  1. I think, post Shelton, that we now are agreeing. I hope you agree that we need an upgrade to JJ and that its going to cost us big money.
  2. OK, so im continuing to carefully watch your salary cap methodology. So far it looks like, the Bills have a lot less in cap than reported, and FA cost alot more than they should. Im still waiting for the veil to be lifted where you say we should go the cheaper by the dozen route. Sorry, TD called out his O, he has no starting LT, they cost money, put your money where your mouth is. They aint cheap and we need an upgrade to JJ which probably means even more than he was asking.
  3. tHis is my first and last "crusade" on this. I liek the 4 3 better, but we may be headed to the 3 4. That means Pat wont be replaced. I said this in my post on the attitude of the BIlls.
  4. Consider this: Last year, TD mentioned going into FA that the Bills would not be as active as in previous years. He then followed by picking up a very good o-lineman who was a secnod tier player in Chris Villarial. Letting a guy like Damien Woody to head elsewhere. Then he grabbed one of the top rated CB's available in Vincent. However, Vincent jerked our chain a bit for several weeks and tied up some of our cap cash until he made his decision on where he would play. What I mean by tying up our cash is that we had a offer out to him and had to then put that money on reserve while other guys got signed. Im sure we didnt care much, but we may have lost a shot at a few guys over those weeks. We grabbed some backup depth with Oliver Gibso, later cut, and Jason Gildon also cut. So that was a ho-hum "not as busy in free agency", free agency. This year, TD and Co. have laid it out on the line no pun intended. They have made a huge choice by going with a young QB who hasnt played or started yet. Then TD came out and said that we werent good enough on the O side of the ball and that our skill players need to step up even more. Add in the fact that we are loosing a starting LT and DT and you are set to make some serious waves. As if thats not enough, Moulds was asked to restructure and did, and Bledsoe was cut. Now you have a fairly large amount of cap space, have said your making waves, are starting a young QB, and have your most important o-line position empty. All you cap conservatives and cheaper by the dozen type FA fans better look elsewhere. If you add all this up, I think we are set to make some big splashes. This wont be a repeat of last year at all. I see TD making some big moves for some big players. Who it will be? I dont know. I will predict the following: LT- We will either trade for a guy who is an upgrade to LT and yes a serious upgrade. Or, we will move Mike to LT and sign a high level RT, or we will move up in the draft and get a highly ranked T, maybe Khalif Barnes. I do not see us getting anyone at LT who isnt a upgrade to Jennings, who right now is the best LT in FA. So that must mean some out of the box serious move to upgrade. LG- Another spot that we will upgrade. This may not be in the form of the top G available since basically any ofthe top 10 G's out there in FA is probably an upgrade to what we have. But we will upgrade this spot. TE- With the serious injuries to both Euhus and Campbell, you cant say that we werent good enough on O and then do nothing at this spot. Again, we will upgrade to Campbell which will have to be a top tier TE considering most people think Campbell is a second tier TE. QB- We need a backup. JP is durable and Mathews just may be the guy even though Id like a more realistic option than him if JP faulters. DT- I have seen alot of talk out of Mularkey and TD about the 3 4. They have not come out and said that they are leaning toward switching. But they have talked about needing LB's. Thats a strange comment and a strange series of comments about the 3 4 if you have no intention of switching. My slepper move is for us to let Pat walk and not replace him as a starter but switch to the 3 4, then draft or sign a decent ILB or OLB. It could happen. CB- I think we may ride out Terrence for next year and see where we are. We may wait and see in FA with lots of young guys out there. Maybe someone slips a bit and settles for less money. The draft doesnt seem realistic as far as replacing McGee. What guy in the 2nd or beyond can compete with him out of the gate? And then if your not competing in 2005, why not wait until the 2006 draft and maybe use your 1st rounder? So, I think our biggest move will be at LT. The only version that doesnt mean a big big move forward in the form of a trade or trade up in the draft would be Mike to LT, and I think that may be our last option of the 3. No way, I see us going the cheap route this year. JP's a_s has to be covered and we have made too many comments about improving on O too not seriously address it in FA and/or the draft.
  5. Dont really know him, but the Steels have been said to have the number 1 OL in the league. Lets take a looksy SCouts inc: Height: 6-5 Weight: 325 lbs. Pos: Offensive Guard Age: 26 Born: April 13, 1978, Bartow, FL Experience: 4 years College: Mississippi 2004 Scouting Report - Football Scouts Inc. Name: Keydrick Vincent Position: Offensive Guard Grade: 67 | Key Alert: None Comment: Vincent plays with leverage, plays with a mean streak and gets good initial pop. Has the lower body strength to consistently push the pile in the running game and looks to finish blocks. Gets adequate hand placement and almost never loses a battle once locked on. As a pass blocker, gts adequate knee bend and rarely gives ground to bull rushers. Lacks an explosive first step, doesn't show a quick set in pass protection and will need help when working against explosive one-gap defenders. Plays with a narrow base at times, loses balance far too often and has problems sustaining blocks. Overall, Vincent is young and he has the work ethic to develop into a quality backup or adequate starter but his upside is limited by his lack of range and athletic ability. UGGG, a backup or adequate starter? Isnt that Tucker part duhh?
