in the head and saying: "Geez, I am such a douchebag!"
  22. Reed began his LSU career as a RB, maybe he could do some 3rd down back. I hope he shows something this year! ------------------------------------- Here's some pre-draft blurb: Positives: Outstanding route runner who punishes defenders that get in his way after the catch...Short strider with crisp moves off the line...Has excellent concentration and the ability to make acrobatic grabs...Superb leaper who likes to leave his feet...Can separate across the field and knows how to vary his speeds through routes...Very smooth reaching and snatching the ball away from the framework...Works the sidelines well and will come across the middle with toughness... Gains instant advantage with his explosive initial burst. Negatives: More quick than fast…Vertical stretching of the defense is not in the cards here…Lack of height poses some problems vs. the taller defensive backs, but compensates with his leaping ability…Has shorter than ideal arms (29¾-inches). REMINDS ME OF…ROD SMITH, Denver Broncos: This kid can cut on a dime and has the strength of a power halfback, resulting in him getting huge chunks of yardage after the catch.
  23. My #26 Winfield jersey was only good for a couple years. I don't really want to put "Baker" on the back...
  24. Hey Dingo! Is that Drew in your avatar? Is there a bigger picture of that image available somewhere??? Thanks!
  25. Gee, Christie Kerr's website doesn't have that picture of her caressing the phallic trophy... What a shame.
