  1. Thats FAR from scary and with McKenzie set to be gone, Martin may finally show his age next year. This is good for the Bills. If I were a Jet fan, I would be clamoring for a young stud RB like McGahee, there loss, our gain.
  2. I can understand your feeling on him going in too early. I agree that we needed to get him early and that we win on the trade.
  3. Im not sure we can answer it yet. We need to see who they grab at 22. Considering this weak draft, and a years leg up on our future at QB, Id say we did. Remember though we didnt give up a 1st, we used our 1st last year on Losman, we traded a 2nd and another pick to do that. So we got Losman one year early for a 2nd and whatever (4th, 5th?). Thats a good deal.
  4. On my list of "wishes" I would put: 1) to be a fly on the wall at OBD 2) to own a crystal ball 3) To have a wire tap on TD's phone 4) to have TD be my neighbor Then I might have a clue. The likely suspects are getting snapped up, so I have no idea. I still am hoping for a big trade.
  5. a guy who looks great in the gym. So did Leaf Larsen. If he come sup for a visit and is decided to be a great addition on the field, Im all for it. If he lasts till the 6th or 7th, why not, whats the risk? I like his potential but question his on the field ability.
  6. seriously? sucks? Campbell or Euhus is better than Becht? Franks is my number 1 TE, but Id certainly be happy with Becht, Wiggins, or Jones. Even if you view Becht as an equal to Campbell, I would welcome the competition. sucks is a touch foundationless.
  7. I would give it a B that could escalate to an A if Shelton proves his worth. I like all the moves.
  8. Sounds like a big mess, how about simply re-upping the CBA which includes a salary cap. As much as I hate Peter Brady and the Pats, I cant blame them for using there cap and I think it is the most fair system.
  9. Heres the link to the chart: http://www.steelerwatch.com/2005drvach.cfm Looks like it would take a buttload. If your saying the 25th pick, thats a value of 720. Our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th: 55th- value= 330 87th- value= 155 119th- value= 56 Total= 541, that wont get you the 25th. It WILL get you the 3rd pick in the 2nd round. But is it worth it?
  10. Really tahts not that funny but pretty damn realistic. The software writers probably used Jimmy's well known formula when writing Madden. So, I dont have the formula in front of me but late 1st probably means a 2 plus 3 and 6 or so.
  11. Guys Im trying hard not to get worried but the options are drying up fast.
  12. Arent we starting a young QB next year? and you want a rookie at LT? How long did it take Mike as a top 5 pick to play well? Do you want Losman killed?
  13. Another great one bites the dust. If TD thinks less is more, he is sadly mistaken. I will be floored if this guy shoots himself in the foot by adding bargain basement yahoos. You get what you pay for. Well, if the offense doesnt play any better than what TD called sub par this year, he can point fingers into the mirror!!!
  14. I am more and more confident each day that we are going to make a big move. TD restructures Moulds, lets 2 FA's walk, cuts Drew, calls his O subpar, and then goes out of character and sits on his hands when FA starts? NO WAY!!!!!!!!! He is a crafty bugger. Hes up to something big, I promise!!!!!!!! I needed a chill pill, thanks Mark VI. So do all of you. Im taking shots at what the big move is. Travis to GB for Chad Clifton Plaxico Burress reunites with Mike and Tom as a huge sleeper pickup. Supposedly he was headed somewhere in the Pitt airport, maybe it was here! Travis to Cards for Shelton, maybe they are still working on it.
  15. I agree with youthat our players should play smart. But if your trying to convince me that we need 5 Ethan Albrights across our o-line, we have been THERE for years now and it aint done jack for THIS team. May work for the Pats, but it wont work here. I think we are in for a sad set of years if we are trying to convert to the Pats. BTW, Some guy named Joe Andruzzi was just signed to the Browns as a top rated G, guess where he played last year.
  16. Well, you are from the Pats area. Apparently you buy into the enigma that is the Pats. Peter Brady is the leading reason they are where they are. The guy doesnt have the nuts to demand top 5 QB pay when he has 3 damn SB rings. Secretly Bob Craft and Belichump have to be laughing, giggling, and wetting themselves without Peter knowing it. They are making cracks like, "that fool has allowed us to have a dynasty". "Doesnt he pay any attention to what QB's with his resume get paid". Whatever, this can NEVER be repeated anywhere else. Dont try it, it wont happen here, EVER!
  17. I cant understand why you are so difficult to make happy? Is it that there is only one damn QB in the whole league who was worthy of being our QB? same for DT? same for LT? I admire your passion for players, its at the heart of being a real fan, but theres other guys out there. If you liked Flutie, why cant you hold off a bit. I think you will like LOsman even more.
  18. is your negativity/off button stuck? with what?
  19. OK, as inappropriate as that "crack" was, I cant help but laugh hard.
  20. Clearly, your looking FAR away from the light. We are too close to be downgrading, a few studs could put us squarely in the playoffs. If you want to go the sky is falling route, go ahead, I aint with ya.
  21. No GM or front office, throws in the towel. Thats just not plausible.
  22. Who held up the Travis trade? was it me? Was it the Bills? No it was your beloved Cards and Travis himself. I wanted a sure fire upgrade, Shelton is questionable as an upgrade. What I DONT want is a sure fire downgrade! Its not over yet, but I am growing concerned. Maybe the Shelton deal still goes through. Id love a higher profile player but Shelton is better than nothing. Maybe we still grab one of the high profile G's. I hope we dont sit on our hands, that would be a HUGE mistake.
  23. Consdier this: TD traded for Drew (a statue) and drafted Mike William, very high, and signed him for big money. Was this done to protect an immobile QB? Would TD not normally have grabbed a big name O-lineman if we had a mobile QB? This is a scary thought so dont read this with young children around. Does TD plan to thrwo our Mobile QB, JP into the fire hoping that his legs will run away from whatever filters through our porous o-line? Is he saying that he doesnt see the need to upgrade the o-line when you have a guy like JP who can scramble? That we should spend big money elsewhere? I really hope we arent naive enough to think that you can start a young QB, have him see crazy pressure, and that he will be successfull right out of the gate. I really hope we arent headed this way. Roth was, in part, so successfull because he hadthe best o-line in the league. He doesnt have JP's wheels, but comfort inthe pocket lets your young guys make smart decisions. A playmaker with a die hard attitude like Lomsan will be tempted to throw it up there if he is pressured. This is a HUGE chance for mistakes and may cost us the playoffs or even a winning record if we go this route.
  24. The nerves are getting to me. Lots of very good G being snapped up. No starting LG, no starting LT. What the fuggg?