  6. LOL I can see his schwartz is smaller than mine
  7. Fuggin motha fuggers piece of shirt son of a vitch shirt box crap whole. That pile of crap/gold will be labeled trash/god about a hundred times in the next 4 months.
  8. I wont disagree with your logic, its sound. But who exactly is an upgrade to Jennings as our new LT? There aint jack squat. Thats a huge concern to me. If TD wants to trade for one, fine. But if he is trading for or signing a downgrade Id like some insurance.
  9. It wont come from me I can promise you that. We passed up Woody last year, how much did we hear about him lighting up the field last year? Exactly. TD knows his job better than any guy on this board. If he says no, I wont second guess him. Now, if he makes a comment like, "we just werent good enough on offense last year". And then goes the cheap route at LT, LG, and TE I will have a serious concern but still wont judge until the games are played. I think if your going to make a statement like that you put your money where your mouth is, and you feed it to the Wahles.
  10. I never said that, what I commented on was that many frachises are reported to feel he is better suited to the T spot. Thats very different than being a top 5 T. Could he be that I dont knwo, but I know that we need both and a Wahle is already a proven G, with virtually no T being left that are better than Jennings, pick up a guy with upside but sign a Wahle as insurance.
  11. I like all but Wahle is in a step up from all of them IMO. BTW, Many frachises feel that he may be better suited to T which gives us the option of having him as our LT.
  12. I havent seen a Wahle post in 2 days. How many Drew posts have there been? Maybe it should be the "I blew Drew" page.
  13. Wahles stock for us just went up a few notches.
  14. Cheaper because he is a hell of alot older. 27 vs. 33. Thats a big difference. Id love to save money but not at the expense of our o-line (see Tucker).
  15. Fine but I hope you want an true upgrade at LG and not some cheap version that usually means, "you get what you pay for". He also can play LT and I like him even more with us set to get a questionable T in Shelton.
  16. Better hurry TD, Pasq has him as the #2 best available player regardless of position. from pasq: Principally a left guard but demonstrated in the playoffs he can move outside and play tackle. Some franchises feel that is his best position, which will enhance his value. Projected landing spot: St. Louis, N.Y. Giants, Carolina, Miami, Chicago. from Scouts inc: Height: 6-6 Weight: 304 lbs. Pos: Offensive Guard Age: 27 Born: March 29, 1977, Portland, OR Experience: 7 years College: Navy 2004 Scouting Report - Football Scouts Inc. Name: Mike Wahle Position: Offensive Guard Grade: 78 | Key Alert: None Comment: Wahle has good size and shows the ability to engulf undersized defenders. Plays with good leverage, delivers a powerful initial punch and gets great pop at the point of attack. Takes good angles to his downfield blocks and generally gets into good position. Shows great football intelligence and rarely makes a mistake. In pass protection, has the bulk to anchor against effective bull rushers and rarely gives up his ground. However, he still lacks great footwork in pass protection and he is a significantly better run blocker than he is a pass blocker. Doesn't show the ability to change directions quickly and will have problems sliding with defenders despite athletic ability. Doesn't get a real quick set and he will need some help working against explosive one-gap defenders. Overall, Wahle possesses the ideal combination of size, strength and savvy as a run blocker. Gotta love him!!!
  17. Highly regarded during his run with ST Louis to the SB. Decent catcher, decent blocker a second tier guy behind Franks, Wiggins, and maybe Becht.
  18. KFFL just reported it. GET WAHLE NOW!!!!!!!!!!! I wouldnt mind Regumaeur (whatever spelling) also.
  19. maybe you dont, stay home and "cuddle up".
  20. I like it alot and will work on a helmet for it. I do have one that is similar.
  21. Gruden is a clown, how has that QB been playing for ya, Chucky? How far did he take ya last year? Bite me, and wipe that smirk off your face before I beat it off!! Chris Simms is not now and will never be JP Losman. And Brad Johnson was worse than Drew. Hes not in a position of luxury with a young talented QB, he should train his mouth to say something like, "We need to see that Chris is actually worthy of starting as far as talent goes before we will play him". We apparently have already seen ebough with JP. He can blame himself for his poor QB choices not us for making good ones and having very good options this year.
