  1. i am not big into the awards , but that suggestion sounds reasonable to me.
  2. What if a guy puts in a year at juniors/college, then two in the AHL? Is he a rookie? Why this award in the NHL is tough...guys take so many different roads to the NHL
  3. Tag is now free for Gilmore or Taylor if needed!
  4. Letang got to go for at least 1...my guess 3
  5. well...the very nature of 40-1 suggests you are correct...but think that will be 20-1 in october
  6. Say what you want, but i just some scheckles on the Jags to win the AFC at 40-1
  7. Damn, it's a 3rd! Be the 1 St to tell you I don't know if there is a big difference in guys making the NHL and having an impact between the 2nd and 3 rd rounds, but I know some stat master somewhere sure as chit does! Also, I did not watch one minute of this series, so have no thought on how McGinn played, including last night, but found this tweet interesting "Jamie McGinn's night: Was on the ice for the two Predators goals, missed a wide open net, played one shift in the third period" Maybe he won't no so expensive LOL
  8. i am not sure, but i think the basic answer to your question is no, they do not have a block of tickets like colleges do for the visiting team. i think, and again stress think, that a certain number of tickets are available for the visiting TEAM to purchase, not visiting fans.So people like players family, friends, coaches family can attend. If those are not sold they are returned to the home team and go on sale to the general public through the home team. Having said that, for the Miami game i would be shocked if there is not an established Bills group that goes every year and has tickets. Check the Bills Backers sites and inquire, think you will be pleasantly surprised.
  9. first time dude sees hockey is last night http://deadspin.com/man-discovers-hockey-loves-it-1773136949?utm_campaign=socialflow_deadspin_twitter&utm_source=deadspin_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow
  10. i agree. I use the same setup and the frying smells less than doing a burger in the cast iron. Also helps, especially when cooking fish in the house, to put some white vinegar with lemon on a low simmer while cooking/frying...really truly helps
  11. Nanker, if you want to learn a bunch about New Orleans as you watch this show, this guy did a recap of every show explaining the references, bars, clubs, history etc that go into the show. Great to read as it goes episode by episode. Really makes the show such a great history lesson on the city...as well as ensure you will have a great time next time you go to New Orleans all the more. http://www.nola.com/treme-hbo/index.ssf/2010/04/treme_explained_right_place_wr.html
  12. this freaking game 7 is awesome
  13. Veep was awesome last night!! Silicon Valley was good as well...damn that show is just so freaking accurate its amazing.
  14. they played a little better today...but still never really threatened to score. Damn, those two wins could doom the Flyers for a while. I do know a few Flayer fans, they insist they have a bunch of good young talent in Hershey coming up and this playoff berth was just a bonus...we shall see
  15. Send a PM to stevestojan..he has been in the industry for a long time
  16. can you just imagine a starting 5 of Malone, Dantley, McAdoo...Tiny and Randy in the backcourt.....mutiple titles in my mind
  17. congrats... you did cross the border to have this one right???
  18. Losin for Drouin looks okay...should have got that guy at the deadline. Oh well, maybe it makes it easier for Stammer to come to Buffalo
  19. cmon...real question?
  20. The season ticket holder better be a long, long, long, term seat holder and have plenty of seats to get tickets to the opener. Not like in the old days(3 years ago). Bills will hold a good bit for groups who have traditionally bought large blocks in the past...groups like TBD. Will also hold a few thousand for individual sale, add in away team holds etc, bet less than 2000 tickets were sold via season tickets holders to the Indy game last year. Just something to consider in your thought process. If it were me, i would not buy seasons this year..i would purchase seats as you go. 3 December Sunday games in a row going to be a tough draw if they are not in the playoff race.Might even get the two besides the Steelers for free.
  21. I can't remember a single QB ever holding out or demanding a new contract before his old was done..Wilson made some noise about baseball , but in the end all noise. I am sure there are some examples...anybody remember one? Even one that did not technically hold out but just had the franchise tag and stayed away?
  22. and I want to be on other side of the lot
  23. we went last month, and it had been a while since I had been...was shocked at how expensive everything is! Make sure you have Lyft on your phone..i can send you an invite code for free rides...cabbies getting rocked out there and are not exactly taking nicely to it. I took two cab rides, argument both times as they were trying to go long routes. Lyft way cheaper! Get a twelve pack of decent cans to keep in your rooom..drink them at the pool and walking around beers. Stay away from the big name restaurants..way overpriced for the quality. Everything is prices Find a good happy hour for food. https://blog.vegas.com/las-vegas-nightlife/happiness-is-a-las-vegas-happy-hour-59725/ you know the place is expensive when $5 drafts of Corona and Heineken are cited as bargains!
  24. i did have a nice Oyster Gose the other day at Isley here in Richmond. I am a gose/sour fan...enjoyed it
